Due to an internal secondment, a rewarding and exciting opportunity has arisen for a Philanthropy Engagement Officer to join the Philanthropic Partnerships Team in the Major Partnerships Unit (MPU) for a fixed-term role.
As Philanthropy Engagement Officer, you will independently deliver excellent account management and stewardship to a portfolio of existing major donors, contributing to our goals of sustaining and increasing income from high-net-worth individuals. You will also cultivate new prospects, following through leads and delivering persuasive proposals to secure new potential donors. You will also lead on the organisation of key engagement activities with the support of other team members, including in person and virtual cultivation and stewardship events.
We are therefore looking for solid experience of working in a fundraising environment, managing and prioritising a portfolio of funders to secure donations, and experience organising events. You will have worked with a diverse range of donors, and have strong interpersonal, communication, and time management skills, as well as being a collaborative team member.

Background

The Post
The purpose of the job is to provide coaching, support and guidance to young people with learning disabilities (17+) within their workplaces. You will support interns/graduates to become independent in their roles and provide the necessary coaching, training and encouragement to enable them to succeed. You will work closely with the employer to ensure they are supported and can confidently manage and train their intern/employee once your support has been withdrawn.
Main Duties and Responsibilities

The Unity Project (TUP) supports people who are facing poverty and homelessness because their immigration status allows them ‘no recourse to public funds’ (NRPF). Your first priorities will include mapping CoC provision across the country; working with the Director to design and implement a communications strategy to engage applicants, advice organisations, corporate partners and donors; and creating a suite of CoC resources to share online. Approved Premises (APs) work with high-risk people released from prison, providing a vital element in public protection arrangements. APs offer a level of contact, support and supervision within the community that is unique within the Criminal Justice System. This is an opportunity to be part of a dedicated, enthusiastic staff team at our male Approved Premises in Battersea, playing a key role in pro-social modelling, rehabilitation and community reintegration for those ready to make positive choices.
Working closely with Probation Officers and other community services such as police, health, housing and substance misuse, we provide a stepping stone from prison into the community.
As a member of the Approved Premises team, you will model pro-social behavior and foster a positive, respectful culture with both clients and colleagues. You will actively engage with residents, supporting communal activities such as meal preparation, and contribute to the delivery of individual sentence plans in collaboration with probation officers, police, and external agencies.
Your role will involve providing administrative and practical support, ensuring daily tasks are completed, and following all operational protocols. You will encourage compliance and enforce rules relating to curfews and drug and alcohol testing as required. Keeping colleagues, multi-agency partners, and management informed is essential.
You will be responsible for monitoring and maintaining the health, safety, security, cleanliness, and well-being of the premises and residents, utilizing tools such as CCTV, observation, and direct personal contact. Accurate, timely record-keeping and appropriate information sharing with respect for confidentiality are critical components of this role.
Using your initiative, you will identify and address additional tasks or emerging issues, working within the service to maintain an enabling environment. Migrateful is an award-winning social enterprise and registered charity founded in 2017. Our mission is to support refugees and migrants facing barriers to employment and integration in the UK by offering training, paid work, and a supportive community.

About the Role
The Operations Support Officer plays a vital role in ensuring the smooth running of Migrateful’s cookery classes and the overall effectiveness of our operations.
You’ll play the important role of supporting Facilitators by creating practical guides, coordinating training and skills-sharing sessions, gathering feedback, and maintaining up-to-date documentation such as health and safety records.
Alongside this, you’ll help manage other key areas of Operations like responding to customer and volunteer queries, coordinating volunteers for public and corporate classes, and supporting process improvements around our use of Salesforce.
A key deliverable of this role is overseeing our invoicing process. You’ll be responsible for bi-weekly checks to ensure timely and accurate payments to our cookery class hosts (Facilitators) and teachers (Chefs). You’ll also support improvements that help us better track the real cost of our classes.
