We are seeking a self-motivated and detail-orientated individual to oversee the effective running of Theos' supporter relations programme and support the growth of our fundraising from individual donors. In this role, you will manage key donor relationships, co-ordinate mailings and plan supporter events. You will work closely with our Communications team to develop and implement creative strategies that inspire generous support through digital and social media channels. Your responsibilities will also include developing a new legacy fundraising stream and ensuring all supporter data is managed in compliance with data protection legislation. 

With hands-on experience in charity fundraising and CRM database management, you will track and report financial performance against fundraising targets, collaborating with our Philanthropy and Fundraising teams to maximise giving opportunities. About the role

The Legacy Marketing Manager is responsible for the successful delivery of the legacy marketing programme, including strategy implementation, campaign execution, budget management and performance against KPIs. You will deliver multi-channel marketing campaigns that help reach new audiences, as well as unlocking the great potential we have within our committed supporter base. You'll be skilled in delivering activity that acquires, converts, stewards and retains legacy supporters to ensure sustainable future income growth. About The Role

As a Legacy Management Officer, you’ll take ownership of a substantial and varied caseload of legacy files, dealing with everything from straightforward pecuniary and specific bequests through to complex residuary estates, life interests and contentious cases. You’ll be responsible for making sure RBL receives what it is entitled to, using your knowledge of wills, probate, trusts and taxation to scrutinise estate accounts, challenge discrepancies, resolve issues and make sound decisions throughout the administration of each estate. With a caseload of up to 250 files, no two days will look quite the same, and you’ll have the autonomy to manage your work, assess risk and decide when an issue needs further investigation or escalation.

The role goes well beyond routine legacy administration. You’ll deal directly with solicitors, executors, other charities and professional advisers, negotiating where interests overlap and taking the lead on shared or more complex estates where required. You’ll have the opportunity to work on contentious matters, claims against estates, ex gratia requests, foreign assets and tax or domicile issues, as well as attending negotiations, mediations, settlement meetings and Court hearings alongside RBL’s legal representation. You’ll also work closely with colleagues across the Legion to ensure restricted and wish legacies are handled correctly, while providing accurate financial information and insight to support reporting across Fundraising, Finance and the Executive Board.

We’re looking for someone with strong experience in wills, probate and trusts or established legacy casework who is comfortable interpreting complex Will clauses and applying the law in practice. You’ll need the judgement to spot a problem in an estate account, the analytical ability to work out what needs to happen next and the confidence to challenge or negotiate when RBL’s interests need protecting. Attention to detail is critical, but so is being able to build effective relationships with solicitors, executors, charities and colleagues. This would suit someone who enjoys the technical side of legacy administration, is confident managing their own workload and wants a role where their expertise, decision-making and knowledge of the sector can be applied to a genuinely varied portfolio of estates.

You will be contracted to our Haig House hub with a minimum expectation of two days per week working in person at the hub and flexibility for working remotely/at home when not on site.

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Legacy Fundraiser. You will take ownership of Cynthia Spencer Hospice Charity's legacy fundraising programme, developing activity that increases awareness of gifts in Wills, grows our pipeline of legacy supporters and provides excellent stewardship throughout their journey with us.

The Farming Community Network (FCN) is a UK-wide voluntary organisation and charity that aims to improve the health and wellbeing of people in farming and ‘walk with’ people at times of difficulty and change. We have been described as a ‘lifeline’ and a ‘trusted friend’ by people we have helped, and support over 12,500 people in agriculture each year with a wide range of issues.

We are recruiting a part-time Trust Fund and Legacy Development Manager. You will be reporting to the Head of Partnerships.

You will build vital relationships with Trusts, Foundations and other grant providers, generating income and helping to ensure the financial sustainability of the charity.  

You will also focus on increasing the volume and value of legacies left to FCN and nurturing these relationships and opportunities.

Now is an exciting time to be joining FCN – we are currently delivering our three-year strategy (2025 - 2027) and we are working with a wide range of stakeholders to create a resilient farming future for the next generation of farmers.

