About the Role
As General Manager, you will play a central role in leading and developing the work of The Victoria League for Commonwealth Friendship, raising its profile and ensuring its long-term sustainability. You will oversee the overall management of the charity, alongside the effective operation of the Victoria League Student House.
This is a broad and hands-on leadership position, combining strategic development with day-to-day operational oversight. You will drive key fundraising initiatives and business development opportunities, as well as support the House Manager and their team, and the Membership and Administration Officer.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the development and growth of the charity

The Role of Diocesan Housing Surveyor
We are looking for someone who can work alongside the Diocesan Property Manager, and Property Officer, to assist in the management of the Clergy Housing stock comprising of 160 houses across Coventry and Warwickshire.
The main responsibilities of the of Diocesan Housing Surveyor
are:
- Inspect Clergy houses and assess repairs and improvements necessary in compliance with Coventry Diocese Clergy Housing Standards.
- Implement the recommendations of the property reports.
- Arrange property inspections and implement the required works with the agreement of the Property Manager.
- Arrange stock condition surveys.
- Address reactive repairs and ensure works are undertaken and completed in accordance with the Housing Standards.
- Prepare schedules of work and cost budgets, agree these with the Property Manager before tendering to approved contractors.
What we are looking for in a Diocesan Housing Surveyor:
· Driving Licence with access to own car
· Previous experience of managing small works contracts
· Working knowledge of residential building defects and their resolution
· Proven awareness of health and safety with regard to building management and works contracts.
· Being responsible for the day-to-day maintenance of properties whilst remaining within budgetary and time constraints
· Degree Level or relevant experience commensurate to the role
· Evidence for continuing professional development.
· Familiarity using a modern Property Management software package.
This post reports to the Property Manager and is based in the Diocesan Offices in Coventry.

What is the role?
Working at both operational and strategic levels, you will play a central role in supporting the Director of Finance & Assets and contributing to the financial health, governance, and long‑term sustainability of the organisation. The work is varied, intellectually engaging, and meaningful. You will lead key financial processes while supporting strategic planning and decision‑making across the organisation. As a key point of expertise, strong technical ability, initiative, organisation and interpersonal skills, are essential.
What are we looking for?
You will be a qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) or be AAT qualified with significant experience and have management finance experience in the charity or not for profit sector. You will be skilled in preparing management accounts, budgets and forecasts, managing competing priorities and deadlines, and developing and implementing systems and processes. You don’t need to be a practising Christian, but you do need to be aligned with, and willing to develop an understanding of, the values, ethos and mission of our organisation.

We are looking for an Income and Property Administrator to join our Income and Property Management team.
In this role, you will support the effective management of key housing and property functions by maintaining accurate records relating to rent collection, lease and housing management, resident information, and property compliance. You will ensure that all internal systems remain accurate, consistent, and up to date, including:
- Rent and former tenant arrears accounts
- Lease and housing management information
- Resident records
- Property and compliance data
This is a dynamic and collaborative role, working closely with Income Officers to build strong communication links across the service. You will provide essential administrative support with rent arrears cases and liaise with appointed Debt Management Agents where required.
You will be part of a small, dispersed Income team within Housing and Property Services. The team comprises the Income Team Leader, two Rent Officers, a full‑time Income & Property Administrator, and this vacant post.
Working alongside our Supported Housing services, the Income team is responsible for the effective collection of the organisation’s rent and associated property charges, contributing directly to the sustainability and impact of our housing services.

Housing Compliance Officer (Manchester)

About the Role
Working with the DHS Executive Team and Operations Team, you will be responsible for ensuring compliance with the Regulator of Social Housing’s consumer standards across our managing agents’ properties.
This will include working closely with supported accommodation service managers, regularly visiting and assessing services in Greater Manchester, London and the North East, developing and maintaining systems for recording compliance, helping draft policies and procedures, keeping up to date with regulatory requirements and best practice, reporting and working with colleagues to develop action plans. Developing productive relationships with the several organisations who manage our properties will be crucial.
You will have a key role in ensuring the accommodation provided by DHS properties is of a high standard. Additionally, you will assist with internal and external communications and support the development of resident engagement
This is a 12‑month fixed‑term contract with the possibility of becoming permanent. The role includes regular national travel, particularly across Greater Manchester, and we welcome applicants from various UK locations. Please note that your office location will be in Manchester.
KEY DELIVERABLES
Working closely with teams across DHS and Depaul UK, you will lead work to:
• Develop and maintain accurate systems that record compliance against the Regulator of Social Housing’s consumer standards.
• Undertake desktop and in person inspection of our managing agents’ services across the areas we work in to monitor compliance performance, identify areas of concern and work with colleagues to improve compliance, creating and implementing action plans as required.
• Complete regulatory reporting and compliance returns, including Tenant Satisfaction Measures and Statistical Data Returns.
• Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of regulatory requirements, providing updates to colleagues around proposed changes and timescales for confirmed changes.
• Working with colleagues, including the Quality and Compliance Manager, to develop and review policies and procedures to ensure compliance with the consumer standards.
• Producing clear, auditable reports to demonstrate compliance and inform decision-making, including preparing reports and presentations on regulatory matters for the board, committees and teams as required.
• Ensure that residents are involved at various levels of DHS decision making
• Assist in maintaining and improving systems to ensure that the Key Performance Indicator (KPI) data and other management information is collected, recorded and reported in line with business requirements.

• Maintain accurate information and resources for DHS, including on the DHS website, SharePoint site and Teams channels
