The Role:

As a volunteer, your responsibilities will include (but are not limited to):

• Creating Instagram content, including posts and stories
• Capturing photos and videos that highlight our activities, updates, and events
• Showcasing donation appeals in a clear and appealing way
• Helping maintain a consistent and on-brand social media presence
• Monitoring basic engagement (likes, comments, and shares)
• Greeting and assisting customers when required

The Volunteer:

• Knowledge of using Instagram and current social media trends
• Is creative, visually focused, and confident taking photos or short videos
• Is friendly, approachable, enthusiastic, and able to communicate our mission online

Our Independent Visitor Service is looking for volunteers in or near to Stourbridge.

For many children and young people living in foster care can be unsettling. You can make a difference by volunteering as an Independent Visitor. 

We are looking for fun, reliable, and pro-active volunteers from all different cultures, backgrounds and experiences who have a genuine interest in making a difference to the lives of children and young people. 

You will decide with your young person what to do, but activities could include going to the cinema, bowling, playing football, going to a restaurant, riding a bike, or walking in a park. We will match you with a child you share common interests with. 

You do not need experience of working with children and young people, just an interest in their development and welfare. Full training and support are provided 

Here’s a few of the young people we have waiting for a volunteer: 

• Amy (12) lives with an older carer, she would like an active Independent Visitor who can do sports with her. 

• Brad (13) lives in residential care with other young people, he doesn’t have anyone in his family visit. He would like an Independent Visitor to take him out and have fun, like the other young people. 

• Cassie (16) lives with carers in a new town, she doesn’t have any friends in the area yet. She would like an Independent Visitor to help with her confidence and going out in the local area, she loves hot chocolate and cake. 

• Danny (11) lives with foster carers and attends a special school. He would like an Independent Visitor to help him be more independent, he likes parks, aeroplanes, and animals. 

• Emma (9) lives with her carer in a very busy household, she would like an Independent Visitor to spend some time with her on her own trying different activities together.

As a Founding Volunteer Hospitality Operations Consultant, you will work closely with the leadership team to design the retreat's operational structure before construction and launch.

You will help create the guest journey, accommodation experience, retreat activities, staffing requirements, wellness offerings, cultural experiences, food and beverage operations, maintenance systems, and daily operating procedures.

The Role: 

As a volunteer, your responsibilities will include (but are not limited to):

• Curating engaging in-store displays in key “hotspot” areas
• Organising continually changing merchandise into attractive and logical groupings
• Assisting in planning and executing occasional window displays
• Ensuring shop floor presentation is tidy, visually appealing
• Greeting and assisting customers in a friendly and professional manner
• Supporting sustainable practices by ensuring items are displayed appropriately and unsellable items are redirected responsibly

Purpose of these volunteer roles

We are seeking 2–3 enthusiastic volunteers to help us clear a backlog of membership applications, process new applications, and maintain, manage, and optimise our Salesforce platform. To meet our needs, we are recruiting for two distinct volunteering roles based on level of Salesforce expertise:

Role 1: Data Entry & administration – Perfect for individuals looking to gain hands-on database experience, or those who are passionate about data accuracy and enjoy structured, routine administrative tasks. You will focus on day-to-day data entry, updating member records, and maintaining high data accuracy.

Role 2: Salesforce optimisation & reports (experienced Salesforce specialist) – Designed for individuals with extensive Salesforce expertise. You will focus on building custom reports, creating dashboards, and optimising system workflows to improve efficiency.

Both roles are essential for ensuring our membership data is up-to-date and accurate, GNDR gets the most out of our Salesforce platform, and our global communications are impactful, targeted and relevant to our members.

What you will be doing

Data Entry & Administration:

• Process a backlog of existing membership applications and handle new member applications, ensuring details are accurately entered into Salesforce
• Assist in managing member groups, mailing lists, and automated workflows
• Monitor and maintain the data quality and integrity of member records
• Work with the Membership Engagement Coordinator and Regional Leads on membership administration and work plans
• Provide first-level support to internal users (e.g. fixing minor issues, updating records and correcting errors).

Salesforce Optimisation & Reports for Salesforce Experienced Volunteers:

• Work with the Membership Engagement Coordinator, Regional Leads, ED and consultant on optimising our use of the platform
• Create and customise reports and dashboards to track membership growth, event attendance, and member engagement
• Suggest and implement system and workflow improvements and optimise Salesforce use.

• Communication skills: Ability to explain technical processes to non-technical team members
• Attention to detail: High level of accuracy with a commitment to data quality and integrity
• Technical expertise: Confidence working with Google Workspace, spreadsheets and databases

The Role: 

As a volunteer, your responsibilities will include (but are not limited to):

• Sorting, testing, and pricing donated toys
• Identifying missing pieces and completing sets where possible
• Creating attractive and engaging toy displays on the shop floor
• Ensuring all toys meet safety standards before being sold
• Greeting and assisting customers when required
• Assisting with till operations when needed

The Volunteer: 

We’re looking for someone who:

• Has an interest in toys, games, and children’s items
• Is confident in basic testing of battery-operated toys

We are looking for enthusiastic volunteers who are passionate about physical activity and community wellbeing.

