Teenage Cancer Trust is the only UK charity dedicated to providing specialised nursing care and support for young people aged 13–24 with cancer. Every day, seven young people in the UK hear the words “you have cancer”, and Teenage Cancer Trust ensures they do not face it alone.
The charity funds specialist nurses and youth support teams in hospitals across the UK and provides vital emotional, practical and psychological support for young people and their families during and after treatment.
Regional fundraising is a core income stream for Teenage Cancer Trust, generating income through a combination of community and corporate fundraising. Supporters are often personally connected to the cause, including young people, families and communities directly impacted by cancer, making this a highly rewarding fundraising environment.
Teenage Cancer Trust is now seeking a Senior Relationship Manager (West Scotland) to grow and develop income across the West of Scotland. With an individual income target of c.£130k and a combined Scotland regional target of c.£260k across East and West Scotland, this role will play a key part in strengthening existing relationships while identifying and developing new fundraising opportunities across a region with significant growth potential.
Reporting to the Regional Fundraising Area Manager, you will be responsible for building long-term supporter relationships and developing strategic area plans to maximise fundraising opportunities. You will also work closely with frontline nursing teams, volunteers and colleagues across the organisation, ensuring supporters experience the impact of their fundraising while helping identify new opportunities across both community and corporate audiences.
As Senior Relationship Manager, you will:
- Manage and grow a portfolio of community and corporate supporters across West Scotland

Join Greater Manchester Youth Federation (GMYF) — a long-established charity running vibrant youth centres across Greater Manchester. We’re dedicated to raising aspirations and creating opportunities for young people, especially those facing disadvantage, through exciting activities, outreach, and outdoor adventures. Purpose of Role:
The Youth Work Co-ordinator plays a key role in the day-to-day delivery of high-quality youth work within the centre and the wider community. Working closely with the Centre Manager, the postholder coordinates sessions, leads delivery in practice, and provides guidance and support to youth workers during activities.
This is a hands-on practice leadership role, combining direct youth work with responsibility for session planning, staff co-ordination during delivery, pastoral support, and contribution to residentials and projects. The role supports, but does not replace, the Centre Manager’s accountability for staff line management, safeguarding leadership, and overall centre management.
In the absence of the Centre Manager, the Youth Work Co-ordinator acts as the senior on site lead for day-to-day centre operations and youth work delivery, while not holding line management or strategic authority. This responsibility relates to immediate operational safety and session delivery only, and does not include line management, budgetary authority, or strategic decision-making.
Key Responsibilities:
Youth Work Delivery and Session Leadership
- Lead and deliver high quality, inclusive, and young person-centred youth work across centre based provision, outreach, streetbased work, community settings, and outdoor activities.
- Co-ordinate day to day youth work delivery, ensuring sessions and activities (on site and off site) are engaging, purposeful, and responsive to young people’s needs.

About the role
As local campaigning lead in our award-winning public affairs and campaigns team, you will play a pivotal role in driving Sands’ mission to save babies’ lives and ensure bereaved families receive the care and support they need.
You will need experience of delivering and evaluating impactful campaigns, and of working in close partnership with those with lived experience to create meaningful, lasting change at a local or national level.
This is a dynamic, outward-facing role that combines strategic campaigning with hands-on community organising. You will have the skills to support and develop a network of local campaigners, empowering volunteers and supporters to take action in their communities, influence decision-makers, and improve services over the long term. You will also feel comfortable representing Sands at a local level, developing strong relationships to amplify the organisation’s voice and impact.

Main Purpose of Job
To lead Sands’ local campaigning function.
Co-lead impactful campaigns at a local and devolved nation level with bereaved parents and families, supporting Sands core aims to save babies lives and ensure anyone affected by the death of a baby receives the care and support they need by:
1. Leading the implementation and evaluation of Sands local campaigns to further our core aims.
2. Developing the capacity of Sands local volunteers, supporters and campaigners to take action to improve their local services in the long-term.
3. Ensuring that Sands campaigns are evidence based and reflect the views and experiences of a diverse range of bereaved parents and families.
Principle Tasks and Responsibilities
Leading implementation, and evaluation of Sands local campaigns to further Sands core aims.
- Lead local campaigns at Sands in line with our local campaigning strategy, collaborating and planning with key internal stakeholders, and staying up to date with best practise in local campaigning and community organising techniques externally.
- Evaluate the success of the local campaigns with internal and external stakeholders, implementing recommendations for future improvement.
- Work with colleagues to grow Sands’ local campaigning presence across the UK, including supporting funding applications to build staff capacity.
- Manage the budget for local campaigning.
- Represent Sands at a local level, attending meetings, and building relationships, with local politicians, NHS and council officials, journalists, third sector organisations, and other local stakeholders.

· Ensure that the views of bereaved parents and families inform Sands campaigns and provide opportunities for Sands volunteers to get involved in our campaigning activity.
· Provide direct support to bereaved parents to help them become confident campaigners, so they are well informed, equipped to speak out and know how to go about it.
General tasks

Stroke Support Worker
We are looking for an empathetic, adaptable individual, experienced in person centred support to work with stroke survivors and their loved ones on the stroke ward in Doncaster Royal Infirmary.
Position: 000029 Stroke Support Worker
Location: Homebased, Doncaster, South Yorkshire. However, travel will be required twice weekly to Doncaster Royal Infirmary as part of this role (and occasional wider travel may include team meetings or other work-related meetings)
Hours: 21 - 28 hours per week with a minimum of 21 hours. The exact weekly hours (up to 28) will be agreed with the successful candidate
Salary: £17,000 – £22,600 per annum depending on hours (FTE circa £28,340.58)
Contract: 12 month fixed term contract

