The Association of Directors of Public Health (ADPH) is a Charity and Company Limited by guarantee and is the representative body for Directors of Public Health (DPH) in the UK. The Association has a rich heritage, its origins dating back more than 160 years. It seeks to improve and protect the health of the population through collating and presenting the views of DsPH; advising on public health policy and legislation at a local, regional, national and international level; facilitating a support network for DsPH; and providing opportunities for DsPH to develop professional practice.
We are now looking to appoint to the full-time, permanent position of Development Programme Manager. The successful candidate will work with our Head of Development and Engagement to develop and deliver our comprehensive membership offer to our range of members.
In addition to managing their work programme they will act as Project Manager for some ADPH events, participate and lead cross team projects and line manage and oversee the work of our Project Administrators and Coordinators.
Candidates will be required to demonstrate experience of working in a training and leadership development environment, as well as a background in event and workshop management. Working with our senior stakeholders will require excellent communication and interpersonal skills, alongside a proven ability to prioritise a busy and varied workload.
The Association operates a hybrid working model, with an office in central London for staff who wish to attend, and welcomes candidates from across the UK. There is however a requirement that all staff attend our regular ‘face to face’ team meetings, further details of which can be provided ahead of any application by contacting the address shown in this posting.

The roles

Key Responsibilities
· Lead origination, due diligence, structuring and execution of social investments into mission-aligned commercial lenders and community finance organisations
· Manage a portfolio of investments, including monitoring financial and social impact performance, reforecasting, and supporting investee governance
· Build and maintain strong relationships with mainstream banks, credit funds and aligned investors to crowd in commercial capital
· Play a leading role in shaping either our Guarantee Fund or our investment support for pilots and new products
· Contribute to strategic initiatives across the organisation, and support and mentor junior colleagues
· Represent Fair4All Finance at events, with stakeholders and in working groups
Essential experience & qualifications:
· Significant investment experience – this could be from social investment, banking, private equity or another relevant sector
· Strong financial modelling, commercial analysis and deal execution skills
· Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement experience, especially with senior leaders
· Evidence of building collaborative partnerships and leading teams or projects
· A commitment to our mission and an understanding of the impact of financial exclusion
Desirable experience
· Experience investing in social fintechs, consumer credit or early-stage ventures
· Experience working with community finance providers (e.g. credit unions, CDFIs)
· Commercial fundraising or regulated fund management experience
· Familiarity with policy and systems-change initiatives, especially around financial inclusion

About the role
We are looking for a self-driven, highly motivated team player to join our HR department. Reporting to the Director of Human Resources, this postholder will work closely with the two HR People Partners. The post holder will lead and manage all formal employee relations cases whether it be disciplinaries, grievances or complaints. They will also Project manage and deliver on HR projects including the development of new initiatives and HR policy updates.
Responsibilities
- To lead and manage employee relations activity across the charity by working closely with the key stakeholders.
- To provide guidance and advise senior managers in line with MSSC policies, employment legislation and ACAS Code of Practice regarding complex HR situations.
- To lead and take notes at all MSSC disciplinaries, grievances and formal complaints to support the process. These could include conduct, performance management/capability, absence management. grievances, bullying and harassment, discrimination, whistleblowing etc.
- Ensure appropriate documentation of cases including file notes, correspondence, accurate meeting minutes etc, ensuring their employee file is kept up to date and organised.
- To provide support to the HR People Partners on broader ER issues, if necessary, such as absence management/OH referrals, performance management/PIPs.
- To support and assist the Director of HR and the team on a range of HR projects and initiatives.
- To develop, review and implement HR policies, procedures and guidance documents, ensuring legal compliance and best practice.
- Manage the appraisal process including launch communications, monitoring completions and reviewing forms for any ER issues and logging training needs.
- Lead the annual staff survey launch and collation and analysis of data.
- To cover for the Director of HR and other team members as required.

- CIPD qualified or equivalent experience
- Strong experience of leading employee relations cases and advising senior management
- Strong knowledge of employment legislation and best practice
- Strong organisational skills – the ability to juggle a demanding workload and manage priorities and working under pressure and takes pride in producing high quality work

Purpose of the job

Main Activities
Income Generation:
- Build multi-year corporate relationships that generate income and gifts in-kind by creating and maintaining an active pipeline

Job Summary
Oversee our helpdesk, which acts as the first point of contact for requests for support from our staff and volunteers. Lead business as usual IT operations and support so our people have the tools they need to carry out their work. Role Summary
Beyond Sport is seeking a dedicated Grants Manager to lead our end-to-end grant-making process across our global programmes. This partner-facing role will lead all grant application processes, including due diligence, approvals and agreements as well as grantee relationship management through the life cycle of the grant.
This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a truly global organisation. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with the team in both the US and the UK, reporting to the Senior Programme Manager (UK). The position will support the strategic programme implementation and work alongside specialists in the team on Monitoring and Evaluation and Events & Capacity-Building.
Key Responsibilities:
Grant Management
- Lead on all communication with grantees (and award recipients) across programmes.
- Manage grantee payment and reporting schedules with clear expectations and communications.
- Build and own the organisation's system of communicating with grantees (and award recipients).
- Collaborate with Finance on grantee bank account details, payments, and invoicing.
- Coordinate with the team to support grantees through marketing, events, and capacity building opportunities. Work cross-team to support grantees to fulfil monitoring and evaluation of grant requirements, insight surveys and financial reports where needed.
- Maintain the grantee CRM database, ensuring data is accurate, up-to-date, and easy to use.
Grantee Selection Process
- Manage the grant application process from start to finish for funding and award programmes.

