Lead CPRE’s volunteering strategy, champion diversity, and help build a thriving volunteer movement for the countryside by inspiring, supporting and engaging volunteers nationwide.
About You and The Role

This is an exciting opportunity to shape how people from all backgrounds engage with our mission for a thriving, beautiful countryside for everyone.
In this role, you’ll collaborate closely with staff and volunteers across England, coaching and supporting them to create welcoming, inclusive and engaging volunteer experiences. You’ll identify opportunities to strengthen the volunteer journey, from attraction and recruitment to engagement, voice and recognition, ensuring our volunteering culture is accessible, diverse, supportive and inspiring. You’ll also drive the creation of new volunteering roles and programmes, with a particular focus on widening participation among groups currently under‑represented in our movement, including people of colour, disabled people, young people and people from working‑class backgrounds.
You’ll work with colleagues across departments, senior volunteers, and local CPRE groups, as well as external partners such as universities and community groups, and organisations, to build strong pathways into volunteering.