Project Resilience provides easily accessible opportunities for our hostel residents to take part in a variety of social and sporting activities to boost overall health and wellbeing.

You will play a key role in promoting healthy lifestyles by delivering fun, inclusive, and accessible physical activity sessions for people of all ages and abilities.

We would welcome qualified instructors from a range of activities such as:

·Boxercise

·Yoga

·Pilates

·Dance

·Football

·Basketball

·Circuit Classes

·Supported Gym workouts

This role offers a dynamic and rewarding opportunity to inspire and mentor vulnerable residents, contributing to their health and personal growth. Your commitment to excellence in coaching and resident engagement will not only enhance your professional skills but also make a significant impact on the community. 

You will :

·Plan and lead, safe, engaging fitness sessions for small groups of residents

·Adapt exercises to suit varying levels of mobility, ability, and health conditions.

·Monitor participants' safety and wellbeing during sessions.

·Encourage participation and build confidence through motivation and support.

·Log attendance and feedback as required.

·Work in line with safeguarding, health and safety, and risk assessment protocols.

Skills required:

·Recognised Fitness Qualification, Exercise Class Qualification or Sports Qualification, recognised in the UK 

What we will provide:

·Access to communal garden area and nearby fields for outdoor activities

·Access to a small internal gym (bench, weights, exercise equipment)

·You will be required to undertake mandatory e-learning and a menu of optional training will be made available

·Ongoing supervision and support from your line manager

·Travel expenses reimbursed (if applicable).

Support the work of St John Ambulance in your community by volunteering as a Fundraising Lead, an exciting new role which is designed to revamp how volunteering looks in the modern world; flexible, innovative and is open for all.

We need people who have a passion for helping others, care about their communities and want to make a difference, supporting them to become safe and more resilient. St John Ambulance is a charity, and our fundraising is vital in supporting our mission to place the power of first aid in everyone’s hands.

Through organising and supporting fundraising in your area, you will bring people along to our cause, growing our membership and fundraising base and spreading the message that First Aid Saves Lives.

Our vision is that everyone receives the help they need in a health crisis from those around them. We will achieve that by putting first aid at the heart of every community.​As a Fundraising Lead, you will coordinate the activity of a group of dedicated volunteers to achieve fundraising goals and support the work of St John Ambulance. Other aspects of the role include- coordinating and leading fundraising activity with your team, leading or supporting the recruitment of fundraising volunteers, supporting the promotion of local, regional and national fundraising campaigns and activities and working closely with the Community Fundraising Manager

With this new role, you simply volunteer when it works for you. That means you can give as much time as you like or as little as 24 hours across a whole year, whenever it suits you. It’s perfect for busy lives, and changing schedules

The Fundraising Lead provides an easy way to stay connected and contribute meaningfully to your local community. Through volunteering you’ll get a huge sense of satisfaction and pride delivering an essential service. It’s great for you, great for your community and great for our nation, and it requires only a small commitment of your time.

Once we have completed your selection and screening for this role, we will provide you with an induction, as well as invite you to any necessary training sessions. Cats Protection is the UK’s leading feline welfare charity and our vision is a world where every cat is treated with kindness and an understanding of its needs. As a charity we are able to help thousands of cats each year thanks to the generous donations we receive from members of the public.

Our fundraising team leaders have the exciting and varied role of inspiring our fundraising volunteers to plan and deliver local fundraising events. Using their passion and imagination, they oversee a small team of fundraising volunteers who come together to raise the vital funds needed to cover costs such as veterinary bills and food. Our fundraising team leaders support their team of volunteers in all aspects of their roles, making sure our volunteers are happy, confident and supported. Activities include:

· Supporting and encouraging a team of fundraising volunteers

· Planning fundraising events and activities with your team

· Allocating tasks before and during fundraising events

· Keeping financial records from fundraising events

· Encouraging and promoting a professional image of Cats Protection 

· Following policies and guidelines and ensuring licences and permits are obtained for events

You will develop new skills, expand your knowledge and make a significant contribution to improving the lives of cats and kittens by helping raise funds and awareness through organising local events. You will also meet new people, make new friends and be part of a dedicated team of volunteers. You will be supported and guided from our National Cat Centre and through our regional and local volunteer groups and teams. We offer engaging online and face-to-face training, expenses and have policies and processes to help volunteers get the most out of their time with us.

We're looking for someone with the following:

· Great people skills and the ability to bring out the best in others

· Excellent organisational skills

· The ability to prioritise and delegate

· An appreciation of the importance of handling money and charity resources responsibly

· Fine-tuned communication skills and a passion for engaging with people within your local community

· Basic IT skills to use Cats Protection systems - training and support can be provided

· Committee volunteers need to be aged 18+

Our fundraising team leaders usually spend three to four hours per week in this role, which is flexible and can be shared by more than one volunteer if needed.
