This is a new role within the Diocese of London, supporting the Head of Racial Justice Priority in delivering the Diocese’s Racial Justice strategy. As part of the wider racial justice team, you will contribute to a range of activities including training, audits, data collection, engagement and governance processes.

Job Summary

As Director of External Affairs across the Bild Group of four small charities (with collective turnover of approx. £3m/yr), you will have a deep commitment to human rights and improving people’s lives.
You will provide strategic direction and leadership to the External Relations function across all four charities in the group, taking overall responsibility for and providing thought-leadership on our strategic approach to policy, influencing, public affairs, stakeholder engagement.
You will play a lead role in planning, developing, and implementing the communication and external relations and wider engagement strategic plan to grow awareness and profile of Bild, Respond, Restraint Reduction Network (RRN) and ACT.
By sharing the impact of our work and programmes in improving the lives of people with learning disabilities, autism and /or mental health conditions, you will support Bild in becoming the sector leading provider of organisational and workforce development (and RRN in becoming the leading charity in reducing restrictive practices globally – and Respond as leaders in trauma informed therapy).

Strategic Leadership:

Are you passionate about turning supporter generosity into sustained income that helps people with a learning disability live their lives to the full? Do you have experience running multi-channel fundraising campaigns and using data to improve performance? If so, we have a role for you to impact our growing Individual Giving programme.
We are looking for a Senior Individual Giving Officer to join our Public Fundraising team at Mencap. You will lead the planning and delivery of acquisition and retention campaigns across cash, lottery, regular giving, value exchange, raffle and payroll giving channels, working across face to face, direct mail, email, digital and telephone. You will work closely with colleagues in Legacy, Wills and Trusts, Community Fundraising and Challenge Events to deliver joined up supporter journeys that increase lifetime value and broaden our audience reach. Reporting to the Senior Individual Giving Manager, you will play a key part in delivering our Mencap 2030 strategy.
This is a permanent, full‑time position. We offer flexible and hybrid working arrangements, with a requirement to attend our London office for a minimum of two days per week. Occasional travel within the UK may also be required.
What you will do
· Lead the end-to-end planning and execution of direct marketing campaigns, including campaign schedules, briefs, copywriting, data checks, print and postage processing, finance processing and stakeholder management.

Can you help support new dads when it really matters?
We’re looking for a Dad Matters Coordinator to help us reach more families across Brent. This is a brilliant opportunity for someone who understands the emotional ups and downs of becoming a dad and wants to support fathers at a crucial point in their parenting journey.
New dads can face real mental health challenges — often quietly. In this role, you’ll help dads feel listened to, supported and confident, strengthening attachment and helping them access the right support.
What you’ll be doing
Offering coaching and advice to new dads and dads-to-be
Having honest conversations about mental health, bonding and wellbeing
Getting out into the community, approaching dads and building trust
Developing and running group sessions and workshops
Working closely with health professionals and local services so dads are included and supported
Helping grow and support our Dad Matters volunteers
This is a hands-on, community-based role, so you’ll need to be regularly out and about in Brent, building visibility and relationships.
About you
You don’t need formal qualifications in healthcare or mental health. What matters is that you:
Understand the mental health challenges new dads can face
Are confident talking to people and putting them at ease
Have experience in a community, support or people-facing role
Can lead groups, deliver sessions or training

If so, Sue Ryder has a fantastic opportunity to be our new Supporter Engagement Individual Giving Officer, helping to deliver the acquisition programme across Individual Giving, Regular Giving and Lottery at Sue Ryder.
Reporting to the Supporter Engagement Individual Giving Manager you will work as part of the Supporter Engagement Individual Giving Team, recruiting new donors and maximising income across a variety of direct marketing campaigns and activities, supporting on a variety of projects across Individual Giving; including Face to Face, direct mail, email, digital, and telephone campaigns, including work on the national fundraising Lottery.
The successful candidate will be expected to attend our Euston office once a week, although there is some flexibility around this for the right candidate.
Key Responsibilities:
• Planning and delivery of multi-channel direct, telemarketing and digital marketing campaigns; to include briefing in new products, managing timings, campaign budgets, collating feedback and approval from key stakeholders, liaising with suppliers and ensuring materials are compliant and on-brand
• Work with the Supporter Engagement Individual Giving Manager to forecast income and expenditure for campaigns and ensure spend remains within budget.
• Manage all aspects of effective and inspiring welcome Journeys. Reviewing data, cancellations and implementing communications to reduce attrition accordingly
• Responsible for Individual Giving campaigns, including delivery of fundraiser training, campaign briefing, day to day agency management and overseeing compliance
Desirable Criteria
• Experience of supporter recruitment
• Experience of either lottery or regular giving fundraising
• Experience of managing external agency relationships
Minimum Essential Criteria
• Experience of Individual Giving fundraising or transferable experience
• Experience of working with databases (Raisers Edge experience preferable)
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office packages with advanced Excel experience
• Interpersonal skills – experience of working within a team (ideally across multiple teams), customer service
• Experience of working with third party suppliers and managing relationships
• Experience of developing compelling marketing materials and copy for print, web and social media
• Strong ability to think innovatively to improve supporter experience and make processes more efficient
• Able to manage deadlines and prioritise workload