The Opportunity
This is an exciting time to join our charity: Cambridge is changing rapidly, and we are working hard to tackle issues such as the loss of nature, climate change and access to green space. We have inspiring new projects to expand habitats and green spaces on the Gog Magog Hills, to create a new wetland at our Coton Reserve, to plant trees and woodlands and to save one of Cambridge’s oldest buildings. Committed to our causes, you will use your donor cultivation skills to strengthen existing relationships and use your research and networking skills to identify and cultivate new opportunities. What’s the job?
In this exciting and varied role, you will take the lead in delivering commercial marketing initiatives that add real value to both students’ unions and our supplier partners. Working within the Trading Support team, you’ll be responsible for planning and executing the activity against brand development programmes across key sectors including retail, catering, and licensed trade. These initiatives are designed not only to drive commercial returns, but also to deliver on the values and mission of NUS – putting ethical, sustainable, and student-focused outcomes at the heart of everything we do.
Your role will include negotiating marketing activity with NUS-approved suppliers, ensuring that all initiatives are aligned with agreed budgets and the broader annual trading plan. The post-holder will coordinate union-led activity at the SoM in Canary Wharf, supporting other departments in the activity they run and running engaging and relevant activities for SoM students. The post-holder will also support the UCL East Manager in undertaking continual research into activities and tracking engagement with activities on the campus.

Job summary
The Royal Society of Tropical Medicine and Hygiene (RSTMH) is a Society of over 1,700 members from 100 countries, who work in, or are interested in tropical medicine and global health.
RSTMH organises and participates in events as a crucial way of showcasing, discussing, and debating key areas of tropical medicine and global health research and practice. Our range of events are wide. We deliver conferences and webinars, social events, research meetings for early career professionals, and high-profile debates and discussions. They happen across the UK and around the world, both online and in person. Our events add to the impact of our work in tropical medicine and global health, but also raise funds to allow us to continue our work as a charity.
The Meetings and Events Manager would lead on the delivery of the RSTMH meeting and events strategy. The role requires a self-starter who is excited by the prospect of working on such a broad range of meetings and events. The candidate needs to have excellent communication and relationship building skills, and to be organised, flexible with a great attention to detail. They should be comfortable liaising with venues for meetings space, developing budgets for events, managing logistical aspects of the events programme and setting up new events online and in person.
Main responsibilities
- Overall responsibility for the meetings and events programme, achieving its financial and other goals and KPIs under the existing strategy
- Overall responsibility for the delivery of the events with a focus on expanding global reach, supporting careers, and improving the financial position
- Manage events from conception to completion - delivering events to the highest standard to meet their objectives of success – quality and cost effectiveness
- Attend the Meetings and Events Committee, optimising meetings including helping set the agendas, leading discussions, writing minutes, liaising with the Chair
- Assist to identify, appoint, and manage Scientific Chairs, Committees, and Sub Committees to secure event speakers, secure attendees and sponsors
- Overall management of the income being delivered from ticket sales, sponsorship and other income streams linked to meetings and events, with support from line manager and CEO
- Responsible for the income and expenditure budgets and monthly reforecasts for our meetings and events, and ensuring accurate financial record keeping
- Support and train colleagues to run meetings and events online.
- Work with the team to develop all event materials – physical and digital
- Work with CEO and Senior Manager to identify sponsors, develop proposals and negotiate income
- Produce comprehensive event briefings for speakers, team, and Board
- Support and attend events, sometimes out of office hours, in and out of the UK
- Evaluate and report on the success of each event and consider areas of improvement
- Ensure up to date event information is publicised on the website and on other RSTMH channels
- Work with the team at RSTMH to develop and implement a marketing plan for events
- Manage all event enquiries, from external and internal stakeholders
- Liaise with and manage relationships with event stakeholders internally and externally, including suppliers, members, committees, Board, speakers, sponsors, exhibitors
- Work with the Membership Manager to maximise the engagement of event attendees in RSTMH’s work, and conversion of events attendees to be members
- Develop processes to ensure we capture all data from events, through our CRM
- Ensure efficient processes exist for ticket sales, paying expenses and invoices and all other aspects of RSTMH meetings and events
- Develop longer-term event strategy for RSTMH
- Document and maintain accurate process and guidance documents for the Meeting and Events role.

- Degree level education or relevant proven work experience
- At least 3 years proven track record of managing and delivering in person and online events including selecting and negotiating agreements with suppliers, drawing up cost and income budgets, delivering events and monitoring and evaluating their success
- Strong experience of working with a CRM system
- Experience of running online events, with knowledge of variety of platforms
- Strong project management and organisational skills
- Evidence of working with events committees and managing suppliers to deliver events
- Strong budget management experience including forecasting, and planning
