An exciting opportunity has arisen at the National Housing Federation (NHF) for an Executive Director of Public Impact. The NHF is the voice of housing associations in England. We are the trade body to almost 600 housing associations, who have grown from philanthropic roots to provide 2.6 million homes to around six million people. You can find further information about the NHF on our website.
After years of campaigning, the government's recent Spending Review delivered a transformational package of funding for social housing. It will enable us to deliver the biggest social housebuilding programme since the post-war period and to better protect our existing social homes. It couldn’t be a more exciting time to join our organisation.
Over the coming years we’ll be a key partner in helping the government achieve its housebuilding targets, delivering long-term benefits to residents and communities.
We also have exciting plans to boost the public’s understanding of our sector and ensure that housing associations are seen as an employer of choice.
This is a chance for someone with significant leadership experience, and a real interest in social housing, public affairs and policy to join us and help make those ambitions a reality. You will find great colleagues and a brilliant team, and get the opportunity to work on some of the toughest (and most interesting) social, economic and policy issues in the country.
Quite simply, this role is one of the best jobs in housing! It’s challenging, rewarding and thought provoking, giving you the chance to make a real difference.

Disability confident employer
We are a disability confident employer and if you are a disabled person who meets the skills and experience, we consider essential for the role, we will offer you an interview.
Please note: there may be occasions where it is not practicable or appropriate to interview all disabled people who meet the minimum criteria for the job. In certain recruitment situations such as high-volume of applications, we may be required to limit the overall numbers of interviews offered to both disabled people and non-disabled people.
In these circumstances the NHF will select the disabled candidates who best meet the minimum criteria for the job rather than all of those that meet the minimum criteria, as we would do for non-disabled applicants. This is in line with the Disability Confident guidelines.
We are happy to consider reasonable adjustments to our recruitment process if you have a disability or have a condition that you feel may affect your performance during the recruitment process. Please e-mail the People team with your request or to arrange a time to discuss in more detail.
Our role profile and job advert can also be requested in large print or in accessible format via this email address.

Please also ensure that your cover letter is no longer than one side of A4 and includes a clear explanation of why you are applying for this role and the skills and experience you would bring.

Senior Young Dads Worker (Neurodiverse)
About NEYDL
North East Young Dads and Lads (NEYDL) was founded in 2017 and has grown rapidly to become one of the UK’s most recognised organisations supporting young dads, men aged 25 and under in a fathering role. Our vision is for young dads to be valued and supported as parents. In 2024/25 we supported 217 young dads directly and achieved 100% satisfaction among the young dads we work with.
We are a non-judgmental organisation built on mutual trust, respect and honesty. Many of our staff are young dads themselves or have lived experience relevant to the communities we serve.
About this role
We use the term ‘young dads’ to refer to young dads, expectant dads and non-birthing partners aged 25 and under. This includes people within this age bracket who self-identify as father figures, including kinship carers and non-birthing partners.
We use the term ‘neurodiverse’ as an inclusive term covering young dads who are autistic, have ADHD, dyslexia, dyspraxia or other forms of neurodivergence, whether formally diagnosed, self-identified or awaiting assessment. We recognise that neurodivergent young dads can face additional barriers in accessing parenting support, including in how services are structured, communicated and delivered, and that these barriers are often compounded by stigma, exclusion or a lack of appropriate adjustment.
This is a dedicated role to ensure neurodivergent young dads can access the high quality support NEYDL offers, and that our wider service offer is genuinely accessible to them. You will provide direct, adapted support to neurodivergent young dads, while also building NEYDL’s organisational understanding of how to work effectively and inclusively with this group.
What we are looking for
We are looking for a motivated and experienced worker with a genuine understanding of neurodivergence and its impact on young fathers, and the ability to adapt support, communication and activities accordingly. You will be a confident networker, able to build relationships with both young dads and the services and organisations that support neurodivergent people across the North East.
We particularly welcome applications from people with lived experience of neurodivergence, either personally or as a parent or carer of a neurodivergent child, and from people with lived experience of young fatherhood.
What we offer
NEYDL is a close, inclusive and supportive team that actively invests in the development of its staff. We are a non-judgmental organisation built on mutual trust, respect and honesty. If you join us, you will be part of a team that genuinely believes in what it does.
In addition, we offer:
• 7.2 weeks’ annual leave per year (pro rata), inclusive of statutory and public holidays
• 5% employer pension contribution
• A flexible hybrid working arrangement
• Regular supervision and fortnightly team meetings
• Funded professional development and training
• Mileage paid at 55p per mile for business travel
How to apply
To apply, please send your CV (no more than four pages, including two references who can be contacted if successful) and either:
• A covering letter of no more than two sides of A4 (Arial, size 12)
• Or a video of no more than four minutes
In your application, please address:
• What excites you most about this role and how it connects to your skills and experience, bearing in mind the person specification
• What relevant lived experience you would bring to this role
• What experience of engaging with neurodivergent young people, families or communities you would bring to this role
Applications must be received by midnight, Sunday 16 August.
Shortlisting: 17 & 18 August. Interviews: Friday 21 August.
NEYDL is committed to equity, diversity and inclusion. We welcome applications from all backgrounds and particularly encourage applications from people with lived experience relevant to the communities we serve.

