St Giles is seeking a highly skilled and committed Risk and Governance Manager to lead our governance, risk, and compliance functions. To be successful in this role:

You will have significant experience in governance, risk management, or compliance leadership roles with a strong understanding of charity governance, regulatory reporting, and risk frameworks. About the Role

As Head of Finance, you will:

• Produce annual statutory accounts for CHSW and its subsidiary, and work closely with external auditors

• Maintain effective financial controls, policies and system governance
• Act as the finance lead on cross functional projects and internal committees

• Support the Director of Finance & Retail, providing cover for SMT, committee and Board work where required

About You

To be successful, you will need the following:

• ACA qualified (or equivalent) and a member of a recognised accounting professional body (e.g., ICAEW)
• Significant finance leadership experience in a similar sized organisation
• Strong experience in:
o annual financial reporting and charity accounts
o budget preparation and financial modelling
o management accounts and KPI reporting
o financial processing functions
o internal controls and finance procedures
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex financial matters to non finance colleagues
• Experience leading and developing teams
• A proactive, solutions focused approach and the ability to manage multiple priorities
• A full UK driving licence

Ideally you will also have:

• Charity taxation experience, including VAT and partial exemption
• Experience with Xledger
• Experience working within a hospice, charity or large retail linked organisation
• Knowledge of statutory grant or charitable trust reporting

The Role

We are now seeking an exceptional Women’s Homelessness Lead (Surrey) to shape and lead our specialist women’s homelessness service at Wayside Community in Reigate. This community is a 19 bed, 24-7 supported housing for women experiencing homelessness. This is a rare opportunity to combine frontline leadership, strategic development, and church and community partnership building in a role with real depth, influence and impact.

About the Role

• This is a leadership role with both operational and strategic responsibility. You will:
• Provide leadership and line management to the Deputy Manager, Senior Administrator and a skilled team of support workers

About the role

If you have significant experience of delivering and guiding health and safety in a large organisation as well as providing advice and guidance on health and safety issues on both a strategic and operational level this could be the role for you. 

You will have first class leadership skills, with the ability to manage a disbursed staff team as well as the excellent interpersonal skills to support and influence colleagues, senior managers, volunteers and others.

The successful candidate will be able to build effective relationships, manage a diverse workload as well as being able to analyse and deal with complex or difficult situations, with skill and discretion.

Responsibilities

• Manage all safety, health and environmental issues within the MSSC, working closely with the Director of Young People, Volunteer & Business Support and other members of the senior management team, the area, offshore, training and other teams as appropriate.
• Manage a disbursed team of Safety Assurance Officers with the support of a Deputy Head of Safety, Health & Environment.
• Monitor changes to legislation and advise CEO and Trustees of their impact on the MSSC and any required actions and/or policy changes.
• Report and analyse safety data and identifying trends or issues.

Requirements

• Hold a formal qualification in Health & Safety (NEBOSH Certificate or higher).
• Up to date knowledge of H&S legislation, developments, practice and management.
•  Experience of risk management and compliance systems.
•  Significant experience of providing advice and guidance on H&S issues at a senior professional level; both operational and strategic.
•  Experience of managing and supporting a staff team.

About the role:

Lead the Scheme Oversight function to ensure the Motability Scheme consistently delivers choice, value for money and excellent customer service for disabled people. The role includes setting the Oversight strategy, developing the Scheme’s performance management framework, reporting on performance to internal/external parties and assisting/managing key stakeholder relationships across Motability Foundation, Motability Operations and Government departments. 

What you will be doing:

Policy and Planning: 

• Monitor UK Government policy and proposals with material impact on the Scheme; coordinate Motability’s position and implications for Oversight.

Working Relationships

This role is all about building strong relationships across the organisation to align marketing and communications with our priorities, juggling income generation, service promotion, and leadership communications.

· Oversee the maintenance of a comprehensive suite of marketing collateral that meets needs across the organisation, ensuring there is a cost-effective process in place for commissioning new materials

· Support internal communications by maintaining the Sharepoint hub front page

· Produce design and copy for inclusive and accessible marketing content including off and online for fundraising appeals, service delivery programmes and organisational brand messaging

· Maintain the AFK website, built on Wordpress, and manage the external web hosts and developers to ensure updates are successful and the website reflects brand guidelines and AFK’s tone of voice

· Produce a regular e-newsletter and increase subscribers by promoting the e-news across owned channels

· Manage the AFK social media accounts, working closely with the wider organisation to ensure brand alignment across all social channels

· Oversee the appropriate and consistent use of our brand across all communications touch points by ensuring all internal and external stakeholders have the resources and support required to work within the brand guidelines
