Are you a proactive Senior People Business Partner looking for a part-time (30 hours per week) HR opportunity working for a brilliant national charity on a 12-month FTC?

This position offers extensive hybrid working, primarily remote with occasional attendance at their Head Office in central London. You will be part of a high performing People and Culture team, where you will line manage a People Business Partner.

This operational role, reports into the Deputy Director of People and Culture on a daily basis. You will act as a trusted adviser to senior leaders, ensuring the effective delivery of employee relations, recruitment and organisational change activity across the organisation.

Some of the key responsibilities of this part-time 12-month FTC Senior People Business Partner role include:

• Acting as a senior trusted adviser to directors and leadership teams, providing expert guidance on complex employee relations matters.
• Overseeing and resolving high-risk and complex ER cases, including those requiring legal advisor involvement.
• Leading organisational change initiatives, including restructures, transformation programmes and TUPE transfers.
• Implementing a strategic approach to workforce planning, recruitment and resourcing.
• Using people data and metrics to inform decision-making and drive a more data-led culture.
• Coaching and developing managers to build leadership capability and embed high performance practices.
• Overseeing policy development and review in line with employment legislation and best practice.

The ideal candidate will be an experienced CIPD qualified senior HR Business Partner with a strong HR operations background. You will have proven experience managing complex ER cases, leading teams and building trusted relationships with senior stakeholders. Strong knowledge of UK employment law and experience of leading restructures and TUPE processes are essential. It would be very advantageous to have experience of working in the not-for profit sector.

About you

Do you want to use your skills to make it possible for people with myeloma to live longer and better lives?  We are looking for someone with experience of delivering high quality supporter journeys and delivering fundraising projects and activities to join our Legacy & In Memory Giving team. Helping to grow income and supporting and delivering the Legacy & In Memory Giving fundraising strategy. 

You will have excellent communication, organisational and IT skills with good attention to detail and be able to follow procedures accurately.  Being successful in building effective relationships, self-motivated with the ability to manage a wide range of tasks under pressure and committed to making a difference is essential.

Previous experience of working in a cancer or healthcare charity, talking to bereaved and vulnerable supporters and using Raiser’s Edge or a similar CRM system would be an advantage but not essential.

About the role

The Legacy & In Memory Giving Fundraiser will help support and deliver the Legacy and In Memory Giving fundraising strategy.  You will have compassionate communication skills, especially when talking to supporters who are recently bereaved and you will develop and deliver outstanding stewardship programmes that offer support and drive retention.

This role requires using data and insight to help deliver the Legacy marketing programme, whilst also supporting the day-to-day Legacy and estate administration, dealing with solicitors, legal representatives and executors.  You will proactively develop In Memory Giving fundraising, maximising the fundraising products, channels and messaging already available, as well as identifying new opportunities that are suitable for the Legacy & In Memory audience.

The role will also include working with colleagues, maximising cross team collaboration and ensuring appropriate Legacy and In Memory stewardship across all fundraising specialisms.

About the role:  

The Data Analyst (Geo-Spatial) is a key position in the Monitoring & Evaluation team and works closely with the wider Programmes Team to support the process of collecting, analysing, managing and storing high quality data.

The position is pivotal in the development and implementation of a new digital Information Management System (IMS) for the organisation’s Monitoring and Evaluation data. This involves working in partnership with a range of both internal and external stakeholders. 

The position will play a key role in turning geospatial evidence into insight for programme quality, landscape impact and carbon integrity. 

Main duties:  

• Lead on the analysing and interpretation of geo-spatial data across the organisation using a range of GIS, remote sensing and spatial analysis tools to support monitoring, evaluation and learning 

• Produce spatial analyses and maps to assess restoration, tree cover, land use and ecosystem change over time at project and landscape scale 

• Develop, maintain and manage online dashboards and visual analytics products to support programme management, learning and decision-making 

• Working with external developers, design and maintain digital data collection tools and workflows, covering data capture, aggregation, analysis and visualisation for project indicators and organisational Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) 

• Develop and maintain the organisational M&E geospatial database, focusing on areas of land benefiting from restoration activities, including tree planting, tree survival, landscape regeneration, and agroforestry systems 

• Work closely with the NbS and Carbon team to produce, analyse and quality-assure geospatial data used for carbon programmes, including baseline development, monitoring and verification

About the opportunity

As Treasury Manager within our Finance & Assurance directorate, you'll own our Treasury and Accounts Receivable functions, playing a vital role in our financial sustainability. You'll monitor our cash position, forecast cash flow across diverse income streams from online fundraising platforms to direct donations and community collections, and manage banking relationships to ensure we optimise our working capital and invest our reserves wisely.