At Wycliffe Bible Translators, growth is accelerating, with individual giving up 36% and legacy pledgers doubling to 440 over the last three years. This means supporting more Bible translators, growing local churches, and transforming lives. Remarkably, more Bibles have been translated in the past 30 years than in the previous 2,000. Yet, 1 in 5 people worldwide remain underserved without God’s word in their language. We have ambitious plans to exponentially expand individual giving from £1.35m to £5.6m by 2032, built on strong foundations, team enthusiasm, and expert agency engagement.
As Director for Supporters, you will provide pivotal fundraising leadership to build long-term support through regular giving and legacies while valuing donors deeply. You will guide and empower a motivated team within a genuinely remote-first organisation, recognised in The Sunday Times Best Places to Work list. If you want your leadership to help us say ‘Yes!’ to supporting more Bible translators worldwide, we encourage you to apply.
Key responsibilities:
Grow individual giving income exponentially from £1.35m to £5.6m by 2032, with a focus on regular giving
Pilot, test and scale fundraising products that meet donors needs
Achieve exceptional donor retention rates through shaping a culture of fundraising that puts the supporter at the heart
Lead and empower a talented team and collaborate closely with colleagues to deliver high performance
Benefits include:
It is an occupational requirement of this role that you have a clear, personal commitment to the beliefs set out in our Statement of Faith and Doctrinal Position Statement.
To apply, visit our careers site and complete the short online application, attaching your CV and a covering letter (no more than two pages) summarising why you’re applying, how you meet the person specification, and telling us about your personal Christian journey and church involvement.

About the role
We are looking for passionate and dedicated Family Independent Domestic Violence Advocates (IDVAs) to join Birmingham's new Family IDVA Service. With 10 roles available, this is an exciting opportunity to be part of an innovative city-wide service from the very beginning, helping to improve outcomes for parents and their children who have experienced domestic abuse.
Each Family IDVA will be based within one of Birmingham's 10 Family Hubs, working as part of a multi-agency network to provide specialist domestic abuse support where families need it most. Combining core IDVA expertise with a strong whole-family and child-centred approach, you will work directly with parents aged 16+ and their children under 18, helping them to increase safety, reduce risk and begin their recovery journey.
As a Family IDVA, you will provide a flexible range of interventions tailored to the needs of each family. This may include risk assessment, safety planning, advocacy, practical and emotional support, support through criminal and civil justice processes, recovery-focused interventions, and helping families access wider services and opportunities. You will manage a varied caseload and work closely with partner agencies to ensure families receive the right support at the earliest opportunity, preventing escalation and reducing harm.
Alongside direct support, you will play an important role in strengthening the wider response to domestic abuse across Birmingham. You will deliver targeted training and awareness sessions to professionals within Early Help, education, health and community settings, helping to build confidence in identifying and responding to domestic abuse and ensuring families can access support sooner.