The Role
This work is part of a project (the Integrated Offer), exploring the needs and ongoing connection for people affected by stroke in hospital and beyond.
The role will involve delivering person-centred stroke support in the hospital setting, while working with the Integrated Offer team to test and implement new approaches. The areas we aim to deliver and test are:
· Deliver person centred conversations with people affected by stroke on the acute ward.
· Following an initial conversation, test how people affected by stroke connect with the Stroke Association next, and what they connect to.
· Explore how to increase connection with those who are not present on the ward at the same time as us.
(note- we may test some or all the above)
To support flexible delivery and testing, you'll also develop your skills by providing phone support to people affected by stroke.
The role includes working in Doncaster Royal Infirmary starting with twice weekly visits, for 3 hours per session. These sessions can be any time after 11am. The length, timing and cadence of the sessions may need to adjust as this is a test and we will be led by what works for the hospital and people affected by stroke.
Occasional overnight stays may be required.

ABOUT THE ROLE

The Role
We are looking for an Advice & Guidance Officer who can make a meaningful difference in the lives of deaf children, young people, and their families.
A key focus of this role will be delivering the service remotely using technology. In addition, you will use your interpersonal skills and experience working with families to connect with local community groups, raise awareness of our services, promote membership, and provide support to families, deaf young people, and professionals.
This role is part time, based on 21 hours per week.
This is a fully remote role, but will have a focus on Central Scotland Casework and will require some regional travel so applicants should live in Scotland and possess a driving licence and have access to a car.
What you'll do
- Deliver tailored information and advice to individuals and groups of deaf children, young people, and their families.
- Support deaf children, young people, and their families in becoming more confident in articulating their needs independently.
- Help deaf children, young people, and their families explore their options and decide on a preferred course of action.
- Develop and maintain effective relationships with professionals and organisations that support deaf children.
- Attend both in-person and online events to provide information and advice tailored to different audiences.
What you'll need
- Significant experience and understanding of the skills and practices required to deliver person-centred support to children, young people, and their families.
- Experience providing information and advice to families and young people, both digitally and face-to-face.
- A strong working knowledge of education and special educational needs, including relevant legislation, government guidance, and local implementation.
- An understanding of deafness and its impact on children, family dynamics, raising a deaf child, and child development-translating this into effective, child-centred practice.
- Strong digital skills and a sound understanding of agile values & principles.

Role purpose
The Head of Finance is a key member of the Charity’s senior management team, working closely with the chief executive, directors, and trustees. The head of finance will lead the day-to-day financial operations of the Charity, including budgeting, reporting, audit, payroll, and pensions. Managing the finance manager and management accountant, the Head of Finance will ensure the effective running of the finance department and smooth day-to-day processes. Reporting directly to the Chief Executive, you will be a key advisor on strategic financial decisions, balancing meticulous operational control with strategic planning.
As the Head of Finance, you will:
- Proactively contribute to the development and delivery of the Charity’s strategy through developing long-term financial planning to underpin our objectives.
- Act as senior finance business partner to the senior leadership team, supporting strategic and operational decision-making.
- Lead on the annual audit and production of statutory accounts, ensuring effective management of the audit process.
- Support the rest of the Charity team to become financially informed and comfortable understanding financial performance, control, and accountability.
Main responsibilities
Financial controls, reporting, and operational finance
- Lead the finance function of the Charity, ensuring accurate, timely, and compliant financial management and reporting.
- Ensure that appropriately robust internal financial and operational controls are in place.
- Ensure that our unrestricted and restricted funds and accounting records are maintained in accordance with legal and regulatory requirements and best practice.
- Ensure timely and accurate monthly management accounts and other reports are produced by the finance team and distributed to members of the senior management team, encouraging ownership of departmental budgets.
- Manage and oversee accounts receivable and payable, ensuring strong cash management.
- Ensure all banking facilities, financial systems, and internal processes function to a high standard and enable the Charity to carry out its transactional and operational financial functions.
- Lead financial risk identification and mitigation, working closely with the chief executive and leadership team, and reporting to the board of trustees.
Financial administration and governance
- Manage the production of statutory accounts in line with the Charity SORP and lead the annual external audit process.
- Oversee our tax affairs, including PAYE, national insurance, corporation tax, VAT, and gift aid.
- Responsible for our payroll and pensions functions.
- Maintain and continuously improve financial policies, procedures, and controls, working closely with the fundraising and operations teams to ensure organisational efficiency.
- Identify and escalate financial risks to the chief executive and board
- Line manage and support the management accountant and finance manager, ensuring professional development and high-quality output.
Person specification
Knowledge and experience
We are looking for candidates with demonstrable strategic financial leadership spanning organisational planning, budgeting, risk, and reporting. You will have:
- You must be a fully qualified accountant (ACCA, ACA, OR CIMA)
- Excellent knowledge of charity financial management, SORP, and audit is essential.
- Experience of effective budget setting and implementing controls and processes to manage and monitoring budgets
- Firm understanding of risk management
- Experience of improving policies and processes in comparable organisations
- Success in delivering increased cost effectiveness
- Evidence of building financial impact and performance metrics and reporting
- Understanding of the requirements of legislation, Charity Commission and professional body guidance on a being a well-run and financially accountable Charity
- Considerable experience of management and development of staff
Skills, abilities, and behaviours
- A strategic thinker with the ability to see the bigger picture and make decisions in line with the charity’s needs as part of a team
- Strong change management skills with experience of managing teams through change
