We have a unique opportunity to join Oasis Hub Lord’s Hill as part of our work with students and families. This role will create real impact in the Lord’s Hill Community by working alongside our Academy colleagues to support families of Oasis students and the wider community. Helping more families to engage with support and provision, including the therapeutic space of our city farm.
We’re looking for an individual who has a passion for supporting families and compassion for all, to take on this exciting role. You’ll need to be an effective communicator and ready to work with some of our hardest to reach families with drive and initiative. Best of all, you’ll be supported by a thriving team of people who are dedicated to supporting families and young people in our community, city farm and academy
The successful post holder must have:
· Experience of family support
· Experience of managing and working with volunteers
· Good project management skills, able to balance a range of priorities.
· Good standard of basic education, including English and Maths Level 2

About the role
The Network Engagement Officer supports The Tomorrow’s Engineers Code (or The Code, as we often call it) community. The Code community is a network of 400+ organisations committed to inspiring more young people into engineering and technology careers through STEM (science, technology, engineering and maths) outreach.
The Code brings together organisations of all types and sizes to share ideas, learn from each other, and collaborate to collectively improve the impact of our STEM outreach. We do this by providing them with practical resources, events, regular communications and a supportive LinkedIn group.
The Network Engagement Officer works with the Senior Code Manager to grow, engage and support Code community members (we call them Signatories). The Network Engagement Officer is responsible for growing the community through recruiting and onboarding new members and ensuring high levels of engagement across the diversity of the community through writing and scheduling regular communications to them via email and LinkedIn and delivering an engaging content series to help them collectively improve their outreach, as well as tracking their participation across activity.

In this role you will deliver FSSW’s FareChance programme, including running employability workshops and practical logistics sessions. You will also provide 1-1 support for young people where required and signposting and referrals to other specialist services and career pathways. You will bring your passion and experience in supporting people to achieve their goals and be sensitive to the inequality and power imbalance faced by young people.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Programme Delivery
- Lead the delivery of practical warehouse activity sessions for active participants and taster sessions for potential participants
- Work with the Operations and Volunteer teams to ensure smooth integration of our participants and the programme
- Support the Employability Programme Manager to deliver Employability/Life skills workshops e.g. Interview/Communication skills, CV/Cover letter writing

Programme Development

What this role entails?
The Medical Sciences Divisional development team works collaboratively with colleagues across the Division and across the Development and Alumni Engagement team at the University of Oxford.
This is a key role within the team and the post holder will have the opportunity to work with donors and academics. Development at Oxford is well established and this role has the scope to work across a number of important and high-profile projects related to the medical sciences.
The post holder will manage a portfolio of more than 100 major gifts prospects. They will be responsible for the identification, cultivation, solicitation and stewardship of potential donors able to support projects in the Medical Sciences Division at Oxford, typically in the range of £100,000-£500,000 over time, alongside to supporting the fundraising activity of the Head of Development – Medical Sciences.
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Proven fundraising experience in a complex organisation and direct involvement in securing major gifts at the £50,000 level and above
- Ability to identify new donor prospects and engage with potential donors to successfully acquire new gifts
- Ability to think both strategically and tactically about the relations between potential donors and fund-raising goals
- Ability to establish credibility, confidence and robust relationships with existing and prospective donors, and key stakeholders
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- An interest in the medical sciences
- An interest in higher education and ideally an understanding of the University of Oxford, and its goals in teaching and research
