What you’ll do

A central role supporting the delivery of a programme of mental health research, coordinating projects, managing operations, and ensuring studies are delivered to a high standard from set-up through to completion.

• Coordinate and manage multiple research projects, ensuring timelines, risks, and deliverables are effectively tracked and met

What you’ll bring

For the Reseach Lab Manager role, you will be an organised and proactive research professional, with strong experience managing complex projects and data, who can confidently coordinate studies, work with a range of stakeholders, and drive high-quality research delivery in a mental health setting.

• Proven experience managing and coordinating large-scale quantitative or mixed-methods research projects

Key details

Hours: Part-time: 14 hours per week (two days). Usual working hours are Monday to Friday, 09:00-17:00. Specific days to be negotiated. Flexible working is possible.

Salary: £46,062 FTE per annum, plus 6% contributory pension scheme

Location: Hybrid (a mixture of home/onsite working): staff are working onsite for at least 20% of their working hours at our London site (4-8 Rodney Street, London N1 9JH). Attendance in-person for meetings, as and when required.

About the Role

This is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled line manager with experience in general welfare advice to join Sufra NW London. In this highly rewarding role, you will oversee the delivery of services that can measurably change lives by providing quality advice and support to those most in need. 

You will manage our team of advice staff and volunteers to deliver high quality advice, information and welfare support to guests on a range of topics including benefits, housing, debt and immigration issues. An additional focus will be on establishing clear pathways for referring guests to external services, and managing volunteers to triage, signpost and refer guests to other forms of welfare support.

The advice team consists of paid staff and support volunteers.  This year will be dedicated to consolidation of the service, ensuring that we are fulfilling our core mission to the highest standards.  We are also hoping to launch our immigration advice service, providing guests with a first point of contact for their immigration needs and smooth referral pathways to specialist advice.  Finally, our OpenARMs programme will be launching workshops for our refugee and asylum-seeker communities. 

You will work closely with the Senior Leadership Team, especially Head of Advice at Sufra to support the implementation of new initiatives, and the expansion of our information and advice services to enhance our efficiency and impact.

The post holder will be a highly articulate and proactive individual with good welfare advice knowledge, 3+ years delivery experience in managing a charity team, strong service management skills, as well as experience managing staff and volunteers. The ideal candidate will have up-to-date knowledge of the welfare system, immigration and safeguarding protocols. They must also have demonstrable experience using a case management system, adhering to advice standards and be able to manage a diverse workload and work under pressure.

Key Responsibilities

Advice Services

• Manage the advice service by overseeing and supporting volunteers and advice staff at our Community Wellbeing Service and Foodbank including setting objectives, managing performance and providing feedback during supervisions.
• Hold a small case load of advice guests, supporting them to achieve their aims
• Maintain a high quality service by ensuring that the advice team and volunteers are working to agreed standards and delivering against realistic grant agreements from funders.
• Use our case management software to report on cases and outcomes to support funding applications and remain compliant with funding needs.

Service Development

• Work with the Senior Leadership Team to develop, expand and improve Sufra’s information and advice services in alignment with our 2030 strategy.
• Carry out ongoing review of existing service delivery procedures.
• Undertake quality assurance including case checking and quality of advice audit.
• Identify the training needs of advice staff and volunteers through support, mentoring and supervisions.
• Ensure colleagues and relevant stakeholders are informed of changing legislation and social policy updates.
• Improve the case management systems to ensure it is fit for purpose.
• Work within the Advice Quality Standard (AQS) framework, ensuring that all policies and procedures are up to date for future assessments

Volunteer Management

• Develop, review and implement key policies and procedures to better equip Advice Volunteers to fulfil their role.
• Provide induction, support and supervision to enhance the quality standard of the service and contribute to the personal development of volunteers.
• Foster a positive working environment that maintains high morale and supports Advice Volunteer retention and regular participation.

Budgets, Monitoring & Evaluation

• Support the Senior Leadership Team in setting service budgets, updating policies, and monitoring spending in line with reporting and budgetary requirements.
• Ensure appropriate systems are maintained for recording statistics and outcomes.
• Provide regular and timely monitoring reports on service outputs, outcomes and expenditure.
• Collect regular feedback and conduct surveys from relevant stakeholders to inform ongoing improvements to the Advice Service.

About the Role

The governance and policy manager is a senior strategic and operational role responsible for leading, coordinating, and strengthening all governance-related functions across World Physiotherapy. Reporting directly to the CEO, the role ensures the organisation consistently meets the highest standards of governance, compliance, transparency, and accountability, in line with its global mission and constitutional framework.