This isn't a back-office role. We are looking for a Finance Manager to run the day-to-day finance systems and processes of the Trust, managing the financial reporting and compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements. You will provide support and advise budget holders to help us achieve our vision of restoring nature on a grand scale in the West of England.

To support this growth, we are recruiting for a full time Director of People to help provide strategic people leadership to our growing team of staff and volunteers.

In this pivotal leadership role, you will shape and deliver our People and Culture strategy, ensuring an inclusive, values‑driven and high‑performing environment for our people. You will lead organisation‑wide strategic workforce planning, oversee the full employee lifecycle, and champion initiatives that strengthen engagement, wellbeing and belonging. As a core member of the Senior Leadership Team, you will advise on all workforce matters, drive leadership development, and support our managers to build capability and confidence. You will ensure our HR, volunteering and people operations run smoothly and efficiently, modernising processes and maintaining compliance with employment law, safeguarding requirements and best practice. You will also provide strategic oversight of EDIB work, reward and recognition frameworks, and organisational risk, while leading a dedicated team covering HR, learning and development, and volunteering.

The role requires excellent communication and organisational skills, strong knowledge of employment law, the ability to coach and influence senior leaders, and the capacity to work autonomously while managing multiple priorities effectively. You must be IT literate, with a good working knowledge of the commonly used Microsoft business tools, and be able to work independently. The role calls for a hands-on, collaborative, people‑centred leader with strong emotional intelligence, an inclusive and values‑driven mindset, and the ability to think strategically while remaining performance‑focused and learner‑centred.

This is a home-based role but may require occasional travel around the UK including overnight stays. This role is 5 days per week (35 hours) with working days/hours to be mutually agreed in line with business needs.

This role will lead and deliver two projects, the Net Zero Carbon (NZC) Young Adult Voices Project, and the General Synod Young Voices project, across which it will engage with a wide variety of young people.

The Net Zero Carbon Young Adult Voices project recognises that action to tackle climate change, as part of the wider environmental crisis, is important for young people, and responds to the fact that the NZC programme is not currently strategically engaging with these groups.

This project will involve:
- gathering the voices of young adults (18-30) to enable them to influence the direction of the programme and the Church's wider Environment Programme, ensuring their voice is heard at all levels of the Programme, and informs decision-making.
- communicating what the NZC programme is doing, to raise awareness amongst young people of the CofE's commitment to being a NZC church with these audiences, and to enable pathways for them to become involved in decarbonisation and other environmental projects at the local level.
- work with diocesan colleagues to enable the voices of young people to exercise leadership influence on NZC at a Diocesan level, as appropriate.

Important to the success of this role will be engaging with departments and stakeholders across the Church of England, to ensure this work sits within the broader context of the priority to be a church which is younger and more diverse.
As this is a new project and a new role, the postholder will help to shape the role. The initial focus will be to develop a NZC Young Adult Voices Strategy and Plan for sign-off by the NZC Programme Board, and then to work through delivery of this. This will need to consider the theology, mission and action that will engage and connect with young people - particularly exploring how we root this work in the spirituality and theology that is relevant for a younger audience.

The General Synod Young Voices project follows two motions passed at General Synod (in July 2024 and February 2025) committing General Synod to listening and responding to the voices of children, young people and young adults in every subsequent session. This project involves gathering the voices through schools, churches and Dioceses and enabling children and young people to speak and present each session at General Synod. In addition, it involves working with a group of young adults drawn from every diocese to run a programme of faith and leadership development that enables them to speak into General Synod at a national level, and exercise leadership influence at a Diocesan level as appropriate.

This is a fixed-term role until December 2028, with potential to extend, dependent on 29-31 Triennium Funding.
