As Registered Manager you will work with a range of professionals, parents and carers in the Derbyshire and East Midlands area to ensure that our children and young people who have a varying level of learning and physical disabilities are supported with a person-centred approach, helping them to develop to their full potential and through the next stage of their life journey.

As Registered Manager you will lead, inspire, and motivate your team to hold the highest aspirations for our children and young people and oversee the running of our 4 bedroom home liaising closely with Ofsted to ensure regulatory compliance and excellence. We will actively support you in your role and provide you and your team with specialist training, development, and supervision.

Some key responsibilities of your role as a Registered Manager will be;

• Establishing a new long stay children's home for children and young people with learning and physical disabilities including the recruitment and induction of a new staff team.
• Providing high quality supportive 1:1 and reflective supervision to direct reports.
• Promoting and delivering the highest standards of safeguarding practice utilising existing processes and best practice to create a safe positive work and service environment.
• Developing and maintaining effective working relationships and maintain channels of communication with colleagues, community organisations, partner agencies and other external agencies.
• Developing and maintaining effective networks, relationships, partnerships, and contacts to improve outcomes for children, young people and families.
• To work closely with Ofsted to ensure we are operating a home that is deemed to be offering each child high quality care through effective leadership and management.

Let's talk about you

Whilst a management qualification Level 5 would be great, we are open to those with experience in a management role within a residential/social care setting. 

• At least 2 years experience in the last 5 years of working in a position relevant to residential childcare and at least 1 years experience in a leadership role.
• Creating an inclusive service, in terms of meeting the needs of the children and establishing a workforce that further enables an inclusive environment.
• Knowledge and understanding of the OFSTED requirements.
• Demonstrable experience of working with children with complex needs.
• Experience of leading by example with the application of safeguarding practices and policies.

We have a unique opportunity for an IDVA in a pilot project at Charing Cross Emergency Department. This s a full time 37.5hrs on a 12 month fixed term contract until end of June 2025. Co-locating, in a health service, an Independent Domestic Abuse Advocate (IDVA), a Domestic Abuse (DA) Coordinator and a violence prevention worker has never been trialled before anywhere in the UK.

About the role:

This role involves both face to face and virtual support in a hybrid model of working. There is an expectation that you will do a mixture of working from home, our office near Old Street and in co-location at Kings College Hospital. You will:

• Implement effective ways of working with victims to increase safety & reduce harm
• Provide a high-quality, front-line service to victims of domestic abuse
• Work within a multi-agency framework consisting of the MARAC and local partnership responses to domestic abuse
• Run group training sessions & share your specialist knowledge with acute staff across the hospital

You will need:

About the role:

As a Resettlement Worker and Domestic Abuse Specialist, you will work in person and remotely with clients who have support needs, in particular, those who are survivors of domestic abuse. In conjunction with other members of the Partnership, you will support our clients to engage with services and find accommodation solutions. You will work in a person-centered way to get the best prevention, relief and support outcomes for the client.

Main duties:

• To work with clients with support needs, to engage with their prevention, relief or advice goals by; Agreeing with them a support plan to deliver the actions identified in the Personalised Housing Plan. 
• Undertaking specific short term interventions to progress a client’s prevention or relief goals, including providing advice and support to enable individuals to improve their health and wellbeing. 
• Providing advice and signposting to support clients to access relevant housing and wider support services.

You will also from time to time be reading with and visiting families yourself, so you must be capable of lifting boxes, carrying rucksacks and pulling trolleys of books, walking around the estate and up and down stairs. Administration will be done at home/office.

You will need to have outstanding interpersonal skills to build relationships with both our dedicated volunteers and the whole family. You will inspire a love of reading in the children we visit and be a friendly face for their parents/carers, providing support and information where needed. About the role:

This role is based at our Gloucester office and will require regular travel within the Gloucestershire area. Hence, holding a driving licence is essential.

As a caseworker, you will:

This role is a hybrid role within the Children and Families Team which is part of the Wiltshire Domestic Abuse Service, providing support to children and young people that have witnessed or experienced domestic abuse.

The Children and Young Persons Triage Advisor will act as the gateway for all children and young people referrals to the Wiltshire Domestic Abuse Service. Working within an experienced and established team, the Children and Young Persons Triage Advisor will:

- Triage referrals, with a particular focus on children and young people who have witnessed or experienced domestic abuse.

- Conduct risk assessments and offer immediate safety planning advice.

- Respond to safeguarding concerns.

- Signpost victims and professionals to other support agencies where appropriate.

- Provided early intervention support to children and young people as part of triage and welfare calls made.

- Offer specialist domestic abuse advice and support to professionals.

Working with children and young people and risk management:

• Provide a victim focused service, with an understanding of the impact of trauma on children and young people.

• Provide advice, guidance and support to children and young people who have witnessed or experience domestic c abuse.

What are we looking for?

Sue Lambert Trust are looking for a resilient and experienced  counsellor ready to take on the challenge of a leadership and management role within an organisation passionate about offering a kind, safe and supportive therapeutic service to survivors of sexual abuse and violence. In this role you would be responsible for the professional development of our team of counsellors as well as supporting both trainee and experienced counsellors in their work with us.  

Background Information:

Sue Lambert Trust provides kind, safe, supportive help for people who have experienced sexual or domestic abuse at some point in their lives.

We provide free, specialist support that enables people to recover, heal and build resilience to face the future. Our support is organized around a three-phased trauma informed approach.

Phase One Groundwork is designed to support clients with practical issues as well as providing stabilisation in preparation for counselling. Around 200 clients per year access this service.

Phase Two Counselling is the core provision and is delivered by 50+ trained counsellor volunteers working with around 300 clients weekly.

Phase Three aims to build resilience and includes interventions such as self-help groups.

We are funded by the Office of the Police and Crime Commissioners Office, Ministry of Justice, National Lottery and several local and national Trusts and Foundations.

Job Title:Counselling Support and Development Manager

Responsible to: Head of Counselling

Job purpose:

1. To ensure that all counsellors and staff are provided with the skills and knowledge to deliver and develop Sue Lambert Trust services.
2. To support the Head of Counselling to manage a team of staff and counsellors in delivering effective, safe and quality counselling and other appropriate therapeutic services.           
3. To support the Head of Counselling in the development of clinical services, and work collaboratively with the Service Support and Development Manager to implement Trauma Informed Practices (TIP)

Main responsibilities:

Operational Delivery

3. To act as the Senior Counselling Lead for all trainee counsellors, undertaking case management monthly

6. To act as one of the designated safeguarding leads within the organisation, providing support to Senior Counselling Leads and counsellors
