We have an exciting opportunity for a Veterans Community Occupational Therapist to join the Services team at Help for Heroes and play a key role in supporting veterans and their families to access the right clinical and functional support, helping them live well after service.

About the Role

As a Veterans Community Occupational Therapist, you will:

• Provide community-based occupational therapy input to veterans, supporting their physical health, independence and day-to-day functioning.
• Work with veterans and, where appropriate, their families and support networks to assess needs and identify practical, person-centred solutions.
• Support veterans to navigate healthcare and support pathways, promoting independence and wellbeing.
• Work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team alongside Community Nurses and other professionals.
• Contribute to education, outreach and engagement activity to support the Armed Forces Community.

About the Team

You will be joining the clinical team at Help for Heroes, providing community-based support to the Armed Forces Community across Northern Ireland. The team works collaboratively as a multidisciplinary group of Occupational Therapists and Community Nurses, finding resourceful ways to deliver care that is right, fair and tailored to each individual.

Our aim is to champion the Armed Forces Community as they transition to civilian life, working together as one team to support long-term health, independence and wellbeing.

Job Description

In financial year 2025-26, PCR’s virtual challenges have raised over £2m so far (against a target of £1.4m) with still one more big challenge to go! We are thrilled at the impact this will have for families affected by prostate cancer, and are therefore excited to be expanding the Events & Community team again with this new role.

The Supporter Engagement Assistant will be at the frontline of our virtual challenges stewardship, supporting a rapidly growing supporter base and delivering exceptional supporter experiences. The role is ideal for someone who enjoys building relationships, is highly organised and is eager to develop within a supportive and ambitious fundraising team.

While your focus will be on virtual challenges, you will also gain exposure to the wider Public Fundraising portfolio, with full training and support provided.

Key Responsibilities

Supporter Care & Engagement

• Be the first point of contact for virtual challenge fundraisers, responding to enquires on email, SMS, social channels and phone within agreed timescales.

• Manage supporter relationships and high-quality fundraiser journeys using PCR’s systems and tools, providing thoughtful stewardship that builds long term loyalty.

• Work with the team to continuously improve supporter experience using feedback and data

• Create and maintain FAQs, supporter resources and fundraising materials.

• Monitor acquisition advertisements and appropriately respond to comments.

Administration and database

• Manage stock, including sharing data with our fulfilment house, sending merchandise and replenishing materials.

• Process supporter and financial data accurately, including coding and tracking income & expenditure.

• Support database administration in line with data protection needs.

Teamwork

• Actively contribute to meetings, sharing new ideas and learnings.

• Work with the team to embed our ‘agile’ ways of working, where we all take collective responsibility for the team’s goals and work together to achieve them.

• Be flexible in busy times, getting involved with other projects and tasks across Public Fundraising team as needed.

• Attendance will be required at some weekend and evening events, for which TOIL will be given.

Skills and Competencies

Our ideal candidate would have the following:

• A willingness to get stuck in, proactive problem-solving skills and lots of initiative.

• Very good written and verbal communication skills – the ability to communicate clearly, empathetically, and professionally with a diverse range of people, particularly supporters and patients

• Very good attention to detail (e.g. with data entry tasks) and good IT skills (e.g. web applications and file systems).

• Excellent organisation skills and an ability to identify the best use of time to complete day-to-day tasks.

• Work effectively individually and as part of a team.

• A belief in PCR’s work, goals and our values: innovation, collaboration, accountability and empathy.

Desirable:

• Demonstrable or transferable experience of an administrative or support role, within an office environment.

• Experience working with a CRM system and Microsoft 365 applications (Word, Excel, Outlook etc.).

• A good understanding or interest in events & community fundraising activities

• Ability to handle and process financial transactions.

• Knowledge of the Fundraising Code of Practice and data protection principles (including GDPR & confidentiality).

• Experience assisting with event administration or logistics.

• Experience using social media and digital communication tools (e.g. Miro/MURAL, Canva etc).

We’ve launched a bold new pilot in the West Midlands to tackle the urgent issue of late prostate cancer diagnosis in Black men and we need a dynamic Project Manager to lead the way. In this pivotal role, you’ll bring communities, healthcare partners and local insight together to dismantle barriers, build trust, and shape a model that could change outcomes across the UK.

What the job involves

As the Project Manager, you’ll lead an innovative pilot designed to tackle late diagnosis of prostate cancer in Black men. Day to day, you’ll shape and deliver a regional model that breaks down systemic barriers to early diagnosis - from coordinating the unification of efforts to address drivers of inequity in prostate cancer to establishing a new bridging fund to support cross-sector partnerships. You’ll work closely with community organisations, Primary Care Networks and NHS stakeholders, bringing people together to build trust and drive practical, measurable improvements.

