Cast from Clay is growing and so we are looking for a part-time Finance Assistant to join our team. We’re not looking for someone who’s going to hide in the back office. You should have an interest in the work that we do and want to be a part of it.

Cast from Clay is a communications consultancy for those who work on policy change. Most good ideas in the world of policy never make it to the desk of a decision-maker. That’s where we come in.

The Role

Role type: Part-time

Schedule: 2 days per week

Salary: £30,000  full time equivalent

Location: Hybrid (we’re based in Vauxhall, London; you should plan to be there at least every other Thursday)

Start date: As soon as possible

Reporting to the Commercial Director, you'll be looking after:

• Book-keeping: Posting purchase invoices, keeping track of payments and receipts, making sure costs are allocated correctly and keeping our financial records up to date and squeaky clean.
• VAT: Preparing & submitting our quarterly VAT returns accurately and on time.
• Invoicing & credit control: You’ll take charge of the monthly invoicing process, gathering information from contracts, timesheets and project software to prepare accurate invoices for our clients and encourage them to pay on time. You’ll make sure what we bill reflects the work we’ve actually delivered.
• Payments & payroll: You’ll prepare a weekly payment schedule, making sure our valued freelancers get paid on time and keeping an eye on cashflow. You’ll also bring our monthly payroll preparation and reporting in-house (currently outsourced).
• Reporting & forecasting: You’ll be working closely with the Commercial Director and the Head of Strategy to ensure we’re on track with monthly targets, monitor financial trends, and flag risks or opportunities early - keeping our cash flow, accounts, and forecasts accurate and up to date.

Hybrid setup. We work from our offices in Vauxhall on Tuesdays and Thursdays; we’ll want to see you there for a full day at least once a fortnight on a Thursday but otherwise, you can work when and where you choose.

We have an exciting new role at Bags of Taste!

We’re looking for an  enthusiastic and passionate experienced Corporate and Community Fundraiser to play a key role in the growth of our corporate and community income and develop new partners. This brand new role will develop fundraising opportunities with businesses and  community groups, helping to broaden our supporter base and strengthen long-term relationships. 

This is an fantastic opportunity for a motivated and proactive individual who is keen to make a tangible difference. This is the first time we’ve recruited a corporate and community fundraiser and there is significant opportunity to raise funds as our organisation grows. Imperial’s Natural Sciences and Trusts, Foundations & Corporates fundraising teams are seeking a motivated and highly organised Development Assistant to play a central role in supporting our communications, administration and data management. Your work will help strengthen relationships with donors and partners and contribute to successful fundraising outcomes across two dynamic teams.

This is a fast paced, target driven environment, so you’ll bring excellent communication skills, strong attention to detail and a proactive, solution focused approach. The Natural Sciences and Trusts, Foundations & Corporates fundraising teams sit within the Advancement Division, which secures significant philanthropic income each year to support strategic priorities. The Division also ensures donors are appropriately thanked, stewarded and reported to. Together, the teams raise funds from alumni, friends, trusts, foundations and corporate partners for initiatives such as scholarships, research and infrastructure.

Working closely with the Head of Development and the Deputy Director, you will provide critical support to help ensure their time is used effectively to maximise philanthropic income. In this varied role, you will support communications, data entry and analysis, diary and meeting management, and the coordination of processes that keep day-to-day operations running smoothly across the teams and wider division.

Further Information

This is a full‑time post (35 hours per week). The role is hybrid, with an expectation of a minimum of two days per week on site, though occasional flexibility or additional on‑site days may be required. Our main office is based in White City; you may also be asked to attend the South Kensington campus from time to time.

First-round interviews are expected to take place in person during the week beginning 27 April. The interview will include a role related task.

Responsibilities

About the role:

Street Outreach & Engagement – Identify and build relationships with rough sleepers and beggars across various locations and times, including those who are disengaged from services.
Assertive Outreach & Support – Work closely with entrenched rough sleepers, encouraging engagement with services and providing rapid assistance.
Substance Use & Healthcare Access – Connect individuals with drug and alcohol support, mental health services, and other healthcare provisions.
Case Management & Housing Support – Oversee service users’ treatment journeys, assist in hospital discharge planning, and collaborate with housing providers to secure appropriate accommodation.
Partnership & Multi-Agency Work – Act as the key link between CGL services, rough sleeping partners, hostels, shelters, the local council, and other support agencies to coordinate care and maximise opportunities for recovery.
Crisis & Emergency Response – Participate in monthly overnight street counts, unsociable-hour shifts, and emergency interventions during severe weather conditions.
Administration & Best Practice – Maintain accurate records, attend case conferences, and contribute to partner tasking meetings to ensure service users receive consistent and effective support.

