Job Title: Night Engagement Worker 

Location: This role is based in Redbridge. The service is a short walk from Gants Hill Underground Station. The area is also served by multiple bus routes, including 114, 121, 128, 150, and 272, offering direct local and regional connections for staff commuting to the service. Unfortunately, this service does not have step free access.

Salary: £28,800

Shift Pattern: 37.5 hours per week Monday to Sunday 20:30 - 08:30. You may also be required to work outside these hours as per service and resident requirements, which includes weekends and bank holidays which form part of your rota

About the Role

We’re looking for a Night Engagement Worker to join the team in Redbridge. You will support within the Offender Personality Disorder Housing Accommodation to support in successfully rehabilitating and reintegrating our residents and participants back into the community. The service delivers support for people in the criminal justice system who are deemed high risk, and likely to meet criteria for personality disorder. Penrose OPD HASS service offers specialist accommodation to people with high risk/high needs and require intensive support to overcome barriers to resettlement and progress towards independent living in the community.

You will assist with those who have recently been released from prison, secure health settings, or are transitioning from Approved Premises. Your role will involve supporting all aspects of key engagement activities, aiding their rehabilitation, reablement, and reintegration into society by providing pathways, support, and appropriate interventions, that will enable successful resettlements and work with internal and external partners and agencies to achieve desired outcomes. 

Key Responsibilities include:

• Support residents who may be facing challenges with substance misuse, helping them take positive steps forward.
• Creating one to one person centred support plans to support residents in achieving their goals.
• Ensuring the safety and wellbeing of residents at all times during the shift, including regular check ins and carrying our protocols.
• Planning activities to engage residents with other people, communities, and opportunities during the evening which may include movie nights and games nights.
• Lone working is part of the role, but you’ll always have a supportive team around.
• Be a valued and reliable member of the team, completing handovers for day colleagues for a seamless service.

About You

We're looking for someone who shares our passion for supporting people who may be deemed as having a personality disorder and have been referred to us by the criminal justice service. Our residents are at the forefront of our service delivery, so building trusting and professional relationships is key. You’ll be adaptable, proactive, and confident using your initiative to resolve challenges, and keep the night service running smoothly. Teamwork is essential and having previous knowledge of the needs our residents may have. Each support plan is tailored to the individual, so you'll help deliver care that truly meets their needs.

• Understanding of Personality Disorder and the Criminal Justice System
• Experience in working with people of different backgrounds which may be complex.
• Ability to engage with people from different backgrounds, build rapport, and empower them to achieve their personal goals
• Comfortable working with people who have different types of histories of behaviours which have led to in-prison sentencing.
• Awareness of external opportunities which are available such as with education, employment and benefits
• Organised and proactive in managing tasks like welfare checks, safeguarding, and accurate record keeping
• Confidence in identifying when someone may be struggling with their mental or physical health, substance use, or other challenges, and knowing how to respond
• IT Proficiency, ability to learn new software programs, basic Microsoft experience
• Cultural awareness, Self-awareness, and ability to identify personal growth areas and take feedback
• Ability and willingness to show flexibility of working patterns, responding to the needs of the service and residents
• Ability to motivate and empower others to reach personal goals and overcome barriers to independence

Payroll and Pensions Officer

Job Title: Payroll and Pensions Officer

Location: Islington based in our Central Office. You will be required to work Mondays in the office, plus an additional day within a service, with home working possible through the rest of the week. Salary: £30,000 annual

Shift Pattern: Fixed term contract until January 2027, 37.5 hours per week Monday to Friday 09:00 - 17:00. You may be required to work outside these hours due to tight payroll run deadlines, time in lieu will be provided in these cases.

About the Role

We're hiring an experienced payroll and pensions officer. You will join a small Payroll team, reporting to the Payroll and Pensions Manager. You will ensure efficient and accurate payroll operations, ensuring staff are paid correctly, on time. You will support in the preparation and processing of monthly payroll, coordinating effective and efficient end-to-end payroll and pensions administration, plus any relevant activity. The People and Culture team overall are a supportive and friendly team, who all have individual personalities and characteristics which bring us together to have a positive working environment as a team. 

