Team Administrator
Overview
Watford and Three Rivers Refugee Partnership (WTRRP) provide services to refugees, asylum-seekers and other vulnerable migrants in our area.
We are looking for a part-time Team Administrator to support us with administrative duties to ensure the smooth running of services we provide as well as support with the volunteer recruitment process. This post is funded by the National Lottery grant until February 2027 with possibilities of being extended. This is a part-time post of 18.5 hours a week and is office based in Watford.
We are looking for someone with excellent interpersonal and administrative skills who understands the needs of our clients and partner organisations. In return we can offer you an interesting and rewarding role that enables you to give back to your community. We run a successful drop-in service every Tuesday from 11.30-1.30pm, a Social Hub for clients, as well as a number of ESOL classes. We have a full-time Caseworker and a part-time volunteer co-ordinator as well as over 60 volunteers.
Salary: £13,668 (£27,336 FTE)
Working hours: 18.5 hours per week, there is some flexibility regarding working days but must be available on a Tuesday.
Duration: This post is funded until Feb 2027 but, with good prospects of extension

Key Responsibilities
Community Outreach & Engagement

- Facilitate and support Online Arthritis Action Groups and Self-Management Events, including managing group logistics, promotion, and administration.

Networking & Relationship Building

Location & Travel

MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB:

Birthrights is the leading authority on the fundamental human rights of women and birthing people during pregnancy and birth and our work has never been more urgent.
We need a strong team-player and self-starter who can respond to all enquiries coming into the advice service and who knows when to seek further support, guidance, or information from the rest of the team.
Our advice and information manager, who works 3 days a week, will retain overall responsibility for the advice service provision, bringing the intelligence themes from the advice service to the wider training and advocacy work of Birthrights. You will be supported by the manager to respond and to confidentially record advice enquiries on two days a week, working directly with the advice and information manager and our Legal Lead on any more challenging enquiries that require a response beyond giving individual advice. For example, Birthrights might write directly to a Trust or raise themes from our advice work with the NMC or the Royal Colleges. You will coordinate your schedule with the existing Advice and Information Officer and Manager to ensure that two team members are available throughout the week, with overlap in working days for collaborative working and team meetings.
You will be an integral part of our team. We have a weekly advice team meeting and monthly team meetings. We use Microsoft Teams messaging and calls to support one another and to communicate throughout the day.

Join Different Strokes, a national charity led by young stroke survivors for young stroke survivors. There are 100,000 strokes in the UK every year, and 1 in 4 of these happen to someone of working age or younger. We aim to promote independent stroke recovery and help younger stroke survivors to reclaim their lives.
We are a small national charity that really cares about what we do. We are currently looking to expand our team, and to devote additional resources to support our network of local groups across the UK, which provide vital peer support for stroke survivors in a face-to-face setting.
We have around 30 autonomous local groups, which are all volunteer led. As the Community Administrator you will work closely with our Volunteer and Groups Co-ordinator, and provide vital administrative support. You will be responsible for such activities as data collecting, ensuring group documents and paperwork requirements are up-to-date, providing monthly updates and ordering marketing materials.
You will help to ensure that all our group volunteers receive the support they require, and respect the autonomy that groups have to make their own decisions, while ensuring that they work within the framework of Different Strokes and that they meet compliance requirements. The ability to communicate effectively with group volunteers and other third parties, by phone, email and through online platforms, is essential.
The role would be based in our office in Milton Keynes. The willingness to undertake occasional visits to groups would be beneficial.
This is a permanent position for 15 hours per week. Very occasional evening or weekend work will be required.

Location: This is a remote UK-based role with regular travel to CST’s national and regional events, mainly in Birmingham and London. Candidates within reasonable travel distance to these locations are preferred.
Salary: £41,603 - £45,470 a year.
Pension: We offer a workplace pension and life assurance scheme. CST makes contributions equivalent to 10% of your gross salary.
Annual leave: Initially 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays, with an additional two days leave after three years’ service.
Working hours: Full-time 37.5 hours.