What we want from you

You’ll be someone who cares deeply about health equity and is motivated by making real change happen for Black men in prostate cancer. We’re looking for someone who has experience designing or delivering community‑based health projects and feels confident working across sectors to build strong, equitable partnerships. You’ll bring strategic thinking, the ability to turn insight into action, and the communication skills to engage, influence and inspire. You’ll be comfortable managing timelines, budgets and reporting impact, and you’ll bring a strong understanding of public health, health equity or programme management. As Treasury Manager at Alzheimer's Society, you'll ensure we can confidently meet our commitments to people affected by dementia by managing our cash flow, income streams, and reserves effectively.

About the opportunity

As Treasury Manager within our Finance & Assurance directorate, you'll own our Treasury and Accounts Receivable functions, playing a vital role in our financial sustainability. You'll monitor our cash position, forecast cash flow across diverse income streams from online fundraising platforms to direct donations and community collections, and manage banking relationships to ensure we optimise our working capital and invest our reserves wisely.

This isn't a back-office role. This role will focus approximately 80% on Treasury and 20% on Accounts Receivable.

About you:

You're an experienced treasury professional who enjoys using forecasting and data to provide strategic financial insights. You excel at optimising cash positions and working capital, and you can translate complex treasury information into clear, practical guidance for budget holders and business partners. You bring fresh thinking to treasury challenges and understand that strong cash management enables organisations to achieve their goals.

You'll have:

• Proven treasury or cash management experience in a medium to large organisation, including cash flow forecasting, cash positioning, and banking relationship management.
• Effective forecasting and analytical skills with the ability to model scenarios and provide strategic cash insights to support decision-making.
• Experience managing banking relationships, optimising cash deployment, and working with multiple bank accounts and treasury systems.
• Track record in managing end-to-end accounts receivable processes, including invoice generation, reconciliation, and collections.
• Ability to develop and motivate teams using a high challenge, high support approach, particularly those undertaking professional development.
• Good communication and influencing skills, with proven ability to build effective relationships with stakeholders and colleagues across departments.
• Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel, with strong ability to analyse, interpret and present financial data effectively.
• Understanding of financial accounting systems and how they integrate with treasury operations; charity sector experience is beneficial but not essential.

Key tasks and responsibilities:

• To develop and deliver our strategy including a business plan and regular progression reports for the Board to ensure the charity is financially robust.
• To develop existing and new income streams to secure the future of the charity and enable us to meet our charitable objectives of benefitting children and young people experiencing mental health difficulties through arts therapies and arts activities.  This is likely to include grant fundraising, exploring procurement and commissioning routes, philanthropy, appropriate business sponsorship, training delivery and pathways for private purchasing of our service.
• To line manage, support, and collaborate with our Operations and Clinical Director who oversees our team of therapists and practitioners in ensuring all staff are adequately trained, registered, supervised and supported to provide an excellent service to our clients.
• To provide leadership for the charity both internally in regards to a positive and nurturing culture and externally in regard to reputation, partnerships and opportunities.
• To ensure all relevant policies are implemented effectively, developed and reviewed as required.
• To act as one of three Designated Safeguarding Officers and ensure policy is implemented effectively.

The Avenues Youth Project (AYP) is an exceptional West London youth club that guides disadvantaged children and young people to explore and develop new skills, connect with their peers and our trusted staff, and find their confidence. We offer fun and meaningful after-school and holiday activities led by trained youth workers. Our facilities include training kitchen, music recording studio, podcasting studio, arts and craft room, sports hall and classrooms.  

We currently have an active membership of over 1,100 children and young people, and are open 6 days a week, 48 weeks a year. All activities are free-to-access, and we raise the £1.2m we need each year through donations, grants and fundraising.

We are a team of 30 employees of which 18 are variable‑hours youth workers.

ABOUT THE ROLE

Reporting to the Chief Executive, the HR Manager is a standalone role and will lead on the operational delivery of HR initiatives and will manage all aspects of the employee lifecycle across our youth centre, ensuring the organisation remains an inclusive and supportive employer.

Job Purpose

Harris Hill Charity Recruitment is supporting a well-established independent school in South West London to appoint a Development & Alumni Relations Manager.

This is a relationship-led role, ideal for someone who enjoys stewardship, community-building and long-term engagement, rather than new business fundraising. You’ll play a central role in shaping how alumni and supporters are engaged, informed and valued, with genuine scope to develop strategy and grow an alumni programme.

About the role

Working within a small, collaborative development team, you will:

• Lead on alumni relations, acting as the main point of contact and building meaningful, long-term relationships
• Develop and deliver a stewardship-focused fundraising approach, including regular and legacy giving
• Plan and deliver alumni and supporter events, both social and engagement-led
• Support communications and outreach, including social media and written content
• Help shape strategy, bringing fresh ideas to a developing programme

This is a hands-on role with a high level of autonomy and visibility.
