Major donor fundraising, however, is still developing, presenting significant untapped potential and an exciting opportunity to help build a structured and sustainable philanthropy programme.

Operation Smile UK is now seeking a Philanthropy Manager to help grow major donor fundraising, building new philanthropic relationships and expanding support from HNWIs.

As Philanthropy Manager, you will:

• Develop and implement Operation Smile UK’s major donor strategy alongside the Director of Partnerships
• Identify and cultivate new major donor prospects through research, networking (internally and externally) and peer-to-peer introductions through supporters and board members
• Steward a small but warm portfolio of existing donors while focusing primarily on developing new prospects, delivering full lifecycle stewardship from cultivation through to long-term relationship management
• Develop compelling restricted funding propositions aligned with programmes, including geographically or thematically focused projects
• Lead cultivation activity including donor meetings, proposals, events and programme visits
• Represent Operation Smile UK confidently with major donors, prospects and senior stakeholders
• Contribute to the continued development of philanthropy fundraising within the wider Partnerships team
• Occasionally travel internationally to visit programmes and accompany donors, providing first-hand insight into Operation Smile’s impact

Essential skills and experience:

• Experience in major donor fundraising with a track record of securing five-figure+ gifts from HNWIs
• Experience managing the full lifecycle of major donor fundraising, from prospecting and cultivation through to solicitation and stewardship
• Strong prospect research and pipeline development skills, including identifying and developing new donor relationships from cold
• Experience and confidence in building rapport and trust with prospective major donors
• Experience engaging trustees, senior volunteers and colleagues in fundraising and leveraging networks for peer-to-peer introductions
• Confidence and credibility when representing an organisation to HNWIs and senior stakeholders
• Strong relationship-building and influencing skills, with the ability to champion major donor fundraising in a collaborative and thoughtful way across the organisation
• A proactive, self-starting approach and the ability to identify and develop opportunities within a growing fundraising programme

Desirable:

• Experience in international development or global health fundraising
• Experience helping to develop a major donor programme from a low base or early stage

The Social Value and Community Manager will develop, drive and deliver a strategic programme of social value, community partnership and sustainability initiatives for The Fitzrovia Partnership (a Business Improvement District). This is a newly created role to join the TFP team and provides an exciting platform to develop a fully-functional programme in response to growing demand from our member businesses and partners, building upon nascent foundations and aligned to our wider strategy. The Woodland Trust is looking for a Project Manager (Mourne Park) to undertake the successful delivery of The National Lottery Heritage Fund project, Mourne Park - 500 years of undiscovered natural heritage. 

The Role:

• Achieve the targets agreed with the Estate and Projects Manager, based on the programme of works, and provide monthly progress updates.
• Maintain full project management control and budget responsibility across the programme, ensuring all Heritage Fund/WTNI reporting and recording systems are kept up to date, work programmes are delivered on time, and confidentiality is always maintained.
• Direct the project team delivering all access projects and on site interpretation, ensuring alignment with the Access & Interpretation Plans and the Diversity & Inclusion report.
• Oversee all procurement undertaken by the project team for access, interpretation, woodland creation and related projects, ensuring compliance with Heritage Fund/WTNI requirements and agreement from the Site Manager. Provide effective management and supervision of contractors and support the project team in doing the same.
• Coordinate and provide leadership to the project team, overseeing implementation of heritage conservation projects identified by the wider programme, including writing management plans when required. Promote good practice in landscape design and the conservation of landscape features.
• Liaise closely with partners, interested organisations, local communities, visitors and the media, fostering strong working relationships. Identify, review and meet with potential partners whose objectives align with the project, and attend meetings, forums and events to promote the project, the Woodland Trust and funders.
• Carry out data collection, surveys, research, appraisals and information gathering, producing monitoring reports as required.
• Support the Conservation Officer with practical “on the ground" work and assist the Community Development Officer with engagement activities such as events and volunteer tasks. Additionally, supporting the Community Development Officer in their work with children, young people and vulnerable adults across local community and educational settings.
• Develop an exit strategy for the project programme to enable the Trust to continue delivering at Mourne Park following the end of National Lottery Heritage Fund support.
• This is a homebased role, requiring regular travel to Mourne Park and around Northern Ireland, sometimes to remote locations. Occasional travel to regional offices and overnight stays will be required. You would be expected to live within reasonable travelling distance of your area of responsibility.

About the Role.  

We are investing in our Fundraising and Development team to deliver an ambitious 5-year fundraising strategy. The Trusts and Philanthropy Manager is pivotal in securing philanthropic support from trusts and foundations, legacies, major donors, and corporate partners.

 
Over the strategy period you will be responsible for developing annual trust and grant income to £500,000+, by securing grants of five figures and above and gaining multi-year donations.Using your experience in creating strong cases for support, including unrestricted costs, and pipeline development, you will work with two part-time colleagues to increase annual income from major donors, legacies and corporate partners to £250,000+ (excluding exceptional legacy gifts).

As a senior manager, you will have budget responsibility, report regularly, and mitigate under performance.You will ensure joined-up planning and delivery, developing fundraising relationships across income streams, and you will enjoy line management, collaborating with others, and leading project groups to deliver targets on deadlines. 

A typical week is expected to include at least 2 days from our Wolseley Head Office, 1-2days in Staffordshire to secure new support and meet donors, the remaining time worked remotely, with flexibility as required.

CPRE Oxfordshire is an independent charity, federated with 40+ county charities and a national office, giving us local, regional and national reach.The Director will work with our Trustees and network of volunteers to formulate local strategy, run local campaigns and liaise with the National Charity.The Director is assisted by a small staff team. 

