FareShare Greater Manchester is looking for safe, confident drivers to join our busy, friendly delivery team. 

We re-distribute tonnes of surplus food a month to charities and community initiatives across Greater Manchester. This is an achievement of which we’re proud, and want to expand and is why we need your driving and delivery skills to support our growing operation, especially in these current times of increased need.

Key responsibilities

Driving a van to deliver surplus food orders to the premises of the various Community Food Members we support. 
Loading and unloading the vehicle and carrying out a range of tasks, from basic vehicle checks to delivery administration.

As a Delivery Driver at FareShare, you will be driving a temperature-controlled 3.5 tonnes Mercedes Sprinter van; working closely with a Driver’s Assistant to re-distribute food orders to the premises of a wide variety of Community Food Members. You will be involved with loading the vehicle and carrying out a range of tasks, from basic vehicle checks to delivery administration.

The required skills and attributes are as follows. You must:

Be aged 25 or over, with a clean driver's licence (or a maximum of 3 points).
(Experience of driving a van is desirable though not essential).

Be reliable and be able to commit to pre-agreed volunteer shifts.

Be physically fit to take on moving and handling of food orders.

Possess the ability to follow procedures and instructions.

Have good verbal communication skills.

Have a high respect for Health & Safety standards and procedures.

Have an interest in the work of FareShare Greater Manchester and our values.

Our operating hours are Monday - Friday 8:30am to 4:30pm. 

Drivers' 4 hour shifts begin at 8:30am.

We’re looking for one Support Group Volunteer over the age of 18 years old, based at St. Marys (Eltham) Community Complex Association, 180 Eltham High Street, London, SE9 1BJ.

You’ll be volunteering every Thursday between 10:30am and 12:30pm.

As a support group volunteer, you will help with the running of the group. The role is designed to suit the needs of the group, and the skills of people offering support. If you enjoy getting to know your community, working with others and making a real difference then this is the role for you.

The volunteer will be

· A people person, with good listening skills

· A great communicator who enjoys meeting new people

· Good at putting people at ease

· Reliable and organised

· Passionate about supporting people affected by stroke

· IT literate, have good administrative and record keeping skills and be able to follow relevant policies

• Administrators - Are you detail-oriented and love keeping things organised? Assist with branch and event administration, manage schedules and branch calendars, and ensure everything runs smoothly currently being undertaken.

VOLUNTEER SECRETARY / GOVERNANCE LEAD

Help guide SUNSHINE Charity with strong governance, clear records, and thoughtful organisation.

SUNSHINE Charity is looking for a committed and organised Volunteer Secretary / Governance Lead to join our Board of Trustees and help support the charity’s governance, administration, and compliance. Working closely with the Chair, fellow Trustees, and the Project Lead / Project Manager, you will help ensure the charity runs smoothly, keeps good records, and remains well organised and accountable.

This is an important trustee role for someone who values structure, clarity, and good governance, and who wants to play a meaningful part in helping a grassroots charity grow in a responsible and sustainable way.

ABOUT THE ROLE

As Secretary / Governance Lead, you will help support the effective running of the Board of Trustees and contribute to the charity’s overall governance. You will help organise meetings, maintain records, support trustee communication, and ensure key governance tasks are kept up to date.

This role is ideal for someone who is methodical, reliable, and comfortable handling administrative and governance responsibilities.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

• Support the Chair and Board of Trustees with governance and administrative duties.

• Organise trustee meetings, including agendas, papers, minutes, and follow-up actions.

• Maintain accurate and secure charity records, documents, and key correspondence.

• Help ensure the charity meets its governance, reporting, and policy obligations.

• Keep track of trustee terms, appointments, and other governance matters.

• Support the development, review, and organisation of charity policies and procedures.

• Act as a point of contact for formal trustee administration and record-keeping.

• Help ensure the Board operates in a structured, efficient, and compliant way.

• Work closely with fellow Trustees and the Project Lead / Project Manager to support effective charity operations.

WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR

• Strong organisational and administrative skills.

• Good written communication and attention to detail.

• A reliable, discreet, and methodical approach.

• Confidence in handling meeting papers, records, and governance documents.

• Ability to work collaboratively with other Trustees.

• An interest in charity governance, compliance, and good practice.

• Previous experience in a secretary, administration, governance, or trustee role would be helpful, but is not essential.
