We are excited to have four new vacancies for Safeguarding Officers to join our brilliant team here at RBL.

These four newly created roles will be a core part of our recently expanded Safeguarding team who are vital to the work that we do by enabling a robust culture of safeguarding across RBL. This team supports all RBL staff, volunteers and members to recognise and raise all safeguarding concerns to protect our beneficiaries and residents and protect the reputation of the RBL group.

These roles will sit at the heart of this team and are an excellent opportunity for someone with a keen interest to use previous experience in this field to continue their career in Safeguarding within an established and successful team, who will in turn provide you with the chance to gain practical experience and support you to undertake further professional qualifications.

Reporting to one of our Safeguarding Managers, key responsibilities will include:

· Supporting frontline staff to recognise and report safeguarding incidents to the safeguarding team

· Receiving safeguarding concerns and coordinating immediate and considered responses in line with required Key Performance Indicators

· Completing referrals to external statutory agencies, liaising with them to ensure coordinated actions and record all actions on RBL systems

· Establishing and maintaining relationships internally with frontline beneficiary facing staff (volunteers, members and public facing members of staff and volunteers) and externally with statutory agencies (eg. Local Authorities, NHS, Police)

· Providing advice and guidance encouraging continued learning, sharing of good practice and embedding a culture of safeguarding across RBL

You will have demonstrable experience in the field of Safeguarding Adults and Children, with knowledge of safeguarding policies, procedures, codes of practice, legislation and governance. This post is office based working evenings and 3 weekend evenings on a four week rolling Rota (One full weekend, a Saturday or Sunday evening and two weekends off). Our office space is wheelchair accessible.

Our service staff will offer low level calming interventions and one to one support to identify the cause of the emotional distress and to put in place a plan including signposting and referring on to other organisations and services.

We are looking for someone with knowledge and understanding of Mental Health conditions and their impact on daily living and a strong track-record of working with individuals and their families to deliver positive outcomes. You will provide leadership to a small team of Support, Time and Recovery workers and demonstrate a commitment to a one team approach. You will have demonstrable experience of supporting staff or volunteers in their role and aptitude for managing professional relationships.

Main Responsibilities:

1. To provide leadership, guidance, supervision and appraisal to a small team of STR workers and to work with the Service Manager and HR on any absence, conduct or performance issues as they arise.

2. To be committed to providing an integrated one team approach to people who use our service and to work as part of a team to provide support to people using the Listening Lounge

3. To support STR workers to develop good practice in service delivery, recording and risk management skills and to implement Quality Assurance activities to monitor practice.

4. To manage risk and safeguarding effectively, offering support and advice to staff and monitoring high risk cases, ensuring that escalation processes are appropriately and consistently applied, and updating the Service Manager and external agencies as required.

5. To support workers in delivering targeted work with individuals to plan their support and achieve the goals and outcomes that are important to them, and to work with the wider Listening Lounge team to support the development and implementation of an action plan to support the individual.

6. To actively promote the use of outcome tools and analyse relevant data to support the Service Manager in delivering on KPI’s as required. To produce outcomes focused reports which evidence achievement and to adhere to timeframes at all the times.

7. To be responsible for the Health and Safety of STR workers on a day-to-day basis, including ensuring local policies and procedures are adhered to.

8. To develop and maintain networks with other organisations and agencies in order to strengthen safe working practices for service users, in line with organisational and local policies and processes

9. To maintain accurate case records and up-to-date case files using the agreed case management and recording system (currently INFORM). To ensure information handling is compliant with GDPR law and FA policies and procedures.

10. To attend and when required to chair team meetings.

11.  To make a commitment to regular supervision, including the ability to be responsive to critical challenge, advice, feedback and direction.

12. To have an understanding and to comply with, Family Action’s procedures for promoting and safeguarding the welfare of children and vulnerable adults.

13. To deputise for the Service Manager as and when required.

Role Overview

The Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing and delivering the day-to-day operations of the Schools Consent Project across England and Wales. In particular, this involves booking and coordinating the delivery of workshops across all educational settings; acting as the first point of contact for legal queries, feedback and safeguarding issues from volunteers and service users; and fostering strong relationships with our schools and partner firms.

Essential

• Proven experience in operations management, project management, or programme delivery.
• Excellent organisational and communication skills.
• High level of IT literacy, including confidence with digital systems and remote working tools.
• Familiarity with MS365 and Salesforce as our main operations platforms.
• Experience with Xero and basic financial administration.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a remote and distributed team.
• High standards of professionalism, integrity, and confidentiality.
• Strong personal commitment to gender equality, youth empowerment, and reducing sexual violence.

About the role: 

Porchlight’s Housing Management Team provide a property management service for supported accommodation across Kent, housing people at risk of homelessness. The project Manager will be leading and developing a team of Housing Management Assistants, to ensure an effective and efficient service is delivered.

The role will include but is not limited to ensuring all Porchlight’s owned and managed accommodation is compliant with Legislation and relevant standards, voids are kept to a minimum, risk is managed appropriately, new builds are ready for occupation, tenancy related issues are resolved.

Housing Management is a fast-paced environment requiring the ability to prioritise and meet deadlines. The candidate will need to ensure that working practice meets policy and procedural requirements especially in regard to, safeguarding, health and safety and equality and diversity.