The postholder serves as a key advisor to the CEO, board, and leadership structures, ensuring governance systems are robust, efficient, and appropriate for an international membership organisation. Education and qualifications

We are looking for an Operations Manager who is prayerful, strategic and passionate about practically supporting the mission of the local church. The Operations Manager plays a key role as a senior member of the Inspire St James team. The short breaks service offers crisis and planned stays to adults with learning disabilities in Kensington. The Team Leaders manage our short breaks service ensuring safe, person-centred, and high-quality support for adults with learning disabilities. 

About the role:

The Team Leader is responsible for offering a creative and flexible response to ever changing complex demands which include meeting guest’s needs within the environment. We require experienced Team Leaders to help run the short breaks service.

The Team Leader acts as the “person in charge” for the service during their shift — coordinating staff deployment, managing admissions and discharges, ensuring accurate recording and communication, and promoting a positive and enabling environment for guests and staff. 

We require x4 Team leaders and each team leader will work a 5-day week (37.5 hours per week) with a mixture of days, evenings, nights and weekends on a rota basis.  Weekends will rotate approximately working 1 to 2 weekends per month.  Team Leaders will work 1 week of nights shifts approximately every 6 weeks. The people we support require team members that can work flexibly as they will need support through the day and the night.

Team Leader supports the Registered Service Manager to ensure that your team deliver on quality improvement, and safeguarding, managing the budget of the service and the personal finances of people you support. You lead the management of Health and Safety in the service.  The role requires you to create a harmonious, open, and positive working environment, where people are confident to speak up. 

The role requires you to work with people who need assistance with every aspect of daily living, supporting complex health conditions, assisting people with sensory loss and communication challenges as well as with people who are significantly more independent but vulnerable to coercion and control and who may reject support. Brief role description

​

The Programme Manager plays a pivotal leadership role in delivering the Forces Employment Charity’s Ex-Forces Employment Charity Programme. This programme provides regionally-based, comprehensive employment support to all who have served in HM Armed Forces, ensuring personal and locally informed guidance for veterans seeking employment or career change.

Working closely with the Director of Veterans and Families Employment, the Programme Manager drives operational excellence, strengthens service consistency across the UK, and represents the charity’s employment offer in the devolved nations. They ensure that our national network of Advisors is supported, empowered, and aligned to strategic goals, enabling the very best outcomes for the veteran community.

It’s essential that they have experience managing multi-site or national teams, alongside a strong understanding of employment support or careers guidance. They will be confident working with a range of stakeholders, able to use data to inform decisions, and an excellent communicator. Strong IT skills and a genuine commitment to supporting the Armed Forces community are also key.

Ideally, they will bring experience from the veterans or employability sector, along with some understanding of devolved nation policy or frameworks such as safeguarding or vocational training.

As Counselling Service Manager, you will co-lead a high-quality counselling and psychotherapy service rooted in our communities and guided by our values: Inclusive, Responsive, Evolving and Together. You will help ensure our offer is accessible and welcoming to our diverse communities, and responsive to each person’s unique needs, histories and aspirations. You will provide co-leadership and day-to-day operational oversight over the counselling service, including clinical supervision for paid staff and volunteers.

Working alongside the Clinical Lead, you will uphold robust clinical governance, safeguarding and risk management, ensuring consistent ethical practice and high professional standards. You will lead the design and implementation of systems that support safe, effective and efficient service delivery, and use data to evidence impact and support reporting to commissioners and funders.

Where appropriate, you will hold a clinical caseload and deliver counselling or psychotherapy for clients with complex needs and multiple disadvantage, drawing on evidence-informed and trauma-informed approaches. You will model reflective practice, cultural humility and a strong client focus.

Additionally, you will be able to think strategically to develop new and existing services that meet the needs of service users. With a strong outcomes-focused and data-driven approach, you will lead on the design, implementation and delivery of systems that support the effective operation of services. You will have strong interpersonal skills that will allow you to build good working relationships with clients, volunteer and paid staff members and stakeholders.

About the Role 

As Finance Manager you will take responsibility for the day to day running of a small Finance Team and this includes management of team members and oversight of regular management reporting and financial accounting. You will take the lead on the annual external audit process, and work on the annual budget preparation and budget revisions/forecasts. You will help drive forward financial business partnering within the organisation, ensuring the wider management team have the tools and information needed to effectively manage their budgets. This is a key role within the organisation, requiring strong technical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate effectively with both finance and non-finance stakeholders. 

