We have an opportunity for a dedicated Case Officer to join our London casework team to manage and provide direct support, advice, and guidance to RBL beneficiaries across London on a wide range of issues including health, social care, employment, benefits, statutory support, and housing.
Our Casework Services team plays a vital role at RBL in supporting the Armed Forces community, helping beneficiaries to lead better, more fulfilling lives. Each year, we assist around 12,000 people both in the UK and abroad. By collaborating with various departments within RBL and across a wide network of external partners, we ensure that our beneficiaries receive the support they need, regardless of their circumstances.

Based in a friendly and established team, your role will be to ensure that beneficiaries receive appropriate welfare support and advice in an integrated and seamless way, providing a person-centred solution based on a thorough analysis of circumstances and needs.
Reporting to the area Casework Services Manager, key responsibilities will include:
· Manage casework support, providing direct support, advice and guidance to beneficiaries,
· Assess beneficiaries’ needs and draw on support from the regional specialist team and other providers as necessary, ensuring that support is made available in an integrated way that best meets the beneficiaries’ needs
· Support the Casework Services Manager and Head of Welfare in better understanding the needs of the beneficiaries in your area to inform the commissioning of specialist services
· Advise beneficiaries of support which may be available to them and assist them in accessing this support as necessary
· Work in close collaboration with other providers of welfare support services within the local area, developing an understanding of each other’s services to facilitate appropriate referrals and support
· Develop effective working relationships with other Legion services within the area in question (e.g Specialist Service teams, Recovery team, Branch Community Support supporters, care homes, Remembrance.).
The role is primarily homebased but will have regular travel around the London area, specifically to our Haig House office, for meetings and visiting beneficiaries, therefore you will need to live in a location that allows reasonable travel around this area. There will also be occasional travel nationally to attend training or meetings.
The successful applicant will require an Enhanced DBS check to be undertaken as part of the pre employment checks process.

About the role:
In recognition of the distinct challenges facing young women and girls (YWG), Advance has developed and delivers specialist provision for young women and girls on the Maia & Lift programme, in partnership with other specialist organisations.
Our team of Maia Mentor Advocates deliver consistent, holistic support to a small caseload of YWG, working to build relationships of trust, empower YWG to explore their identities, sense of safety, aspirations, and providing practical help and advocacy where needed. As a Youth Advocate, you will provide a dedicated service for girls aged 9-13 at risk of domestic abuse, school exclusion, exploitation, gang involvement and contact with the criminal justice systems, as well as engage with their parents and carers, putting children at the heart of your work.
About You:
To be successful as the Youth Advocate you will need the below experience and skills:
You bring your experience and ability to work intensively with a selected cohort of girls (aged up to 13) on a 1:1 basis, and within a group setting, in a trauma informed way. You will have a strong understanding of the challenges facing vulnerable children and families, and use your knowledge of family functioning, parenting and child development to inform assessment. You can confidently, sensitively and proactively assess risks and safety concerns, raising concerns with the Service Manager, working within local safeguarding frameworks and taking appropriate action to safeguard girls with complex needs. You bring experience of working with Children and Young people with multiple needs and diagnosis such as ADHD, Mental Health, Self Harm, CSE, ASD and how these impact the family, individual and self when delivering work.

About the Role:
As an Independent Domestic Violence Advocate you will provide pro-active, high quality, frontline service to victims of domestic abuse through on-going risk assessment, providing individual safety planning, trauma-informed support, guidance, information, and advocacy and enabling victim/survivors to access the services they need in the aftermath of the abuse and trauma they have experienced.
You may work within a Hospital Trust's Safeguarding Team to support both patients and staff in an Acute Hospital setting, who have experienced Domestic Abuse. You will make initial contact with victims of domestic abuse, explaining our services and assessing the impact of crime, or receive referrals from colleagues, in order to provide on-going support and case management.

About the Service and the Role
This role is an exciting opportunity to work with the Operational Services Manager (Blended Teams) to manage the daily operations of our Blended Teams functions.
This includes managing a core team of workers in a diverse range of projects and services often in partnership with the NHS and other VCSE and community groups. The role will involve multi-agency working and ensuring the continuous development of our services to ensure that they meet the needs of the community and blended team outcomes.
Ideally, you will be required to have knowledge of managing remote teams who may be imbedded in NHS services and the ideal candidate would have the skills to support staff with the complex challenges that come with blended working as well as maintaining and building relationships with key stakeholders. - Assess suitability for community connection support as part of a blended team approach and support individuals to access the service by utilising in depth knowledge of local voluntary and community services and networks.
- To work with individuals to coproduce a plan to address their mental health and wellbeing goals. Enable people to achieve these goals through facilitating access and connecting with appropriate resources.
- Enable people to access community resources which may include accompanying them.
- Offer support, guidance and help where possible to people to gain confidence, overcome initial fears and seek solutions to any barriers inhibiting attendance.
- Take a holistic approach, based on the individuals’ priorities and wider determinants of health that impact on their health and wellbeing, such as debt, poor housing, being unemployed, loneliness and caring responsibilities.

The role
The Events Assistant will support our Engagement Officers in the day-to-day coordination and delivery of the events and outreach, such as our Fellas’ Forums and Fellas’ Fairs. Working alongside the Engagement Officer, Engagement Manager, Office Administrator, and wider team, they will assist in the promotion, organisation, facilitation, and evaluation of events and engagement activities, including large-scale events.
