We have a new and exciting opportunity for a Fundraising & Community Engagement Officer to join our Communications, Marketing & Engagement team. You will lead a range of fundraising and community engagement activities – from writing high-quality grant applications to developing local partnerships, sponsorships and community-based opportunities.
We’re looking for someone with excellent communication skills, proven experience in fundraising and the confidence to build strong relationships with supporters, partners and community organisations. You’ll be proactive in identifying and pursuing funding opportunities, engaging directly with potential partners and promoting our work to grow Homefield’s supporter base. Role summary
Forest Peoples Programme (FPP) is recruiting a Fundraising Manager to enhance fundraising capacity and ensure long-term financial sustainability of the organisation. This new role has been designed to work closely with the Head of Programme Engagement, as well as programme and operational colleagues to increase income from philanthropic, bilateral and multilateral donors.
Location: Regular attendance at the Moreton-in-Marsh office preferred (e.g. once weekly), but remote or other hybrid arrangements may be possible for the right candidate
Hours: Negotiable for the right candidate. Part-time or full-time hours considered (no less than 3 days per week)
Responsibilities
- Proactively horizon scan for philanthropic, bilateral and multilateral funding opportunities that align with FPP’s mission and Strategic Framework Plan 2025-30.
- Take the lead in researching and assessing new multilateral funding opportunities and, if suitable, develop and implement strategies of engagement.
- Lead on researching, tracking and assessing bilateral funding opportunities and engagement.
- Develop and maintain an understanding of FPP’s country level and thematic work and related partner needs and aspirations.
- Working with colleagues in programme teams, lead the drafting of compelling, high-quality concept notes and multi-year funding proposals, including log-frames and budgets, aligned with funder priorities and organisational strategy goals.
- Lead on the project management of complex funding submissions – coordinating inputs from across programme, finance and administrative teams and ensuring comprehensive and timely submissions.
- Take an active role within the PCMT Fundraising subgroup in strategising, planning and delivering effective methods of engaging and strengthening relationships with prospective and current donors.
- Collaborate with Communications team colleagues to produce fundraising materials, and with the Monitoring Evaluation, Accountability and Learning (MEAL) team to support the ongoing organisational MEAL process and the development of associated communications demonstrating impact and scale.
Person specification
Essential qualities
- Dedicated fundraising professional with a proven track record of successfully securing significant funding from government, multilateral donors and/or trusts and foundations. Exceptional writing skills with excellent ability to translate complex contexts and programme needs into compelling proposals.
- Alignment with the vision, mission and core principles of FPP’s work.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to build authentic, influential relationships both externally with funders, and internally with colleagues.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills with the ability to work under pressure and to multiple deadlines.
Desirable qualities
- Existing contacts within relevant government agencies, multilateral donors and/or philanthropic organisations.
- French, Spanish or Bahasa language skills.
- Experience of fundraising for work in the same, or related, field to that of FPP.
- Experience of working with Indigenous Peoples and global south organisations and/or networks.
- Ability to come to the office in Moreton-in-Marsh both regularly and on an ad hoc basis as required.
- Ability to travel internationally (approximately 2 weeks per year, and unlikely to exceed a total of 5 days per trip).

The Role
As Community & Events Fundraising Manager, you will play a vital role in generating the income needed to sustain and grow our services. We are recruiting for a Fundraising Development Manager to join on a full-time basis, working 35 hours per week. This is a fixed-term, maternity cover contract for 12 months with an ideal start date in April 2026. This is a home-based role, though you will be required to occasionally travel into London (once a month maximum).
As Fundraising Development Manager, your role will be vital to the success of Alzheimer’s Society’s fundraising and engagement activities which are led and supported by our Development boards. You will play an important part in the delivery of our Insurance United Against Dementia (IUAD) campaign, a movement in partnership with senior level supporters from the insurance industry. This award-winning campaign has raise £12million to date and set a target to reach £20million by 2030 to fund projects that will accelerate progress towards beating dementia - while helping raise awareness of Alzheimer’s Society and increase understanding of the UK’s biggest killer.
You will be responsible for securing and maximising income from multiple channels, including our annual flagship industry fundraising event – Insurance Day for Dementia. You will support individual and team high value fundraising challenges, and lead communications activity with these influential supporters and their sector, utilising relationships with industry media and tools including LinkedIn.
To achieve success, you will manage relationships with insurance industry professionals at the highest levels. You will also support (where required) on activities through Sport United Against Dementia (SUAD), our comparable campaign led by some of the most senior figures in the world of sport. This may include developing tools for industry supporters and activities or supporting activation opportunities at exciting sporting events. Ultimately, this role will give you the chance to use your skills to deliver meaningful impact on the lives of people affected by dementia.

About you

The charity was founded in 2015 by Kirsten Mitchell, after she sought support from other parents she met on the neonatal unit. Spoons evolved from the acronym: Supporting Families of Oldham Neonates and over the past 10 years they have continued to grow and now support thousands of families across Greater Manchester.
With an inspirational history, and exciting future ahead, we are delighted to be partnering with this wonderful charity to find them a Fundraising Manager, someone to lead on income generation at this pivotal time.
The Role
The Fundraising Manager will lead on the delivery of a sustainable and diverse fundraising strategy. The main responsibilities will include:
- Developing and delivering a fundraising strategy and annual income plan.
- Growing sustainable income across all fundraising streams, predominantly Community, Individual Giving and Events.
- Building, nurturing and stewarding supporter relationships.
- Storytelling and communicating impact via social media, digital campaigns, supporter communications and community fundraising materials.
The Person
We are looking for a self-motivated, ambitious individual with a proven track record of delivering income from individual giving and community and events fundraising. The person should also have knowledge of other fundraising income streams. Additionally, you should have an understanding of fundraising regulations, GDPR, and a keenness to keep abreast of fundraising best practice.
Perhaps most importantly, you should be excellent at building relationships with a variety of stakeholders. You must be organised, driven and resilient, and able to multitask effectively in this varied and interesting role. We are also looking for candidates who are creative with the ability to write compelling communications including social content, campaigns and proposals.

Please note that this role requires an enhanced DBS. Based in North Kensington, Dalgarno Trust is a vibrant community centre supporting local residents of all ages through health, wellbeing, education, training, and youth programmes. As the only community centre in this part of the borough, we play a vital role in bringing people together, tackling inequality, and strengthening community resilience.
As Head of Fundraising and Development, you will be a key member of our Core Team, working closely with the Chief Executive to secure and manage the resources that enable our work. This is a varied and hands-on role combining fundraising, CRM management, marketing and communications, and organisational administration, offering the opportunity to make a visible and lasting impact.
You will lead on researching and writing funding bids, managing relationships with funders, and ensuring that monitoring, evaluation, and reporting requirements are met. You will oversee and develop our CRM system (Salesforce), ensuring high-quality data, producing reports, and supporting colleagues through training. You will also play a central role in diversifying income through donations, sponsorships, commercial activity, and use of our assets.
Alongside fundraising, you will lead our marketing, communications, and promotion, keeping our website, social media, and noticeboards up to date, and ensuring our work is clearly and effectively communicated to the wider community. The role also includes administrative and HR support, such as assisting with recruitment processes, timesheets, training coordination, and ensuring compliance with fundraising regulations and best practice.
We are looking for someone highly organised, administratively confident, and comfortable working independently, while also enjoying collaboration with colleagues, partners, and community members. You will bring experience of community-based work, strong written and verbal communication skills, and a genuine commitment to equality, inclusion, and positive social change.
