Reporting to the Creative Manager, The Artworker plays a vital role in delivering high-quality brand assets as well as online and offline campaigns that raise awareness of the Yorkshire Cancer Research brand, supporter acquisition and engagement.
This creative role focuses on applying the charity’s visual brand guidelines to a range of creative applications, having a keen eye for detail and a passion for crafting channel-ready visuals.Duties include:
•Developing artwork for a range of applications including, for example, brochures, reports, social media graphics, digital assets, event materials, posters etc.
• Working with and applying the charity’s brand guidelines to create on-brand artwork, gaining and documenting relevant approvals, producing final artwork and supplying this to colleagues / external suppliers as required to meet campaign deadlines.
• Collaborating with the Creative Manager / Graphic Designer to schedule and manage artwork priorities, ensuring assets are delivered on time and in line with marketing brief requirements.
To be successful in this role you will need expert knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud, especially InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, and Acrobat.You will also need strong understanding of print production, including colour management, spot colours, diecuts , finishes, and pre press requirements.
Digital artwork skills are also needed for this role, such as preparing assets for web, social, and email as well as exceptional attention to detail. For further details please refer to the role profile.

Description
You will provide strong and steady leadership for SafeLives’ communications, marketing and public affairs work over the next year, communicating our Whole Picture Strategy, finding what works and helping it happen to end domestic abuse for everyone for good.
You will shape and deliver strategic communications and influencing work to reach decision-makers, strengthen public trust, and support our mission to drive real change in the UK’s domestic abuse response.
You will be able bring to together robust data, the voice of survivors, and the view of practice experts to position SafeLives at the centre of the conversation with professionals, key policy and decision makers and influencers as a credible and trusted voice.
You’ll lead a cross-functional team of comms, marketing and public affairs colleagues to:
You will connect reactive work with long-term strategic priorities, ensuring our external engagement supports our strategic priorities, policy goals, and income generation ambitions. And you will lead high-quality responses to breaking news and emerging issues, providing clear strategic advice to the Senior Leadership Team and acting as a trusted lead on reputational risk.
You will ensure SafeLives is visible, authoritative and survivor-centred in public and policy conversations, with timely responses, briefings and support, ensuring our communications and influencing are clear, consistent and drive impact.
You will work with our training, practice, and fundraising teams to drive our business development and income generation, as well as helping us to understand all our audiences and better meet their needs.

About the Role
This is an exciting leadership opportunity to shape and lead the Foundation’s national public affairs and influencing work during a period of maternity cover, maintaining momentum and driving meaningful change in policy and practice.
As Head of Public Affairs, you will set direction for influencing activity across England and Wales, ensuring it is aligned to organisational priorities and continues to deliver impact. You will lead engagement with senior policymakers and political processes, acting as a credible and visible representative of the Foundation.
Working closely with colleagues, you will ensure that influencing activity remains informed by local insight and translated into clear national priorities. You will also contribute to organisational leadership, supporting strategic direction while leading a high-performing public affairs team through this period.
About You
We’re looking for an experienced and credible leader with a strong background in public affairs, policy, or influencing. You will bring a track record of delivering impact at national or regional level, alongside a strong understanding of the UK political landscape.
You will combine strategic thinking with practical delivery, with excellent relationship-building skills and experience of engaging senior stakeholders. An exciting opportunity has arisen for an individual to join our newly established Student Communities Team based in Sunderland. The team supports a wide range of student leadership activity, including officer support, societies, student representation, volunteering, and campaigns.
The successful candidate will be responsible for working with a wide range of student leaders to mobilise the community organising model for a particular faculty within the University of Sunderland, harnessing their talents and enhancing student skills development.

We have undertaken a Democracy and Governance Review to revitalise the way our students interact with their Students’ Union across both the Sunderland and London campuses. The Programme Coordinator plays a central role in ensuring the smooth running of the Trust's programme partnerships, training delivery, and organisational systems. Reporting to the Head of Programmes and working closely with other senior staff, the post holder will provide coordination, research, communications and administrative support across programmes, training and operations.
