About the role
Leading innovation across the organisation, you will be responsible for developing and delivering a strategy to grow our movement, to increase our membership and reach whilst ensuring we continue to reflect the needs and aspirations of women. About you
Highly experienced in innovation, organisational development or programme management, you will bring an impressive track record of instigating and managing successful organisational change that leads to sustainable income generation. You will be adept at designing and delivering pilot programmes, as well as commissioning research and deploying data to support action. The role requires excellent communication skills and the confidence to advise and lead at both senior leadership and Board level, as the organisation looks to you to lead fundamental organisational change. Experience within the charity or not-for-profit sector would be beneficial, as would an understanding of trends and issues affecting women across different demographics in the UK.

Each year, we reach around 35,000 children and young people through the delivery of our Financial Education Money Workshops in schools, colleges and community groups across the UK. The Workshops are interactive, engaging and relevant, covering topics including budgeting, saving, borrowing, insurance, uni money and much more. Children and young people love having the chance to talk about money, ask questions and think about what they are going to do with theirs!
We are looking to recruit a member of staff to help carry out the day-to-day management of the Workshop content, resources and delivery through our freelance trainer network, as well as deliver some Workshops directly to children and young people themselves. The Project Delivery & Capability Manager plays a key role in enabling the successful delivery of the ARUK’s 10-year strategy through the development and embedding of an effective, scalable and proportionate Project Management Framework.
This is not a traditional project management role. We are looking for a collaborative delivery professional who can partner with colleagues across ARUK to help teams successfully deliver strategic projects, build organisational capability and embed effective ways of working. Managing the Project Delivery team and with line management responsibility for the Senior Projects Officer, the post holder will help drive organisational project management maturity by acting as a trusted partner, advisor and expert for project and programme teams across the charity. Through coaching, consultation, training and hands-on partnering support, the role will help ensure major, cross-organisational strategic initiatives are set up for success and delivered effectively.
Operating within an evolving hub-and-spoke model, the Project Delivery and Capability Manager will work closely with leaders of large, complex and strategically significant projects and programmes, providing expertise in areas such as planning, governance, stakeholder engagement, risk management, dependency management and benefits realisation. Support workers will manage a number of young people to help them to identify, plan and achieve their goals, develop relationships meaningful to them and achieve greater independence by providing a flexible and individually tailored support package.
This is a Waking Night role working to support young people throughout the night at the service.
The working pattern for this role Includes: three 10-hour night shifts per week, with shift times varying between 9:30pm-7:30am and 10pm-8am.
What you'll do:
- Building supportive, trusting relationships with young people and creating a positive atmosphere
- Working proactively with other members of the team to handle the service caseload and administrative responsibilities
- Conducting key work sessions as required, that are innovative and engaging in order to achieve Support Plan goals
- Co-producing ongoing assessment and management of risks in collaboration with young people with an attitude of 'positive risk taking'
- Providing support with daily living activities, including practical assistance to support young people s to independent living e.g. budgeting, cooking, establishing a night time routine
- Supporting young people to maintain a healthy environment and where appropriate assisting them to clean their accommodation and maintain good personal hygiene
- Assisting in the recording and reporting of customer incidents
- Managing referrals, completing assessments and obtaining and maintaining all relevant paperwork