Key responsibilities
Strategic Development and Continuous Improvement
- Develop and implement strategic plans to strengthen the value, engagement, and content of CST Professional Communities.
- Set clear objectives and KPIs to monitor success and drive continuous improvement of community services.
- Regularly evaluate community activity, identifying ways to increase engagement, relevance, and impact for members.
Community Content Curation and Management
- Oversee the quality, consistency, and relevance of content across all 11 Professional Communities, ensuring alignment with member priorities and organisational objectives.
- Work in partnership with community chairs, subject experts, community supporters and CST’s platinum partnerships to proactively commission, curate, and quality-assure community content (e.g., webinars, blogs, resources, discussions).
- Work closely with the professional learning and conference teams to ensure a joined-up, coherent approach to content across CST activity, avoiding duplication and enhancing overall member value.
- Identify content gaps and work creatively, including drawing upon resources and contacts within the policy and partnership team to address them, ensuring a balanced and evolving programme across the communities.
Community Engagement and Facilitation
- Lead and facilitate virtual and in-person community events, ensuring professional delivery and high-quality member interaction.
- Support and brief speakers, chairs, and contributors to ensure a consistently excellent experience for members.
- Actively promote member engagement through community platforms and other channels, driving participation and interaction.
Stakeholder Relationships
- Build and maintain strong relationships with CST members, community chairs, speakers, and supporters.
- Collaborate with internal colleagues across membership, communications, professional learning, policy, and conference teams to maximise the impact of community activities.
- Manage relationships with sponsors where appropriate, ensuring alignment with CST values.
Digital Platform and Event Management
- Oversee the effective use of digital and platforms (including CiviCRM and Hivebrite,) to host communities, deliver events, and share content.
- Manage operational aspects of events and online communities, ensuring smooth logistics and excellent user experience.
Data, Insight, and Reporting
- Monitor and report on community engagement, content performance, and member feedback, using data to guide improvements.
- Lead the ongoing development of data processes for the communities, ensuring accurate insights are captured and shared.
Team Leadership and Development
- Manage, develop, and support the Professional Communities Coordinator, fostering a collaborative, high-performing culture.
- Encourage learning and development across the team to ensure consistently excellent member service.
Adaptability and Wider Contribution
- Contribute to broader membership engagement strategies and initiatives.

The Challenge Events lead plays a critical role within the fundraising team, combining strategic oversight with a hands-on commitment to delivery excellence. This role will provide clear direction and structure to the planning and execution of our event portfolio, while remaining close to the operational detail — streamlining processes, refining supporter journeys, and driving performance through data, insight and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities
- Independently lead the planning, delivery, and evaluation of a portfolio of flagship challenge events — including the London Marathon, London Landmarks Half, Brighton Marathon, Ultra Challenges and other third-party partnerships — ensuring a high standard of execution and supporter experience.
- Drive and manage Charity of the Year pipelines and partnerships, contributing to long-term income growth and brand visibility through strategic relationship-building and high-profile placement.

- Lead on supporter acquisition strategy across owned and paid channels — including ballot management, grassroots marketing, and behavioural communications — to ensure high-quality leads, strong retention and long-term supporter engagement.
- Provide operational oversight, guidance and mentorship to the Events Fundraising Co-ordinator, ensuring clarity of roles, consistency of delivery, and strong compliance across all areas of shared responsibility.

Work environment
- The post holder should expect to:
- Work in a hybrid hot desk environment, generally working 2 days a week in the London office and three from home.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

Essential Experience
- A minimum of 3 years’ experience independently delivering large-scale fundraising events, with full responsibility for logistics, budgeting, and strategic outcomes.
- Strong track record in supplier management, live event delivery, and compliance — including health & safety, risk assessments, and insurance.
- Proven success managing high-value relationships with third-party organisers (e.g. London Marathon Events), including negotiating terms and ensuring delivery excellence.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and manage ambitious budgets, including forecasting, reforecasting, reporting and cost-efficiency tracking.
- Deep knowledge of event marketing and acquisition strategies — including ballot processes, audience segmentation, targeting, and grassroots recruitment.

Role Summary
- The School Engagement Coordinator for Northern Ireland serves as a crucial liaison for the Into Film programme in the region. This role involves actively engaging with schools and educators to promote and support their participation in various initiatives related to film, games, and creative media.