You will be working under your own initiative for much of the time, and will need a valid, clean driving license and own transport. Mileage expenses are reimbursed.

Key responsibilities:

The Trust Fund and Legacy Development Manager will be responsible for:

Trusts:

- Lead on the development and delivery of a new trust fundraising strategy.

- Identify, research and write compelling applications to meet and / or exceed income targets.

- Oversight and management of relationships with existing and new trusts and foundations and delivering funding reports to a high and consistent standard, including evaluating impact.

- Writing and submitting high-quality bids and tailored proposals to secure charity funding from trusts, foundations, grant providers and other sources.

- Monitoring requirements of trust fund projects, including meeting deadlines and collating relevant information.

- Working with the Senior Leadership Team to identify opportunities and develop project proposals aligned to organisational strategy.

Legacy Development:

- Create and deliver an effective strategy for gifts in wills and in memory giving.

- Increasing income from legacies and wills, as well as maintaining and building legacy opportunities. 

- Ensuring legacy funds are utilised in accordance with the wishes of the donor.

- Managing relationships with donors, families and other stakeholders.

- Recording income and donor support accurately and maintaining databases.

- Handling the responsibilities of the role sensitively and with care and compassion.

- Acknowledge and celebrate gifts in wills to raise awareness throughout the organisation, with its followers, supporters, staff and volunteers.

- Working with colleagues to gather content and produce high quality and inspirational updates for legacy supporters and their families.

- Respond to potential enquiries about all types of legacy gifts and gather details about each.

- Gather information from existing content and new sources to draft updates and other stewardship communications for individuals and legacy families.

- Identify case studies and stories from across our work, to show the impact of legacies and gifts in memory.

- Supporting on the delivery of projects and other charitable activities as and when required.

Essential Criteria:

· Strong verbal and written communication skills with excellent attention to detail.

· Excellent customer/donor care experience with a proven track record of exceptional listening skills.

· Methodical and organised approach to tasks with meticulous attention to detail with the  ability to plan and prioritise.

· Experience in supporter acquisition, retention, and the development of supporters.

· Experience in writing funding bids, grants and proposals and tailoring bids to requirement and working to strict deadlines.

· Knowledge and experience of developing and maximising fundraising opportunities.

· Excellent organisational skills and deadline achievement.

· Computer literacy including a working knowledge Microsoft office software, (Word, Excel, & PowerPoint).

Desirable Criteria:

Job role:

Each year, thousands of greyhounds across the UK rely on the generosity of supporters of the Greyhound Trust to find safe, loving homes. With an annual income of around £4.5 million, individual giving and gifts in Wills is central to our income generation strategy and this role will help to grow and nurture it.

This role is perfect for an ambitious fundraiser looking to take your next step in the animal welfare sector. From leading on donor communications and appeals through to managing our legacy pipeline, you will support the Head of Income Generation and Engagement to shape the income generation strategy.

You will take the lead in developing, testing, learning and growing the direct marketing programme and developing supporter journeys both online and offline. You’ll develop our email marketing and online supporter journeys for now and the future.

This is a broad, varied role, and we don’t expect you to arrive as an expert in everything. Whether your background is in individual giving, community fundraising, legacies, digital or data, if you are a confident communicator and comfortable managing relationships with compassion and determination, this is the role for you.

Key responsibilities:

1. Work with the Head of Income Generation and Engagement to develop the individual giving strategy and contribute to annual planning, budgeting and KPIs.
2. Create a sustainable individual giving programme, increasing the supporter base across all channels and developing strategies to engage and motivate supporters.

About the role

This is a people-focused role for someone who enjoys picking up the phone, starting conversations and building genuine relationships.

You don't need previous legacy fundraising experience. You could come from customer service, account management, telesales, supporter care, fundraising or another relationship-focused role. What's important is that you're confident speaking with people, motivated by achieving results and excited by the opportunity to work for a charity.

You'll build relationships with existing supporters, helping them understand the difference they can make through their ongoing support and the possibility of leaving a gift in their Will. You'll manage your own portfolio of supporters, developing relationships from initial conversations through to longer-term engagement.
