The Opportunity

You will join HHU and the Bhip programme at an important point in their development, as we expand our community work and explore how digital technology and AI can help reduce, rather than widen, health inequities. Through Bhip’s co-design, test-and-learn approach, there is real potential for what we develop to influence practice across Bradford and contribute learning more widely.

This is a distinctive and evolving role, combining hands-on community engagement with strong digital and technical expertise. You will help shape practical approaches to digital inclusion, develop culturally grounded support and training, and explore how emerging technology and AI can be used safely, ethically and creatively by communities and the HHU team.

You will also have opportunities to work creatively with Bhip’s co-design and communications colleagues and with digital filmmakers, content creators and others, exploring new ways for communities to participate, tell their stories, build skills and influence change through technology.

As technology, communities and Bhip develop, so will this role, giving you genuine scope to test ideas, learn what works and help shape how digital inclusion is approached in practice.

About you

You will be an experienced, community-focused practitioner with a strong background in co-design, participation, community research or related approaches, and experience of working directly with Global Majority communities and people from different faiths, cultures and backgrounds.

You will be a skilled facilitator and listener, able to build trust, work sensitively with lived experience and use creative, culturally grounded approaches to involve people meaningfully.

You will be curious, practical and adaptable, confident working collaboratively while also taking the lead on developing and delivering Bhip’s co-design approach.

The Opportunity

This is an exciting and unique opportunity to help shape and lead an ambitious approach to community co-design within HHU and the Bhip Programme, working alongside Global Majority communities experiencing some of Bradford’s greatest health inequities.

You will work directly with people and communities to explore their experiences of clinical and community-based health and care, including where racism, discrimination and structural barriers affect access, experience and outcomes. Using co-design, participatory research, deep listening, storytelling and creative approaches, you will explore what matters, what gets in the way and what communities tell us needs to change.

A key part of the role will be developing culturally grounded and accessible ways of working, recognising that conventional consultation and research methods do not work equally well for everyone. You will have the freedom to test and develop different approaches with communities, including creative, visual, narrative and participatory methods, and share what we learn locally and through Bhip’s wider national lottery collective network.

You will lead the development of Bhip’s co-design methodology while remaining a hands-on practitioner. Working closely with the HHU Programme Manager, Bhip Programme Lead, Insight & Evaluation Lead and Community Engagement Facilitators, you will help connect community participation, research and lived experience to Bhip’s Story-to-System approach, ensuring that what communities tell us can contribute to practical learning, action and change.

You will also help build the confidence and capacity of the wider Bhip team to work in genuinely co-designed ways and, where people want to become more involved, support community members and lived-experience leaders to develop as co-designers, peer/community researchers or Story Stewards.

The role will evolve as Bhip develops. We do not expect every method or area of work to be predetermined. We are looking for someone with the experience, curiosity and judgement to work alongside communities, test ideas, learn from what works and help us develop approaches that are meaningful in Bradford and potentially useful much more widely.

The role is based at Hautbois, right in the Norfolk countryside. Flexible working may be possible where it suits the business, though some evenings and weekends will be part of the job given the nature of a residential site. The centre isn’t easily reached by public transport, so a car and full driving licence are essential for commuting and the occasional meeting further afield.

The Opportunity

We are supporting an established UK animal welfare charity with the appointment of a Database & Fundraising Manager on an initial 7-month fixed-term contract, with the potential for the position to become permanent. Ideally able to travel to the Kent office Wednesday's but not essential.

This is a hands-on fundraising operations role with responsibility for the charity's CRM, supporter data, income processing, reconciliations, direct debits, lottery administration and fundraising campaign data.

About this job

This part-time, fixed-term role (21 hours per week) will coordinate our Breathing Space project in Wales until March 2029. The project enables unpaid carers supporting people with MS and other neurological conditions to take short breaks.

We are seeking an enthusiastic, experienced Project Coordinator who enjoys delivering fixed-term funded projects, working directly with the people we support and our volunteers. Excellent communication skills and a proven ability to achieve project objectives are essential.

You will work closely with unpaid carers, people affected by MS and other neurological conditions, key external partners, the Service and Support Team, the Director for Wales and teams across the MS Society. Focused on outcomes and tangible results, you will build strong stakeholder partnerships and represent the MS Society at meetings and events promoting the project to unpaid carers.

The role can be based anywhere in Wales, but regular travel across Wales is expected.

Welsh language skills are desirable

This is a broad and influential finance leadership role, reporting directly to the CFO and overseeing a team across finance operations and administration. It’s an excellent opportunity for a qualified accountant who enjoys being close to the detail while also playing a key role in strengthening systems, controls and organisational performance.

Key Responsibilities

· Financial accounting, reporting, budgeting and forecasting

· Annual statutory accounts and month-end processes

· Audit, governance, compliance and financial controls

· Cashflow, banking and investment management

· Donations management and Gift Aid

· Payroll, payments and financial administration

· Finance systems and process improvement

· Office administration and shared services

· Leading, developing and mentoring a small finance team

We’re looking for a qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA) with at least three years’ post-qualification experience and a strong grounding in financial and management accounting. You’ll ideally bring experience across UK GAAP, Charity SORP, charity accounting, VAT, audit, multi-currency environments and financial systems, alongside excellent Excel skills. Experience with donor management systems would also be advantageous but not a requirement.

Beyond the technical skills, this role would suit someone who is collaborative, pragmatic and comfortable operating across a wide range of stakeholders. Someone who can combine strong financial governance with a service-focused, solutions-oriented approach.