Key Responsibilities Include:

• Take ownership of administrative tasks in the payroll and pensions process
• Be a point of contact for enquiries regarding payroll and pensions, to proactively resolve, signpost or seek support on any issues that arise
• Utilise database and HRIS to support payroll and pensions processes and auditing
• Support relevant colleagues to ensure the correct payments, reports, and returns are made to HMRC, pension providers, and other statutory bodies
• Work collaboratively with the wider organisation to ensure consistency of information and processes

About You

We're looking for someone who is methodical, intuitive, and detail-oriented, who is able to tae ownership of your projects and workflows. You will hold some payroll and pensions experience and be ready to hit the ground running, able to use your own initiative to resolve challenges, and support with the running of cycles. You will be comfortable working in a fast paced environment, and will thrive in such circumstances. We're looking for someone who can build good professional relationships with others, and is happy to support the wider team and organisation.

• Experience within a similar role capacity required

We support our residents in developing coping strategies and building supportive relationships, with a commitment to professionalism, teamwork, and customer service. 

You will support with tenancy matters proactively, providing responsive support and fostering a positive environment where residents feel secure and valued. You will do this through a combination of producing tailored support plans, activities, and partnership working. You will support us continue to work in a trauma informed way, and create a psychologically informed environment, which supports us in creating a safe, respectful, and responsive environment which puts our people and communities at the forefront. Join us on our mission to empower independence through trauma-informed solutions and dynamic partnerships that keep people out of prison, out of hospital, and off the streets.

Key Responsibilities Include:

• Build and maintain positive therapeutic relationships with residents, offering both practical assistance and emotional support.

In this role, as a Support Mentor, you will work within a 24 hour service which provided person centred support to our residents, working to ensure the safety and wellbeing. Our residents have experienced multiple forms of exclusion, such as historical/ongoing abuse, involvement in the criminal justice system, mental health challenges, drug and/or alcohol dependency and enduring high levels of violence and coercion. You will build trusting professional relationships with residents, helping them to achieve their goals and aspirations which could be through tailored one to one sessions, group sessions, in and out of service activities, and general wellbeing check ins. Your role will focus on empowering our residents to take control over their lives and meet their personal goals

 Responsibilities include:

• Holding a caseload, conducting key work sessions which are personable to resident needs
• Carry out regular welfare checks, safeguarding checks, and general living checks
• Encourage residents to take part in activities and events both within the service and the community
• Keep support plans up to date on a regular basis

About the Role

We're hiring a Programmes Coordinator & Facilitator to join our Safe Ground team based in HMP Altcourse. The role involves delivering arts based interventions aimed at supporting participants in their personal development, family relationships, and rehabilitation.

In this role, you’ll help set up, deliver  and review arts‑based, therapeutically informed programmes that support men in custody with personal development, family relationships and rehabilitation. You’ll work directly with programme participants, using creative group sessions and person centred approaches to meet individual and group needs. You’ll also work closely with colleagues in the Visitors’ Centre, prison staff and wider teams to make sure our programmes run safely, smoothly and with care. As part of Safe Ground’s flagship Family Service, you’ll be joining a reflective and supportive team of facilitators, counsellors and family support staff. Together, you’ll help strengthen family relationships, support positive change and contribute to a more compassionate, trauma informed culture within the prison.

You will be required to undertake additional training and vetting as per the requirements of the prison.

Oherwydd dylai pob plentyn a pherson ifanc cael y cyfle i ddarganfod Iesu, ac mae gormod sydd ddim mynd i gael y cyfle yna. Wrth gynnig adnoddau wedi’u sefydlu yn y Beibl, hyfforddiant ymarferol, a’n fframwaith cenhadaeth Datgelu Iesu, rydym ni’n helpu eglwysi a chapeli i adeiladu perthnasoedd sy’n arwain at ffydd. Mae’r tîm o Ysgogyddion Cenhadol yn cefnogi a thyfu rhwydwaith o Dywysyddion Ffydd – pobol leol gyda chysylltiadau cryf gyda’u cymuned leol, sy’n datgelu Iesu mewn bywyd pob dydd.

