Botanic Gardens Conservation International (BGCI) is seeking to appoint an Office Administrative Assistant to provide essential support to keep daily office and organisational functions running smoothly, and administrative support to the Senior Management Team (SMT), Secretary General, BGCI Board, and International Advisory Council (IAC). Responsibilities include managing correspondence, preparing documents, maintaining records, organising meetings and logistics, coordinating travel, and acting as a central point of contact for staff and visitors. The role also provides high-level administrative and secretarial support, ensuring effective governance processes and efficient organisational operations.

Would you like to help send donated medicines around the world to those who do not have access to live-saving medicines? IHP is recruiting a Logistics Officer to become part of our growing logistics team who coordinate the safe and responsible donation of medical products to where the needs are greatest, so that people don’t suffer needlessly from treatable illnesses.

As a Logistics Officer you will play an integral role in IHP’s work arranging the shipping of donated medicines and medical supplies, for example our essential health packs and antibiotics, ensuring their secure transportation to disaster hit and vulnerable communities such as Sudan and Gaza.

Your responsibilites will include:

• ​Securing cost effective shipping quotes from some of the largest freightforwarders in the UK
• Preparing shipping documentation
• Ensuring shipping files are accurate and kept up to date
• Updating offers on our management system
• Communicating regularly with external partners, including key logistics partners, carriers, NGO's receiving shipments 
• Representing the Logistics team on the QMT (Quality Management Team)

Who you are:

- You'll have administrative/record keeping experience or demonstable transferable skills

The Role

As a Researcher, you will deliver research and analysis on forest and farm finance across the Global South, with a special emphasis on Latin America, working to strengthen sustainable finance models that support people, nature and climate goals.

A significant focus of the role will be designing and delivering action research projects, generating qualitative and quantitative evidence and applying appropriate research frameworks to deepen understanding of forest and farm finance.

Working with forest and farm producer organisations, you will analyse findings, develop new knowledge and produce research outputs that support the development of green value chains, improved access to finance and stronger self-generated finance models.

You will also co-ordinate collaborative projects with international partners, contribute to funding proposals and support communication and engagement activities that share research insights with wider audiences.

About You

To be considered as a Researcher, you will need:

• A solid research background with skills and experience evidenced by a track record of growing publications in your own field (e.g. research reports, policy briefs, tools or toolkits)
• Field research and in-country experience in forest and farm development work in Latin America
• Experience in research or in technical capacity development in relevant areas such as forestry or agroforestry, forest enterprise development, climate or development finance
• Experience of research team coordination, including from a distance
• Fluency in both English and Spanish
• Knowledge of institutions, actors, and current debates and research agendas in the field of forestry, agriculture and development
• An understanding of how to work effectively with partners in developing countries
• A relevant postgraduate degree in an area such as forestry, land use, economics, sustainable development or similar, or equivalent experience
•  Professional training and/or a certification in economics or access to finance for vulnerable communities
• The willingness to travel to developing countries

We are looking for an experienced charity finance professional who can play this key role in our UK finance team. MRG is a complex organisation with four offices, many projects and funders, and staff around the world.

Working with three UK finance colleagues, and those in our offices in Hungary and Uganda, the Finance Officer will process and record all our financial transactions (expenditure, sales and grant income) and assist in statutory reporting and year end audit preparation.

The person

We are looking for someone with:

• a minimum of four years finance experience, including two years experience of either management accounts report preparation, or preparation of statutory financial or equivalent experience of accounts analysis and reporting
• experience of using accounts software (e.g. SAGE, QuickBooks, Sun, Enterpryze, etc)
• experience of preparing statutory financial accounts
• experience of charity finances involving many projects co-funded by several donors
• experience of preparing annual accounts for audit under SORP accounting standards
• experience of other accounting functions including purchase ledger and sales ledger
• a high level of numeracy and attention to detail
• advanced level of competence in Excel
• the ability to prioritise work, meet deadlines and combine responding to urgent requests with longer terms tasks and activities

About the role

The Senior Individual Giving Executive will play a key part in the delivery of the Individual Giving programme, producing sector-leading comms and campaigns to recruit and retain supporters. You will work closely with the rest of the IG team and the Fundraising and Communications Department to deliver high-quality, data-led campaigns across a range of marketing channels. The role will include campaign delivery, budgeting, strategy and planning, managing relationships with key suppliers and driving continuous campaign improvement.