We are looking for an exceptional individual who can work with and motivate volunteers, take a strategic view on issues affecting the Oxfordshire countryside and represent CPRE Oxfordshire at County and National forums.The role also involves management of the small staff team, the oversight of our Governance including finances, reporting, budget, fundraising and volunteer management.

Responsibilities: 

The Branch Director is responsible for leading and managing the Branch’s activities and for reporting these to the Branch Chairman and Executive Committee.This includes: 

1. Policy and Strategy 

1.1 Contributing to and implementing our position statements and strategy, as agreed by the Branch Executive Committee, in order to respond effectively to Government policies, legislation and development issues affecting Oxfordshire’s countryside. 

1.2. Overseeing responses to consultations relevant to CPRE Oxfordshire. 

1.3 Maintaining good working relationships with National CPRE and other branches. 

1.4 Developing relationships with other local/national campaign groups and Parish Councils. 

2. Campaigns and projects  

2.1 Leading and managing local Branch campaigns and projects as agreed by the Board of Trustees. 

2.2 Managing Branch resources effectively to achieve campaign / project objectives, including use of the expertise of staff, branch consultants and volunteers. 

2.3 Developing new projects to align with remit of CPRE and extend the reach of the organisation 

3. Local Planning 

3.1 Enabling the Branch and District groups to respond effectively to strategic plans, local plans, neighbourhood planning, planning applications and related matters. 

3.2 Assisting with public inquiries and examinations, including preparing and presenting evidence. 

4. Membership & Fundraising 

4.1 Devising and implementing activities to increase recruitment of new CPRE members.

We’re looking for a calm, personable and servant-hearted person to work within our Safeguarding Team, providing organisation-wide support and deputising for the Safeguarding Manager to ensure that CPAS is a safe place for everyone. The ideal candidate will have a good understanding of safeguarding in practice and safer recruitment, have experience of working in a safeguarding capacity (paid or voluntary), and will be empathetic, victim-survivor-focused and committed to a person-centred, trauma-informed approach. 

This role provides an opportunity to influence change in an environment committed to service improvement, positive safeguarding culture development, and minimising barriers to excellence in safeguarding practice. Particular focus will be given to supporting the Ventures and Falcons Holiday Ministry to ensure the safety and wellbeing of the children and young people accessing our holidays.

We are very excited to announce that we have been awarded a grant by The National Lottery Community Fund to help us support our most valued micro and small voluntary and community groups in Oxfordshire.

As the Programme Manager, you will play a pivotal role in driving forward this partnership initiative, working collaboratively with our delivery partners, with local stakeholders, community and voluntary sector groups, and our funder The National Lottery Community Fund to ensure that impact measurement and activity reporting is kept on track. You will work with two new SaM Community Development Workers, and with our partner organisation staff to develop a new outreach programme of infrastructure support shaped with and for the micro and small organisations across the county. You will develop a tailored action plan of outputs and outcomes with our Partnership Advisory Group and dovetail this with a pathway to gather data, stories and feedback on learning, impact and change. This monitoring and evaluation will be reported back to the Advisory Group and the National Lottery on a regular basis.

As the SaM Programme Manager you will manage a county‑wide partnership, contributing not only to delivery but also to shared learning, reflection and continuous improvement. You will balance representing your host organisation with acting in the best interests of the partnership and the communities it serves.

Housing Justice brings together communities and finds solutions to homelessness by building personal connections, a sense of belonging, and creating justice in the housing system. We train and support volunteers to offer various accommodation options while building a network of local support. This includes providing personalised assistance to help individuals access relevant local services and address their other needs. About your role 

This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled Fundraising Co-ordinator to join the Marketing, Communications and Fundraising team at Housing Justice.As Fundraising Co-ordinator, you will identify both statutory and grant funding opportunities to fund our projects, and craft compelling bids and proposals that clearly articulate our vision, services, and value to commissioners and funders. You will also be responsible for applying for relevant accreditations to support your applications and will have experience of building corporate partnerships.

Crisis is the national charity for people experiencing homelessness. We have embarked on our 10-year strategy for ending homelessness. We know it is not inevitable. We know together we can end it.

To be successful in these roles you will have experience of advising on a range of employment areas. You will be able to demonstrate how you’ve advised and supported managers through, sometimes complex ER issues, to reach a resolution. You will be confident in your knowledge, ability and interpretation of employment law and best practice, and comfortable building relationships with colleagues, to provide appropriate challenge. You will be interested in shaping People and Culture policy and implementing modern practices.

It would be desirable for one of the roles if you have experience of providing People (HR) support in a charity retail environment with the ability to travel and meet with our managers on site across our London shops and warehouse. Both roles will support some of our client services across the UK so occasional travel to some of our regional locations would be required to support the leadership teams on site.

What could my day look like?

The Education Worker role is a frontline, fast-paced and rewarding role where no two weeks will look the same. A typical day will have different activities, possibly spread between the IntoUniversity centre, partner schools and the offices of a corporate partner.

In the morning, you might be setting off with resources to run a workshop for sixth-form students in their secondary school. In the afternoon you may be setting up the classroom ahead of running Primary Academic Support for young people in your IntoUniversity centre. On other days, you may be travelling to a corporate partner to run a business simulation workshop for 15 year-olds or leading a group of final year primary school students on a campus visit for their graduation.

As an Education Worker, you’ll always be delivering the programme as part of your centre team, which means that any delivery is always a team effort.