About you:  

• Have a strong understanding of substance misuse issues and experience of working within a similar field 

• Be an excellent communicator, both verbal and written with good IT skills 

• Proactive and able to work on own initiative with excellent time management and prioritising skills 

• Have a good working knowledge of mental health interventions, services, and good practice 

• Be a supportive team player with strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work in partnership with a wide range of professionals, agencies, and internal/external stakeholders

About you

We are looking for a passionate fundraiser with keen interest in the charity sector, particularly in humanitarian work. The ideal candidate will have a range of cross-channel experience, ideally in the charity sector and in an Individual Giving team, with a particular focus on retention and engagement activity. We are looking for someone with the passion to drive and improve our retention and engagement campaigns, to critically review campaigns and implement improvements, and to put their own stamp on the role.

About the role

The Senior Individual Giving Executive will play a key part in the delivery of the Individual Giving programme, producing sector-leading comms and campaigns to recruit and retain supporters. You will work closely with the rest of the IG team and the Fundraising and Communications Department to deliver high-quality, data-led campaigns across a range of marketing channels. The role will include campaign delivery, budgeting, strategy and planning, managing relationships with key suppliers and driving continuous campaign improvement.

This role will focus predominantly on retention and engagement activity, with a particular focus on mailings, emails and telemarketing, amongst other channels, though there is flexibility for this to change in the future.

We’re looking for an experienced and collaborative Head of Finance to lead our financial management, planning, and governance.

This is a senior and influential role, sitting on our Leadership Group and working closely with the CEO, Trustees, and Finance Committee. You’ll provide clear financial insight to support decision-making, ensure strong financial stewardship, and help us plan sustainably for the future.

About you

• Significant experience in a senior finance role within a charity or not-for-profit
• Strong knowledge of charity finance, including SORP, restricted funding, and compliance
• Experience producing management accounts, budgets, and forecasts for non-finance audiences
• The ability to influence and support senior leaders with financial insight
• A proactive, hands-on approach with strong attention to detail

A professional accountancy qualification (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) or equivalent experience is desirable.

This role is designed as a part-time position (28 hours/week) with flexibility around how hours are worked. We are a hybrid organisation, with the option to work remotely or from our London offices (Croydon or Brent). We ask that ideally you attend at least one in-person team day per month in London.

This is a first line, important and meaningful holistic information and advice-giving role for an experienced Welfare Benefits Advisor. It’s about using information you collect to provide immediate welfare benefits advice and guidance, and/or refer, escalate and signpost seamlessly to other colleagues and services according to client needs.

It’s a rewarding welfare benefits job working with people with a cancer diagnosis. It’s one where you’ll make an immediate difference through your practical and sound advice, existing customer service skills and knowledge and experience in the welfare benefits area.

The role is primarily home based with Cardiff Head Office working welcome. You’ll need to be flexible to commute to Cardiff as required with a higher concentration of days during your induction and probation period for training and team interaction on at least a monthly basis.

Working as part of a Financial Health and Wellbeing service, you’ll be making a first line assessment to determine urgency and priority for new client referrals gathering key financial and health information. Your work is mainly done over the phone but may also be in person or digitally where you’ll be advising and making decisions on next actions including giving advice to complete your cases, referring on or escalating the most complex cases.

Service referrals may come from cancer medical professionals or self-referrals from cancer patients. What’s important is you understand the whole picture and gather the right level of financial health information to give appropriate financial benefits advice and signpost to other services from the start of the relationship, so all potential cancer support opportunities are handled professionally.

Our service user experience is key, you’ll make sure the way you work is professional and personable and quality. You’ll be supporting and advising your own caseload of clients with a chronic cancer condition or a life-limiting cancer prognosis so knowledge of working with people with disabilities, people too ill to work or in a distressing situation is something you can comfortably manage in a targeted environment.