This role will focus predominantly on retention and engagement activity, with a particular focus on mailings, emails and telemarketing, amongst other channels, though there is flexibility for this to change in the future.

Responsibilities

Design and deliver an engaging, practical finance training session for non-finance CEOs, tailored to conservation NGOs operating in Africa. The topics they have suggested they would like to cover include:

• Understanding basic financial statements and what they mean for organizational health
• Budgeting and how to effectively review and monitor budgets
• How to manage and engage with a CFO or finance manager without having a technical accounting background
• Key questions CEOs should be asking their finance teams
• Identifying red flags and early warning signs of financial mismanagement
• Practical approaches to fraud prevention and detection, including essential internal controls
• Financial governance and the role of the CEO in ensuring accountability
• Donor compliance and managing restricted funds
• Cash flow management and financial sustainability
• Using financial information to support strategic decision-making

Requirements

• Proven experience designing and delivering finance training for non-finance audiences, ideally at a senior leadership level
• Strong understanding of financial management in NGOs, including donor compliance, restricted funding and financial governance
• Familiarity with the operating context of conservation NGOs in Africa and the associated funding landscape
• Ability to translate technical financial concepts into clear, practical and engaging content
• Strong facilitation and communication skills, with the ability to engage diverse and senior audiences.

Working arrangements

• The training will take place in Namibia in July 2026.
• The finance session will be approximately 3 hours in duration, as part of a one-day CEO training programme

The Role

As our Head of Fundraising & Business Development, you will lead efforts to secure and diversify funding, building a sustainable resource base to support our global mission.

Leading the Fundraising and Business Development Team, you will drive the implementation of our resource mobilisation strategy, focusing on increasing non-ODA income and expanding flexible and programmatic funding.

Working closely with colleagues across fundraising, finance, research and impact teams, you will help close funding gaps by developing strong donor relationships, negotiating funding agreements and shaping compelling funding propositions.

Alongside collaborating with the Director of Fundraising and Communications and supporting engagement with the Board of Trustees, you will manage systems, data and internal processes that strengthen fundraising performance and ensure effective delivery.

About You

• Lead daily management of IAPB’s social media channels (Instagram, TikTok, X, LinkedIn, Facebook), ensuring content is strategic and audience focused.

• With the support of other team members brief high quality, platform specific assets including graphics, social cards, shortform videos, EDM content, toolkits, and campaign materials.

• Support influencer-based activations—particularly on Instagram and TikTok—to normalise good eye health behaviours and encourage screenings

2. Content Development & Storytelling

• Write clear, compelling copy for blogs, press releases, social media, websites, campaign updates, and storytelling pieces.

The Head of External Communications is a senior strategic leadership role responsible for shaping, delivering, and protecting IAPB’s global communications work. This role leads the organisation’s external communications function, overseeing global media strategy, press outreach, stakeholder visibility, thought leadership, and crisis and reputation management. • Develop and deliver a bold, high impact‑ external communications strategy aligned to IAPB’s mission and the 2030 In Sight strategy.

The Role

This is an excellent opportunity for someone early in their finance career to gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced charity / NGO environment. You will support core finance functions including accounts payable, bookkeeping, bank reconciliations, donor fund tracking, and financial reporting.

Key Responsibilities

• Process invoices and manage accounts payable 

• Record and reconcile donations and income streams 

• Perform bank reconciliations and maintain accurate ledgers 

• Manage petty cash and staff expenses 

• Daily book-keeping and record keeping