Safeguarding Case Officer (Interim) x 3 – Immediate Start
Remote | 4-week contract | £15–£17.50 per hour | Approx. 35 hrs/week

I am excited to be supporting an amazing international youth organisation seeking three experienced Safeguarding Case Officers to provide short-term support during a busy global programme period.

Help tackle loneliness among older people in care homes

Thousands of older people living in care homes receive few or no visitors. Friends for Life Bedford exists to change that.

Through our befriending and group activities, we bring companionship, connection and meaningful relationships to care home residents across Bedfordshire.

We are now looking for a Volunteer Co-ordinator to help more recruit, train and support the volunteers who make our work possible.

About Friends for Life Bedfordshire

We are a Bedford-based charity working to address the social isolation of older residents in Bedfordshire’s care homes.

Founded in 2007, we have grown from a small local initiative to a registered charity with c90 volunteers supporting more than 30 care homes across Bedford Borough. In the last year, over 1,100 care home residents received our services.

The Role

You will play a key operational role in ensuring our volunteer-led services run smoothly, safely and effectively.

Working closely with the Volunteer Lead, you will help recruit, train, support and retain volunteers, ensuring they feel confident, valued and equipped to deliver both befriending and activity-based services.

In addition, you will co-ordinate and manage our programme of group activities, working with care homes and activity volunteers to make sure residents experience high‑quality, meaningful sessions every week.

This is an ideal role for someone who is organised, people-focused and motivated by social impact.

Key Responsibilities

Volunteer Recruitment, Induction & Training

• Act as the first point of contact for volunteer enquiries
• Meet prospective volunteers to explain the charity’s work and assess suitability
• Deliver volunteer induction training at “Welcome Day” sessions
• Support refresher and additional training needs and maintain up‑to‑date volunteer resources

Volunteer Support & Retention

• Provide day‑to‑day support to volunteers, responding to queries and safeguarding concerns
• Help organise volunteer social events to build community and connection
• Support follow-up actions from volunteer meetings
• Conduct exit interviews for volunteers leaving the service

Group Activity Programme Co‑ordination

• Build and maintain a diverse pool of activity volunteers, from musicians to hobby practitioners
• Liaise with care homes to match activity volunteers to resident needs
• Schedule group activities and accompany volunteers on first visits
• Check in with new volunteers after one month and regularly with longer-standing volunteers

• Track activity participation and outcomes, gathering feedback from residents, volunteers and care home staff
• Capture stories and case studies (with consent) to showcase the impact

About You

We are looking for someone who is compassionate, organised and great with people. You will likely bring:

• Strong interpersonal and relationship‑building skills
• Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities
• Confidence working independently within a small, supportive team
• Experience working with volunteers (ideally in a charity, health or social care setting)
• An understanding of safeguarding and professional boundaries
• Good IT skills and a commitment to accurate record‑keeping

YMCA St Helens is looking for an experienced and motivated Volunteer Manager to lead the development of our volunteering programme across housing, youth, early years and community services.

You will recruit, train and support volunteers, ensuring they feel valued, confident and equipped to make a meaningful impact. Working closely with colleagues and partners, you will create diverse volunteer opportunities, strengthen community relationships and develop our corporate volunteering offer.

Principle purposes of the job:

To deliver group support services including:

· provision of child focussed play/educational activities to support development

· parental guidance to support child development

· supervision of Play Leader and support for Volunteers

· to work alongside the scheme Manager in the planning and delivery of group support

Main responsibilities:

· To work within Home-Start’s standards and methods of practice including Equal Opportunities, Safeguarding and Promoting the Welfare of Children, Confidentiality and all mandatory policies.

· Work in close co-operation with the Play worker, Volunteers and other scheme staff as directed by the scheme Manager.

· Work in partnership with other family support agencies, as appropriate

· To make initial contact with families to assess their needs

· Review family’s needs on a regular basis and at the end of support.

· To maintain contact with individual referrers during a family’s support

· To welcome all parents/carers to the Family Group, recognising the importance of their role as the prime educators of their children

· To be aware of group dynamics ensuring the groups provide a non-judgemental environment for children and their parent/carer

· To provide a safe, stimulating environment for children and their parents

· To be vigilant about the upkeep of equipment ensuring good standards of safety and hygiene are followed.

· To closely work alongside the Play Worker planning activities for the children

· To make observations, record and report on children’s development

· To encourage the active participation of parents/carers in their child’s play and other activities as appropriate

· To provide opportunities for external agencies to offer advice/information to families

· To promote the use of suitable toys, books and activities and encourage the use of local resources e.g. Toy Library, Library and Children & Family Centres

· To complete a Risk Assessment prior to each session/outing

· To keep a register at each session detailing names of all those attending, including visitors/speakers with an evaluation of each speaker

· To record any accidents/incidents in the Accident or Incident Book and report as appropriate

· To respond, record and report appropriately all Safeguarding Children/Child Protection issues

· To liaise with the Manager regarding budgets

· To promote the work of Home-Start with referrers

· To be willing to undertake training as appropriate, including safeguarding/child protection.

· To attend regular supervision sessions

· To regularly attend staff Meetings