Rydym yn chwilio am Ysgogydd Cenhadol bydd yn cynnig cyfeiriad ac egni i weinidogaeth Scripture Union gan ganolbwyntio ar gychwyn a chynnal cyfleoedd i weinidogaethu. Byddech chi’n berson brwdfrydig sydd yn gallu ysgogi, hyfforddi, paratoi a chefnogi llawer o Wirfoddolwyr a Thywyswyr Ffydd gan gydweithio â nhw. Bydd yn arwain trwy esiampl hefyd, gan genhadu mewn ffordd ardderchog ymysg plant a phobl ifanc yn unol â chenhadaeth Scripture Union ac arloesi mewn dulliau newydd cenhadaeth.

Bydd yr ymgeisydd llwyddiannus:

· Yn gallu meddwl yn strategol a bydd ganddo/ganddi ddealltwriaeth gadarn o effeithiau gweinidogaethu.

· Yn wybodus iawn am weinidogaethu gyda phlant a phobl ifanc, a bydd yn eiriolwr brwd, yn ymarferydd rhagorol ac yn gyfathrebydd effeithiol.

· Yn dylanwadu ar rwydweithiau, yn llywio barn, yn herio difaterwch ac yn ysbrydoli creadigrwydd.

· Yn hunan-ddisgybledig, yn gallu trefnu a blaenoriaethu’r llwyth gwaith a rheoli sawl prosiect ar yr un pryd.

· Yn gallu gweld nodau hirdymor a gweithio tuag atynt.

· Yn agored i wahanol draddodiadau, arddulliau a ffyrdd o fynegi ysbrydolrwydd, gweddi ac addoliad ac yn gyfforddus gyda nhw, ac yn dod i adnabod ac i ddeall y Beibl yn well.

· Wedi cysegru ei hun i Dduw ac yn ddisgybl i Grist.

· Yn gallu cyfathrebu’n effeithiol a byddai’n fuddiol pe gallai siarad Cymraeg.

Os yw hyn yn eich disgrifio chi, ac rydych chi'n cytuno ag amcanion a chredoau Scripture Union, byddem wrth ein bodd yn clywed gennych chi.

Pam ymuno â ni? Y tu hwnt i effaith ddofn eich gwaith, rydym yn cynnig buddion rhagorol:

• Rôl hyblyg, sy'n cefnogi cydbwysedd bywyd a gwaith

• Cyflog cystadleuol a chynllun pensiwn hael (hyd at 12% o gyfraniad y cyflogwr) a'r opsiwn i ymuno ag Aberthu Cyflog

• 23 diwrnod o wyliau blynyddol + gwyliau banc + 5 diwrnod ychwanegol i wirfoddoli mewn digwyddiadau Scripture Union

• Absenoldeb Mamolaeth a Thadolaeth Gwell

• Yswiriant bywyd, Yswiriant Iechyd Parhaol (PHI), opsiwn i ymuno â BUPA Healthcare a mynediad at Raglen Cymorth i Weithwyr ragorol

• Nodiadau Darllen Beibl am ddim a disgownt staff ar ein deunydd arall

• Amgylchedd cefnogol, llawn ffydd lle mae gan eich gwaith effaith dragwyddol

Os ydych chi'n barod i wneud gwahaniaeth parhaol ac ymuno â chymuned sydd wedi'i huno gan ffydd, rydym am glywed gennych chi!

Mae'r Mudiad yn cymryd Diogelu o ddifrif. Bydd y rôl hon yn gofyn am Ddatgeliad Gwell gan y Gwasanaeth Datgelu a Gwahardd a bydd gofyniad galwedigaethol i'w lenwi gan Gristion ymroddedig, sy'n weithgar ym mywyd yr eglwys. Mae Deddf Cydraddoldeb 2010, Rhan 1, Atodlen 9 yn berthnasol.

Rydym wedi ymrwymo i adeiladu gweithlu amrywiol yn ddiwylliannol. Fel rhan o'r ymrwymiad hwn, rydym yn croesawu ceisiadau gan bobl, waeth beth fo'u cefndir.
