About the Role

We are Buttons & Bubbles C.I.C. and our mission is to increase inclusion and representation for disabled families across society. We offer a variety of services including bespoke characters, workshops, free resources, events, sensory trails, and more.

We are looking for volunteers to help source, sell, and send clothes on Vinted to raise money for our services. This role is not about listing your own items but about sourcing donated items from others that we can then sell to support our work.

Description

Sooty, the nation’s much-loved bear and a true national treasure, has featured on RNIB’s collection boxes for over 50 years. Thanks to generous public support, these iconic boxes have raised more than £13 million in donations.

We’re looking for friendly, reliable volunteers to join our network of Sooty Box collectors. In this flexible role, you’ll help place new boxes and collect and bank donations from Sooty Boxes in local shops, cafés and other businesses in your area. Whether you volunteer on your own, with a friend or as part of a group, you’ll be making a real difference in your community.

You can give as much or as little time as you like and fit the role around your other commitments.

Please note: Volunteers are expected to use their own transport and ideally should have access to a car. Mileage or public transport costs will be reimbursed.

From elderly moggies to energic kittens, every day across the UK cats and kittens are in need of a temporary place to stay, and lots of love and TLC! We need more fosterers like you to provide a safe, temporary haven for cats and kittens and provide them with everything they need before they get their chance to land on their four paws and make a house a home.

The branch are looking for indoor fosterers so any applicants would need to have a suitable spare room.

Holyport C of E Primary School is seeking to appoint governors who have a particular focus on maintaining the Christian ethos of the school and to play an active role in the strategic direction of the school, which is part of the Oxford Diocesan Schools Trust.

Volunteering as a governor provides the opportunity to contribute to the local community. In return, we can offer the chance to:

This position is open to anyone with a keen interest in Friends of the Earth and our local campaigns in the borough of Camden. We are looking for people interested in environmental and sustainability issues and environmental justice in the Camden community who enjoy assisting in the organisation of events.

Duties:

The events assistants will provide support in our events as part of a team, including tasks like:

• Assisting with the execution of various charity events and campaigns

• Helping with the preparation of events and campaigns

• Attending meetings with the group and events such as FoE marches 

• Setting up event spaces, including decorations and signage

• Addressing any issues that arise during the event and providing immediate solutions

• Collecting event data and feedback from attendees

• Assisting with post-event reporting

Copywriter

Youth Sustainability Forum is looking for an experienced and professional Website Copywriter to support the development of our new website. This role will focus on crafting clear, compelling, and strategic web content that communicates our mission, programs, and impact in a way that resonates with partners, funders, and young people.

The copywriter will work with our team to refine messaging across key pages including our story, programs, impact, and the Youth SDG Summit. We are looking for someone who understands how to write for the web—combining strong storytelling with clarity and structure to create content that is engaging, credible, and aligned with our voice as a youth-led organization.

Your work will help position Youth Sustainability Forum as a leading platform for youth-driven solutions in Zambia, ensuring our digital presence reflects the scale of our impact and inspires more partners and young people to join the movement.

Can you help us to raise awareness of bowel cancer symptoms across your local area?

Become a Bowel Cancer Awareness Champion and use your voice in the community, in-person or virtually, to make sure everyone knows how to spot the signs and symptoms of bowel cancer. This will help make sure more people can spot the signs sooner and so get a diagnosis at the earliest possible stage when the disease is more treatable and curable.

Take part from the comfort of your own home, using your social media to share our specifically curated social media graphics and videos in your community by reaching out to local businesses, community notice boards and places of worship to display our posters, or at your workplace by sharing information through your staff newsletters, our leaflets, or by putting our symptoms posters up in your staff toilets.

No long-term commitment is required — just a little bit of your time and your local knowledge! We'll provide you with everything you need to get you started including our toolkit and handy guide, as well as support from our dedicated volunteering team.

However you choose to take part, you’ll be helping your local community by making them aware of the symptoms of bowel cancer and where to find out more about what to do about them.

Could you provide a temporary home full of love and care, supporting rabbit(s) while we work to match them with their perfect adoptive family?

We’re seeking compassionate people like you who meet the following:

• 21+ years old and
• Ideally, live within 45 minutes of our sanctuary.
• Able to safely transport rabbits to vet visits or meet-and-greets.
• Provide a secure, clean, and loving home—indoors or outdoors.
• Ideally, have experience with rescue rabbits.
• Committed to fostering long-term.

Foster Carer Responsibilities:

• Daily Love & Care: Feed, groom, and socialise your foster rabbits, giving them the warmth and attention they deserve.
• Attending appointment: Bring your rabbits to the sanctuary for vet visits or adoption meet-and-greets. Urgent vet trips may be needed if your foster becomes unwell.
• Stay Connected: Share updates and photos to help us track their progress.
• Follow Their Plan: By following each rabbit's tailored care program, you ensure they have the best chance of success.

This is a voluntary role.

Through fostering, your home becomes a peaceful space where a rabbit can relax and let its gentle nature emerge, demonstrating its personality to potential adopters, helping them to find the family they have been waiting for.❤️

The Guild is looking for a professional to join our Trustee Board as an External Trustee. The Trustee Board is ultimately responsible for overseeing the affairs of the Guild. Our Trustees must ensure that the Guild is well run and delivers the objectives for which it has been set up.

It is an exciting time for the Guild as we progress with our 2022-2027 strategic plan and continue to deliver excellent services for our students. A strong and active Trustee Board is essential to support and guide the organisation’s work.

We would encourage candidates with current or previous experience in a membership organisation; however, this is not necessarily a requirement. We would be particularly interested to hear from individuals with a background in Student Unions or the Charity sector; previous experience as a Students’ Union Officer would be advantageous, but these are not essential.

The Guild welcomes applications from a wide range of backgrounds that are reflective of the full diversity of Birmingham’s community and the West Midlands, and in particular we welcome applications from people of colour as we seek to continually increase diversity within our governance structures.

The post of External Trustee is appointed for a period of three years, which can be extended for a second term up to a maximum of six years. This role is not remunerated; however reasonable expenses (travel/accommodation etc) will be reimbursed.

Unfortunately, thousands of cats each year are abandoned or have strayed and rely on charities like Cats Protection for help. Becoming a trap, neuter and return (TNR) volunteer is one way you can make a real difference to cats in your local area. Our TNR volunteers help reduce the number of feral cats by raising awareness of our TNR programmes, setting humane traps to safely capture cats, taking them to local vets to be neutered, and hopefully returning them back to their territory. Local TNR programmes are crucial, as feral and abandoned cats present a huge challenge for communities across the UK.
