As a Residential Support Worker, you will work under the supervision and guidance of the Care Management Team, Senior Residential Support Workers, and Therapy Teams. You will support learners in all residential houses and the community, assisting with social and academic activities.
Our aim is to ensure all learners have equal opportunities to develop their independence and social skills, preparing them for adult life.
What will you be doing?
- Supporting learners with self-care and independence skills such as eating, drinking, washing, bathing, using the toilet, managing incontinence, dressing, mobility, and medication administration.
- Ensuring learners' care files are kept up to date and accurate.
- At the start of each shift, reviewing communication and log books, and liaising with staff at handover to ensure learners' needs are well documented and addressed.
- Establish supportive relationships with learners and encourage the development of stable relationships.
- Promote the emotional health and self-esteem of learners and support them through changes in their living situation and personal circumstances.
- Accompanying learners into the community to take part in social and recreational activities such as bowling, cinema trips, and dining out, helping them build confidence and enjoy meaningful experiences beyond the college setting.

Job Title: Recovery Worker
Location: West Ealing - Step free access available
Salary: £27,000
Shift Pattern: 37.5 hours per week on a rolling rota between Monday to Sunday varying shifts from 07:30 - 16:00 or 13:30 - 21:00. You may be required to work outside these hours as per service requirements.
About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Recovery Worker to join our team in based in Ealing. We support adults experiencing loneliness, isolation, and mental health challenges and providing pathways, support, and appropriate interventions that will enable successful resettlements, and deliver to achieve safer, integrated communities for our stakeholders. Marron House has 18 bed spaces and we provide personalised support around daily living skills such as budgeting, shopping, cooking, reminders to take medication and developing a structured weekly routine.
Key Responsibilities:
- Initiate appropriate interventions to prevent crisis or other risks.
- Ensure service responsibilities and requirements are carried out effectively.
- Ensure all participants understand their rights and responsibilities.
- Develop, participate in, and encourage participants to participate in the running and development of various projects and activities.
- Empower participants to make decisions to take control over their lives, by creating an enabling environment.
- Provide advice, information, guidance, and life skills training to participants as required.

We currently wish to recruit a Chief Executive Officer.
The successful candidates will work closely with the Board of Kerry Community Youth Service to deliver our new strategic plan 2023 - 2026. The successful candidate will also work closely with key personnel across Kerry Community Youth Service to ensure our services, facilities and projects continue to be responsive to the needs of the families, communities, and young people that we work with.
The CEO will have responsibility for the management, finance, governance and compliance portfolio across the organisation as well as ensuring that all reporting and auditing requirements are fulfilled in a timely manner.
As well as leading a very committed staff team across Kerry Community Youth Service, the CEO will foster, develop, and promote the role of volunteers across the organization.
Working closely, collaboratively and effectively with a range of external strategic partners and funders (both statutory and non-statutory at a regional, national and European level), and in particular with Youth Work Ireland, the CEO will garner as many resources as possible to ensure that “youth work for all” is a reality for all young people in Kerry.

About the role
This role will be an expert resource to support the Housing Income Team on legal issues and best practice on all aspects of income management and debt recovery. Ensuring collection of the maximum amount of rental income to ensure sufficient revenue to maintain a first-class housing service, and good quality, safe homes as well as compliance with all relevant legislation, including the Social Housing (Regulation) Act 2023. There will be a focus on reviewing, implementing and monitoring of tenant service charges and legislative changes which may impact on what we can collect.
The role will help drive a positive performance culture with a tenant centred approach and will manage a small team of Tenancy Sustainment Officers as well as deputise for the Income Management Team Leader in their absence.
About you
You should be educated to degree level or able to demonstrate significant experience in an equivalent role, have a high level of literacy and analytical skills and experience of working with a range of client groups within the community. Working knowledge of housing, landlord and tenant legislation, regulations, standards and core disciplines of work area is essential for this role as is experience of successfully managing staff, debt recovery and service charging in a social housing setting.
You must be an excellent communicator, be literate and be able to use a range of Microsoft Office products and work specific software packages. There is a requirement for you to also be available as part of the council’s emergency planning arrangements subject to service requirements.