About You 

We are looking for someone who has: 

• A relevant accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CIPFA or equivalent) – or significant relevant experience 

• Demonstrable experience in management accounting, budgeting, and statutory accounts preparation

• Strong analytical and numerical skills

• Good communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders such as local authorities

• Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Excel (e.g. VLOOKUPs, pivot tables, SUMIF)

• Line management experience of a small team (training can be provided)

Main Duties

 Buildings and Facilities Management

• Manage the day-to-day operation of the Passage’s buildings ensuring they are safe, secure, accessible and fit for the services provided to our clients. 
• Oversee the Facilities Management team to ensure the fabric and systems of all the charity’s buildings are maintained in line with statutory and regulatory standards. 
• Work with the Facilities Management team to (i) oversee planned preventative maintenance and improvements to all of The Passage’s sites (ii) oversee and support the team to provide a quick, reliable response to maintenance and repair requests. 

Health and Safety 

• Act as the lead and Responsible Person for Health & Safety (H&S) across the organisation including risk assessments, accurate and timely recording of health and safety issues, carrying out audits and investigations as necessary.
• Respond to any reported H&S risks, prioritising any reported risks with a significant potential for harm. 
• Ensure The Passage is compliant with all relevant H&S statutory, regulatory and legislative requirements, including but not limited to: Fire safety; Gas, Electrical and Water safety; Asbestos management; RSH regulations.

Relationship Management (Contractors and Suppliers) 

•  Ensure relationships with key services suppliers are well managed by the Facilities Management team. Work with the team to monitor the quality and timing of external contractors’ work and to address any shortcomings promptly. 
• Ensure that all contracts for ongoing work and for one-off pieces of work are awarded in full accordance with The Passage’s procurement policy, ensuring best value for money and high-quality delivery. Together with the Facilities Management team, ensure contractors conduct themselves professionally and respectfully whilst attending any of the Passage’s locations and to ensure they follow our safeguarding policy at all times.

Teamwork and Line Management 

• Line manage the Facilities Management Co-ordinator with an emphasis on supportive communication, skills development and progress towards personal objectives, including his line management of other members of the team.
• Develop positive relationships with all other teams at The Passage’s multiple sites and promote practices to reduce the need for repairs and replacements. 

Financial 

• Develop and manage the Facilities Management budget, including capital spend, monitoring spending against budget and explaining variances. 
• Support business planning through accurate forecasting and long-term planning of major financial spending.
• Ensure value for money and effective financial control across all areas of responsibility. 

General Responsibilities 

• Working with your Line Manager, develop your role to keep pace with The Passage’s plans and ambitions; participate in regular supervision and annual appraisal and to lead in identifying your own development and training needs. 
• Represent The Passage in a professional manner at all times, carrying out your role to a high standard, and to always work in accordance with the aims, values and ethos of The Passage.
• Make sure The Passage’s policies are followed within Buildings & Facilities Management, particularly those for Safeguarding, Health and Safety, Data Protection and Equality and Diversity. 
• To participate in meetings, training and other events as required. 
• Undertake any other duties that may be required which are commensurate with the role. 

Desired Experience

• E1 Proven experience in leading a Buildings and Facilities Management function, including effective management of external contractors. 
• E2 Experience of developing and getting the best from a small team.  
• E3 Experience of effectively managing budgets.  
• E4 Experience of playing leading role in major projects as well as day to day operations.

Desired Knowledge

• K1 Strong understanding of Health and Safety and other legislative and regulatory requirements, ideally gained in an environment providing residential accommodation.

About the role

We are currently seeking to appoint a Safeguarding Manager who will be responsible for overseeing the day to day operational safeguarding functions for our charity. You will manage a team of Safeguarding Officers to ensure that an effective and robust safeguarding service is provided.  The post holder will provide professional advice and support on safeguarding matters to staff and volunteers, as well as liaising and meeting with external bodies, and occasionally delivering training.

You will have experience of the voluntary youth or community sector as a direct practitioner, and knowledge of Early Help and statutory guidance relating to safeguarding children and adults at risk. You will also have experience of managing a team where safeguarding is the main focus area of your work. 

Our safeguarding team operates centrally in London where we are responsible for providing support, advice and guidance to our volunteers relating on all safeguarding matters across the UK. Our Safeguarding Officers act as our lead professionals in managing safeguarding casework in line with our policy, procedures, national guidance and in line with our statutory duty.

Whilst this is a Monday- Friday full time position, a flexible approach to work and working patterns is a must, as is the ability to work effectively and respond appropriately in challenging circumstances.
