This will include experience of a wide range of methods/techniques to reach out and engage with isolated individuals/communities and assessing family needs. Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, along with the ability to empathise with parents and carers are required. A non-judgmental approach is essential. Reporting to the Board of Trustees, you will provide strategic and operational leadership across the organisation, leading the delivery of the charity's future strategy while ensuring excellence in day-to-day operations. You will work closely with families, clinicians, researchers, industry partners, funders and policymakers, acting as a visible and credible ambassador for the charity across the sector.
This opportunity is ideally suited to a senior leader from a national charity or patient advocacy organisation who has successfully led organisational growth and transformation. You will bring experience of scaling services, income and organisational capacity, while retaining a strong understanding of hands-on leadership within a growing charity.
We are looking for a confident and influential leader with the presence and credibility to inspire supporters, stakeholders and partners, whether speaking at conferences, fundraising events or representing the charity nationally. Experience within a rare disease, neurological condition, disability, health or patient advocacy organisation would be highly advantageous, with direct rare disease experience particularly welcomed.

Redemption Roasters is a social business on a mission to reduce reoffending through coffee. To achieve this, they deliver barista training both in-custody and in the community, with direct routes into employment in their 12 London coffee shops and roastery. Programme participants are then matched with a caseworker to support their transition from the training room into work. To date they have directly hired over 100 participants and their current known reoffending rate for employed participants is 0%. Redemption Roasters is currently seeking a Head of Impact to lead their work to reduce reoffending. The role is responsible for the company’s social mission, identifying effective and financially sustainable ways to deepen their impact through both their social enterprise and the Redemption Roasters Foundation. The Head of Impact will oversee training and employment support for programme participants in custody and in the community, whilst shaping the strategy for the Impact Department, ensuring programmes are well-run, measurable and financially disciplined. A key part of the role is strong financial leadership - managing budgets, securing funding, and ensuring the long-term sustainability of Redemption's impact work. The role would suit an experienced third sector leader with a strong track record in programme delivery and fundraising, and a passion for enabling people to succeed.

This is an exciting opportunity to join Refuge as a Helpline Advocacy Co-ordinator.
The Helpline Advocacy Co-ordinator – London (HAC) provides short-term, targeted advocacy to victim/survivors of domestic abuse based in London, who present with complex or additional barriers to accessing safe accommodation and support services.
The role builds on initial helpline contact to deliver enhanced, focused support, including proactive follow-up and advocacy with statutory and voluntary agencies to secure safe outcomes. This includes working closely with housing departments across London boroughs, refuge providers, and specialist services to overcome barriers and facilitate access to accommodation and support.
