What we need from you

This is a really flexible role, you can choose what you’d like to get involved with, for example: 

• face-to-face fundraising. Organising or helping with fundraising events, running supermarket collections and fundraising stands, monitoring collection tins 

• online fundraising. Setting up online appeals and writing impactful cat case studies that maximise donations

• marketing. Spreading the word about our fundraising activities, for example on social media and with the local press  

• completing administration. Processing donations, sorting and recording donated goods, completing Gift Aid paperwork

● championing our work. Getting involved with developing new fundraising ideas and increasing community engagement

● photography. Capturing images of cats in care, cats we are helping, events and all things Cats Protection

Time expectation

This is a flexible role that can fit around your other commitments to suit you. You’ll be part of a team raising vital funds while having fun in the process!

Fundraising events helper

As a charity we can continue to help cats and kittens in need thanks to the donations we receive at fundraising events from generous members of the public. Our fundraising event helpers have the exciting and varied role of helping at local fundraising events - such as cakes sales, barn dances, quiz nights – and everything in between!

You can expect us to

What we need from you

You’ll be:

· help set up and/or man stalls at events

· help on collection days like supermarket collections events or street collections

Time expectation

This role is really flexible! You could choose to volunteer at one event for a couple of hours or attend multiple fundraising events.

We’ll keep you up to date with upcoming local events where volunteers are needed. You’ll then be able to choose which events you’d like to volunteer at and how many hours you’d like to give. However much time you can give, your contribution will help raise much needed funds to continue the work of Cats Protection.

We have branches across the UK, all of which help our cats in different ways. Job description:

We are looking for few candidates to join our volunteer human resource programme and gain real world experience in your chosen field. While we only have few vacancies available through this programme, other options are available if your skills match our criteria.

About the Role

The HR Programme Manager is a strategic leadership role responsible for overseeing the HR Programme and managing the HR Liaison. This position ensures the successful delivery of the HR Programme, aligning it with organisational goals and fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional growth. The Programme Manager will work closely with senior leadership, Heads of Department (HoDs), and the HR Liaison to design, implement, and refine the programme, ensuring it meets the needs of participants and the organisation.

Key Responsibilities

1. Strategic Oversight of the HR Programme

• Develop and execute the strategic vision for the HR Programme, ensuring alignment with organisational objectives.
• Collaborate with the Director: HRBP, Legal, IT & HR Programme to define programme goals, KPIs, and success metrics.
• Continuously evaluate and refine the programme to address emerging needs and industry trends.

2. Team Leadership & Management

• Manage and mentor the HR Liaison, providing guidance and support to ensure effective programme execution.
• Foster a collaborative and results-driven team culture, encouraging innovation and accountability.

3. Stakeholder Engagement

• Build and maintain strong relationships with Heads of Department (HoDs) and external partners to ensure programme relevance and impact.
• Act as the primary point of contact for senior stakeholders, providing regular updates on programme progress and outcomes.

4. Programme Design & Implementation

• Oversee the design and delivery of HR Programme content, ensuring it meets the developmental needs of participants.
• Coordinate with internal and external facilitators to deliver high-quality training sessions, workshops, and resources.

5. Monitoring & Evaluation

• Establish a robust monitoring and evaluation framework to track participant progress and programme impact.

• Prepare comprehensive reports for senior leadership, highlighting achievements, challenges, and recommendations.

6. Communication & Advocacy

• Promote the HR Programme across the organisation, ensuring high visibility and engagement.

Required Skills

The Role

We are seeking a proactive, confident, and relationship driven Volunteer Partnerships & Growth Manager to identify, approach, and onboard affiliate partners, collaborators, agents, and other supporters who can help expand the reach of the platform.

This role focuses on building a strong network of individuals and organisations who can introduce creators, promote campaigns, or otherwise support the growth of Influential Stars.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify and approach potential affiliate partners, collaborators, agents, and networks

• Introduce individuals and organisations to the platform and explain how they can get involved

• Support onboarding of new collaborators and affiliates

• Build and maintain positive relationships with partners and introducers

• Encourage ongoing engagement and participation

• Maintain regular communication to nurture long term partnerships

• Coordinate with internal team members to ensure smooth onboarding

• Provide clear information about roles, expectations, and opportunities

• Maintain accurate records of outreach and partnerships using our CRM management system

Skills and Experience Required

Essential:

Although this is currently a volunteer position, Influential Stars is actively working to grow the platform with the long term aim of creating paid roles. • Develop and manage engaging content (images, reels, carousels, stories, and short videos) across Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, TikTok, and X (Twitter).
• Grow our online presence, increase followers, and boost community engagement.
• Create monthly content calendars aligned with our programs and fundraising campaigns.
• Identify trending topics and opportunities to raise awareness about vulnerable groups.
• Collaborate with the team to produce authentic, impactful storytelling content (with full consent and safeguarding standards).
• Monitor performance analytics and provide simple monthly reports.
• Support fundraising drives and donor engagement initiatives.

Who We’re Looking For

• Deep passion for social impact and supporting vulnerable communities.
• Proven experience or strong skills in social media management and content creation.
• Excellent writing and communication skills in English (knowledge of other languages is an advantage).
• Proficiency with content tools such as Canva, CapCut, or similar apps.
• Self-motivated, creative, and able to deliver consistently with minimal supervision.
• Understanding of social media best practices, algorithms, and analytics.
