London Edge-of-Care (L-EDGE) is a 36-month project which aims to create positive outcomes for up 60 children and young people a year who are at risk and on the edge of being taken into local authority care. The project focuses on intervening before any formal care proceedings have taken place and provides a whole family approach.
About this key role
As a Children & Families Caseworker, you will deliver intensive, trauma-informed and whole-family support to children and young people at risk of entering care. This will involve carrying out comprehensive needs assessments, risk assessments and safety planning, and working alongside families to develop and review action plans that address practical, emotional and safeguarding needs.
This is a highly relational, outreach-based role, requiring regular travel across London Boroughs. You will work closely with Children’s Social Care and other statutory and voluntary sector services to deliver coordinated, effective support. You will also play a key role in identifying risk, including child criminal and sexual exploitation, and ensuring appropriate safeguarding responses are in place.

What the job involves
We’re looking for a Senior Evidence Officer to join our Data and Evidence team, who make sure our work is informed by the latest prostate cancer research. The team build and maintain our evidence base and turn complex findings into clear insight that helps drive change and improve outcomes for men.
As our Senior Evidence Officer, you’ll review and interpret clinical and scientific evidence on prostate cancer to inform Prostate Cancer UK’s positions and priorities. You’ll lead projects that ensure our strategic activity is underpinned by robust evidence, helping identify the health policy and clinical practice changes that will make the biggest difference for men.
You’ll analyse new and emerging research, making sure clinically effective advances are reflected in our strategic work. You’ll also design and lead in‑house research studies from start to finish, from developing objectives and writing protocols through to analysing and interpreting results, alongside carrying out evidence reviews to address gaps in knowledge.
Working closely with colleagues across the charity, you’ll contribute to horizon scanning so we stay informed about developments in research and clinical practice. You’ll support teams to use evidence accurately and confidently, work with policy and health influencing colleagues on technology appraisals and consultations such as NICE and SMC and respond quickly to evidence requests from across the organisation, including the media team.

What we want from you
We’re looking for a Senior Evidence Officer who enjoys working with evidence and using it to inform meaningful change. You’ll be confident critically appraising a wide range of evidence sources and drawing balanced conclusions about how that evidence should be used. You’ll be comfortable working with both qualitative and quantitative data, including interpreting statistical outputs from clinical trials and audits. You’ll likely have experience working at postgraduate level in health sciences, or equivalent practical experience gained through your career.
You’ll have experience designing and leading research or analysis projects that generate new evidence, and you’ll feel confident supporting others to develop sound research methods. You’ll also have a good understanding of how health services and systems work across the UK, including the data sources that support them.
You’ll be a clear and credible communicator, able to explain evidence in a way that lands with a wide range of audiences. You can move easily between writing technical research papers and creating accessible summaries for non‑specialist audiences, translating complex information into plain English. You’re comfortable working across teams, juggling different requests for evidence and responding accurately and on time.
Experience of conducting literature reviews, including rapid, semi‑systematic or full systematic reviews and broader evidence syntheses, would be a bonus.

As demand for the MRCPsych CASC examination continues to increase, we are recruiting to two complementary coordinator roles within the Examinations team: Examinations Co‑ordinator (Resources) and Examinations Co-ordinator (CASC). Together, these posts will play a vital role in ensuring the effective planning, development and delivery of the CASC examination in the UK and internationally.
The MRCPsych Examinations Co‑ordinator (Resources) will focus on examiner management, resources and logistics. Reporting to the CASC Operations Manager, the post holder will manage the coordination of the Board of Examiners, including recruitment, training, allocation and communication with all our examiners. The role also involves sourcing and managing venues, suppliers and other resources, maintaining examination systems and databases, and providing operational support on examination days.
The Examinations Co-ordinator (CASC) is a newly created role designed to strengthen capacity in CASC development and quality assurance activity. Reporting to the CASC Development Manager, the post holder will support the development, piloting and quality assurance of CASC scenarios, coordinate development events such as writing days and panel meetings, and assist with exam build, testing and post‑exam activity. The role also provides hands‑on support during CASC delivery, working closely with colleagues, examiners and role players.

About the role
We’re looking for an engaging, empathetic and self-reliant outreach worker to join our dedicated team working to deliver support and practical advice to a community that has suffered as a result of the biggest treatment scandal in NHS history.
This is an opportunity to work for an organisation with a 75-year track record of effective advocacy for our small community of people living with genetic and acquired bleeding disorders and their families. Most importantly, this role has the potential to directly improve peoples’ lives.
Around two thirds of our members are impacted by the contaminated blood scandal of the 1970s and 80s, which was recently investigated by the Infected Blood Inquiry. The resulting report in 2024 recommended improved health resources for people with bleeding disorders as well as compensation and support for those infected and affected by the scandal.
Although significant progress has been made, there’s a lot more to do. Many of the community feel isolated and with the Infected Blood Inquiry now closed there is a need for people to maintain and develop connections with others that understand what they have and continue to endure. It is vital that the community has a safe environment to express their views and seek help and support.
Part of the role will involve supporting the future generations of affected families ensuring they have the support and care they need to live their best lives.
