About the role
Leading innovation across the organisation, you will be responsible for developing and delivering a strategy to grow our movement, to increase our membership and reach whilst ensuring we continue to reflect the needs and aspirations of women. You will oversee research into women’s evolving needs and preferences, whilst testing approaches with new external audiences to maximise our relevance, diversity and inclusivity. At the same time, you will actively embed innovation into strategy and decision-making in all areas, constantly find new ways to reach underrepresented women and build a wealth of data to support your recommendations. You will lead transformation across the organisation by championing change, creativity and a forward-thinking strategy that ensures the continued growth for the WI.
Location: Hybrid, with one day per week at our London, Oxfordshire or Wales office.
About you
Highly experienced in innovation, organisational development or programme management, you will bring an impressive track record of instigating and managing successful organisational change that leads to sustainable income generation. You will be adept at designing and delivering pilot programmes, as well as commissioning research and deploying data to support action. The role requires excellent communication skills and the confidence to advise and lead at both senior leadership and Board level, as the organisation looks to you to lead fundamental organisational change. Experience within the charity or not-for-profit sector would be beneficial, as would an understanding of trends and issues affecting women across different demographics in the UK.

Support workers will manage a number of young people to help them to identify, plan and achieve their goals, develop relationships meaningful to them and achieve greater independence by providing a flexible and individually tailored support package.
This is a Waking Night role working to support young people throughout the night at the service.
The working pattern for this role Includes: three 10-hour night shifts per week, with shift times varying between 9:30pm-7:30am and 10pm-8am.

- Building supportive, trusting relationships with young people and creating a positive atmosphere
- Working proactively with other members of the team to handle the service caseload and administrative responsibilities

This is not a traditional project management role. You'll join the Executive Team, with a mandate to build the people function OA needs for its next decade of growth.
As Director of People and Culture, you will:
- Provide strategic leadership on people, culture and organisational development, working closely with the Executive Team, Board of Trustees and HR team
- Develop and deliver a People and Culture Strategy that supports OA's charitable mission, commercial ambitions and long-term strategy
- Lead organisational change and transformation, strengthening structures, systems and governance across a complex, growing organisation
- Build a distinctive employer value proposition and an inclusive, high-performing culture that attracts, engages and retains talented people
- Act as OA's Designated Safeguarding Lead
- Lead and develop the HR and Learning & Development teams
We're seeking an experienced, values-led senior HR leader with a track record of leading organisational change and building people strategies within complex, growing organisations. CIPD Level 7 (or equivalent) and Designated Safeguarding Lead experience are essential, alongside the credibility to influence at executive and board level and the pragmatism to build strong foundations from the ground up. Please note: the majority of the HR and L&D team work from the Oxford office. Regular travel, as well as some out of hours attendance at events will be required, through the UK.

The Role
You’ll work closely with foster carers and social work colleagues to deliver high-quality, trauma-informed support and improve outcomes for children and young people.
Key Responsibilities:
- To supervise and support a diverse range of foster carers and children.
- Ensure children are safe, well cared for and achieve positive outcomes consistent in line with TACT policies.
- Undertaking Form F assessments where needed.
- To facilitate regular support groups and learning opportunities, which will include the delivery of training.
- Developing the service and supporting colleagues.
- Recording and updating CHARMS and all other appropriate central/social work systems.
- Participating in Out of Hours Service.
What You’ll Need
- An appropriate social work qualification
- Up-to-date registration with Social Work England
- A minimum of 2 years post-qualifying experience in fostering/family placements or other childcare settings
- Experience in supporting and supervising 10-12 foster families to meet the complex needs of the looked-after young people
- A proven track record in working with and on behalf of children, respecting and maintaining their individuality, and promoting their positive development.
- Experience in group work and/or delivery of training.
- Up-to-date knowledge of relevant legislation and regulations, including the Children's Act and NMS Fostering Standards.
- Experience of working with/supporting looked-after children and their foster carers.
- Ability to prioritise, plan and self-organise efficiently.
- Capable of using electronic records systems and IT effectively, including participating in virtual meetings and webinars
- Enhanced DBS / PVG (processed by TACT)
Travel
- Homebased role
- Travel predominantly across Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire.
- Additional travel expected across the whole of the East Midlands
- Monthly face-to-face meetings in East Midlands area
- Additional travel for training, team and carer events
