Job Description
The Chartered College of Teaching is currently working on a number of exciting projects, and is recruiting a Teacher Development Specialist to support this work. This is a fixed term position which will focus on supporting the delivery of a key strand of our work relating to teacher and leadership development in the context of educational technology (EdTech) implementation. By joining our team as a Teacher Development Specialist, you’ll be helping us to support teachers, champion great teaching and raise the status of the profession.
The role will run until the end of October 2026 in the first instance.

The Opportunity
The Teacher Development Specialist will play a key role in supporting our work around teacher and leadership development, and delivering one of our key projects focusing on understanding effective practice in relation to building expertise through collaboration. Drawing on their deep understanding of research, evidence and practice around teacher development, the Teacher Development Specialist will look to identify and build on existing practices and will seek to understand how as a profession we might encourage innovation and knowledge-sharing across the education sector. They will work with internal colleagues and wider stakeholders to understand how these practices might best apply to the field of Education Technology (EdTech).

Thousands of young people were sleeping rough every night, with many areas notoriously dubbed “cardboard cities” due to the visible rise in street homelessness. We are seeking an experienced Digital Service Manager to lead the delivery, governance and improvement of high-volume digital services that support democratic participation.

About the Role
mySociety is looking for a Digital Service Manager to oversee the day-to-day running and development of its online services, including WhatDoTheyKnow, FixMyStreet, TheyWorkForYou and WriteToThem.
This is a varied role combining operational service management, user support, governance, risk management and continuous improvement. About the role
As Head of Alumni and Supporter Voice, you will establish and lead a new strategic function for UCL Advancement, ensuring that the perspectives, experiences and needs of our alumni and supporters shape engagement, volunteering and fundraising strategies. Through a programme of research, insight and evidence generation, you will help drive more informed decision-making and enhance the experience of our global alumni and supporter community.

Supporting Young People
• Act as the first point of contact for people experiencing homelessness and referral partners, providing advice and signposting
• Conduct needs and risk assessments with potential Nightstop guests
• Coordinate and manage the logistics of each placement with volunteer hosts
• Work proactively with guests and partner agencies to identify longer-term accommodation options
• Provide ongoing support to guests and volunteers, including participation in a 24-hour on-call rota
• Ensure the safety and wellbeing of all guests and volunteers at all times
• Comply with data protection and information-sharing protocols
• Lead on safeguarding actions to protect people with an identified risk
Volunteer Recruitment, Promotion and Engagement
• Promote volunteer opportunities through community networks, local organisations, and online platforms
• Recruit and onboard volunteer hosts in line with safer recruitment practices, including interviews, references, DBS checks, and travelling to complete home assessments in line with lone working procedures
