We are looking for friendly volunteers to help our shop management team assist customers and donors, and ensure the shop is tidy and well stocked. Whether you have a passion for fashion and love chatting to customers, or you would prefer to be behind the scenes in our stockroom, your help could make a difference in your local community.

• Leverage personal and professional contacts to open doors for new opportunities.
• Cultivate and manage existing and potential donor relationships, including trusts, foundations, companies, high-net-worth individuals, and institutional/EU funders.
• Identify and explore new, sustainable income streams such as consultancy opportunities, training, corporate partnerships, etc.
• Develop a strategy to grow and diversify income.This will provide financial insight to support EiT’s strategic and budget planning.This will include identifying budgeting for restricted and unrestricted funding.
• Attend relevant networking events and represent EiT at conferences, webinars, trade shows etc with the aim of cultivating financial opportunities.

Person Specification

Essential

· Relevant Business experience and Donor Development

• Proven track record in fundraising and donor development, with success across income streams, for instance:Trusts/foundations, Corporates, HNWIs, institutional/EU funding.

Our fundraising team leaders have the exciting and varied role of inspiring our fundraising volunteers to plan and deliver local fundraising events. Using their passion and imagination, they oversee a small team of fundraising volunteers who come together to raise the vital funds needed to cover costs such as veterinary bills and food. Volunteer Role: New Cadet Unit Launch Specialist (Mobilisation Team) - LONDON

Location: London (Hybrid options for planning)

Time Commitment: Flexible during the 8-12 week setup phase; attendance at the official Launch Night is essential.

About the Role:

Are you a natural organiser with a "get-it-done" attitude? We are looking for dynamic New Cadet Unit Launch Specialists to be the driving force behind the expansion of Ranger Cadets.

While our permanent unit leaders focus on the long-term journey of our cadets, you will be the architect who builds the foundation. You will lead the setup, recruitment, and official opening of new units, ensuring that when the first whistle blows, everything is in place for success.

Your Mission:

• The Foundation: Secure and risk-assess local venues for weekly parade nights.

• The Team: Assist in the initial recruitment and onboarding of the local Uniformed Adult Volunteer team.

• The Launch: Coordinate "Open Evenings" and the official Launch Night to welcome new cadets and their families.

• The Handover: Ensure a seamless transition by providing the permanent Unit Leadership Team with the tools, rotas, and training they need to take the reins post-launch.

Airplay is part of the RAF Benevolent fund and run by One YMCA. We provide youth clubs for children aged eight to eighteen which includes Ben Clubs for children aged 5 to 7 too. We provide a range of social activities in state-of-the-art facilities with sessions run by our friendly youth workers.

MAIN TASKS/RESPONSIBILITIES:

· To support the provision of the Airplay and Ben Club activities and workshops

· Developing relationships with young people in a safe environment

· Supervising children and young people in activities, workshops and discussion sessions

· Engaging in learning and play with younger children

· Working with children and young people to track their progress

· Data entry/light admin work may be required

YOU WILL NEED:

Hertfordshire’s Family Centre Service brings children’s centres, health visiting and school nursing together, to provide a more joined-up service for children, young people, and their families.

The centres deliver a range of support groups and activities for children and their families to help them be healthy, grow and develop. To make it easy for families to fit sessions and services around their busy lives, access is available from any Hertfordshire Family centre. We have locations across the entire county so please do enquire ensuring you have provided your postcode. 

Main Tasks/ Responsibilities/ Activities

To support qualified staff in creating a welcoming environment for families attending breastfeeding and infant feeding sessions.

Key Responsibilities:

· Welcome parents and carers to infant feeding sessions, making them feel at ease.

· Offer encouragement, reassurance, and a listening ear to families, providing peer support under staff guidance.

· Support with preparing and tidying away resources used during sessions.

· Model sensitivity, respect, and inclusivity when discussing feeding choices.

· Promote the benefits of breastfeeding and infant feeding best practices (Hertfordshire Family Centres are Baby Friendly Initiative (BFI) accredited through UNICEF)

Skills / Abilities / Experience / Qualities

· Friendly, approachable and empathetic.

Training / Support

Volunteers support every aspect of our work, including but not exclusively: governance, administration, fundraising, marketing, and project delivery. We recognize that without our teams of volunteers we would not be able to support our service users in the way we do. In your role as Volunteer Co-ordinator you will be the 'champion' and first point of contact for volunteers within the organisation, ensuring all volunteers are encouraged and celebrated. You will be responsible for helping to maintain and improve volunteer recruitment and retention and for recruiting, inducting and supporting volunteers to deliver a range of appropriate services for clients, in line with Plateful Cafe's Business Plan. The key features of the role will be: 

1. Recruiting and selecting potential volunteers, acting as an ambassador for Plateful Café

2. Inducting volunteers into suitable roles based on their interests, experience and expectations and the charity's needs

3. Providing an initial point of contact with the charity and ensuring volunteers maintain a positive and confident approach

4. Supporting the volunteer team to ensure the provision of relevant experience, training and development opportunities as well as supervision and support

5. Maintaining an up-to-date database in order to monitor volunteer progress and to record and celebrate their contributions

6 Contributing to newsletter and reports in order to maintain and develop the profile of Plateful Café

7. Good understanding of safeguarding to keep both employees and volunteers safe and protected. 

8. Good management skills and the ability to organise on behalf of others.

9. Help new volunteers when they are stuck with certain tasks

10. You will need to effectively strategise a plan for other volunteers, make volunteer rotas and stay on top of volunteering admin and prioritise important tasks.

Requirements, we are looking for someone who;

· Is committed to the aims and objectives of the Plateful Café

· Has experience of working with volunteers, preferably in a charity 

· Has an understanding of the needs of refugees and how to involve them in the or-ganisation
