Have you got experience and a passion for working to support women? We are seeking a new team member to join our small team, in a well-established charity, to support and empower women who experience multiple disadvantages and want to make positive changes to their lives.

We are seeking a Women’s Support Worker to join our Door of Hope team in the East End of London. The role will involve working directly with women who sell sex in Tower Hamlets; supporting them to make goals and support the changes that they wish to make, through information sharing, advocacy, and practical support.  We offer this whilst also providing a non-judgemental, and confidential space to talk and be heard.

Who are we looking for…

• You will have the commitment and creativity to engage women who can often be isolated and have difficulty engaging with other services. 
• You will be able to think and work independently yet also be a supportive colleague to the wider team. 
• You will have frontline experience of working with vulnerable women/adults. This might be within the context of domestic/sexual abuse, substance misuse, mental health, or housing. Or it may be of direct experience of women in the sex industry.  You will thrive on supporting women to become empowered and to make positive change.
• You will possess energy, motivation, and professional resilience. 
• You hold a level of confidence in advocating on behalf of women and to other professionals and services, whilst ever mindful of ways to support and encourage the empowerment of women in the process.

About Beyond the Streets

Beyond the Streets is a UK charity with over 20 years’ experience of partnering with women in the sex industry to see them safe from coercion, violence and abuse. We deliver trauma-informed, person-centered support, provide training for the third sector and statutory professionals, and create resources and reports informed by research, lived experience, and practitioner experience. Our training and partnership work seeks to equip professionals to understand the sex industry, particularly survival sex, and to support them to engage with women selling sex in a trauma-informed way.

Salary: £34,692 per annum (inclusive of £3,990 Southeast Weighting)

Job Purpose:
This role will be based in HMP Bronzefield, leading the development and delivery of specialist domestic abuse/family & significant other support with women impacted by the criminal justice system.

Key Responsibility Areas

1. Lead on developing an effective domestic abuse/family & significant others intervention for women impacted by the criminal justice system
2. Develop effective relationships with key stakeholders to ensure a collaborative approach to addressing women’s needs
3. Provide expert advice and support to colleagues, including Women in Prison’s influencing team
4. Provide effective leadership to direct report/s, ensuring teams are managed and supported.

Job Summary - Senior Research Officer

We are seeking a confident and organised Senior Research Officer to join our small but ambitious Research Team. This is a hands-on role with real scope to contribute to how we fund and manage research, and to make a genuine difference to a programme that's helping to save lives.
 

The Senior Research Officer will lead the delivery of our grant funding processes from end to end - managing application rounds, overseeing the active portfolio, coordinating our scientific committees, supporting our research events and leading our approach to patient and public involvement in research. Working in a small, specialist team means you'll also have real scope to contribute ideas, help improve how we do things, and play a meaningful part in the development of the research programme beyond the day-to-day.

• A senior data leadership role sitting at the heart of the Data & IT function, reporting to the CFO and working in close partnership with the Senior IT Manager — with this role taking lead responsibility for all things data
• Own and lead the charity's data strategy, working collaboratively with senior leadership to shape a forward-looking, insight-driven organisation
• Take full ownership of CRM operations (Raiser's Edge NXT), driving adoption, optimisation and continuous improvement to ensure the charity is truly getting the most from the system — unlocking the data, trends and insight within it
• Hold overall responsibility for the Charity Automation Roadmap, driving systems integration and automation to reduce manual effort and improve data flows across the organisation

Job Sumnmary for Director of Charitable Impact

As the Executive Director of Charitable Impact at Bowel Cancer UK, you will play a pivotal role in driving forward our mission: ensuring that everyone with bowel cancer is diagnosed at the earliest stages, receives the best possible care and that more people survive the disease and thrive beyond their diagnosis.

You will lead the charity’s research programmes, policy and influencing, patient services, healthcare professional education, and health information functions. You will ensure these programmes deliver measurable impact on early diagnosis, equity of access, and better outcomes for people with bowel cancer, particularly focusing on reducing health inequalities and addressing the growing incidence of bowel cancer in people under 50.

Working closely with the Strategy & Insight unit, you will embed robust evaluation and evidence into all our work and lead the development of new patient-facing services and digital innovations – including the use of AI – to expand our reach and improve outcomes.

You will bring strategic vision, sector expertise, and an inclusive, collaborative leadership style, guiding a team of around 40 passionate professionals to maximise Bowel Cancer UK’s charitable impact across the UK.
