Key Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver marketing campaigns to promote the charity’s services, events, and impact.
• Manage and grow the charity’s social media presence through engaging and regular content.

• Support the promotion of fundraising campaigns and community events.

About You

We’re looking for someone who is creative, organised, and passionate about making a difference.

You will ideally have:

• Experience in marketing, communications, or PR.
• Strong writing and storytelling skills.
• Experience managing social media platforms and digital content.
• The ability to manage multiple tasks and work independently.
• A genuine interest in supporting women and promoting equality.
• willing to committ to at least 3 months volunteering

Experience in the non-profit/charity sector is helpful but not essential.

Job Purpose:

We are seeking a highly organised, proactive, and trustworthy Executive Assistant to support the Founder with the day-to-day coordination, administration, communication, and priorities of the CIC.

You will work closely with the Founder and senior team to keep meetings, projects, communications, and actions organised and moving forward.

This is an unpaid voluntary position for someone passionate about fighting CSA and supporting survivors across the UK.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate the Founder’s calendar, meetings, appointments, and commitments.
• Support the Founder with emails, correspondence, reports, presentations, and briefing documents.
• Attend meetings, take notes, track actions, and ensure follow-ups are completed through Asana.
• Coordinate with departments, volunteers, partners, and external stakeholders on behalf of the Founder.
• Support the organisation of events, training, fundraising activities, and key meetings.
• Maintain organised digital files, shared documents, and confidential information.
• Help the Founder stay informed by gathering updates and highlighting key priorities and deadlines.
• Handle sensitive information relating to CSA, survivors, and organisational matters with discretion.
• Provide additional administrative and coordination support as required.

Ideal Candidate

• Passionate about fighting CSA and supporting survivors.
• Highly organised, proactive, reliable, and able to manage competing priorities.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Professional, empathetic, discreet, and trustworthy.
• Confident working independently and directly with senior leadership.

Previous Executive Assistant, Personal Assistant, administration, or project coordination experience is beneficial but not essential.

About The Role

As a member of the Cathedral Chapter, you will share with the Dean in the oversight of cathedral life. Chapter members are invaluable in shaping the direction of the cathedral and ensuring we continue to fulfil our mission and purpose. You will work collaboratively with clergy, staff, volunteers and external partners to uphold the cathedral’s mission, vision, values and strategic priorities.

Key Responsibilities of Chapter Members

· Perform the requirements of Charity Trustees for the purposes of the Charities Act 2011.

· Take full part in the discussions and decision making of the Chapter as it fulfils its statutory responsibilities to exercise general control and management of the administration of the cathedral.

· Order the worship of the cathedral and promote its mission;

· Formulate, after consulting the bishop, proposals relating to the general direction and mission of the cathedral.

· Ensure the approval of an annual budget.

· Ensure the preparation and approval of an annual report and accounts for audit and subsequent approval.

· Keep under review the Constitution and Statutes.

· Ensure the appropriate management of cathedral property and income, including necessary repairs and maintenance.

Key Individual Responsibilities of Chapter Members

· Attend Chapter meetings, held a minimum of six time a year for approximately three hours on a weekday afternoon, including one all-day away-day (all held in Birmingham City Centre).

· Offer an average time commitment of six hours per month, unevenly spread.

· Attend and contribute to worship at the cathedral.

· Contribute to the ministry of hospitality offered at the cathedral, and other cathedral activities as may be appropriate.

· Attend civic and community events.

· Act as an ambassador for the cathedral.

· Carry out the objects of the cathedral.

· Expect to serve for the full three-year appointment period, with opportunity for reappointment.
