Responsibilities of our Senior Corporate Partnerships Development Officer:

• The successful candidate will lead the development of new, long-term corporate partnerships, supporting the implementation of the corporate partnerships fundraising plan and increasing sustainable net income for Cats Protection.
• The Senior Corporate Partnerships Development Officer will be pivotal in driving new income for the charity, working as one with teams across the charity to identify new opportunities for potential corporate funding support.

About the Corporate Partnerships team:

• We sit within the Marketing & Income Generation directorate.
• The corporate partnerships team is split between new business and account management, made up of driven, passionate and dynamic corporate fundraisers
• We currently have a team of one full time Senior Corporate Partnerships Development Officer and a Corporate Partnerships Development Manager, in addition to a Lead Corporate Partnerships Manager who oversees the entire corporate partnerships team
• You will be managed by the Corporate Partnerships Development Manager, and you will work alongside another Senior Corporate Partnerships Officer to achieve a joint team target

What we are looking for in our Senior Corporate Partnerships Development Officer:

• Significant corporate partnership fundraising experience generating new business within a charity setting
• Extensive experience of developing strong relationships with supporters/ clients/colleagues
• Experience of presenting business proposals in person and via conference call
• Experience of managing commercial participators agreements, negotiating updates and changes where necessary 
• Excellent networking skills
• Familiar with the CIOF codes of practice relating to corporate partnership fundraising

Acorns Children’s Hospice provides specialist care and support for babies, children and young people who are life limited or life threatened. Supporting over 750 children and nearly 1,000 families annually, Acorns is a vital lifeline for families across the West Midlands and Gloucestershire during unimaginably difficult times.

Over the past three years, Acorns’ leadership has enhanced collaboration and innovation across the charity and embedded an organisation-wide fundraising culture. They are now seeking a senior corporate partnerships specialist to lead Acorns’ newly formed Partnerships Team, which combines corporate new business, account management and community income streams.

A member of the Fundraising Leadership Team, the role will be responsible for securing and managing high-value strategic partnerships with businesses while simultaneously driving engagement with local community groups, education partners, and faith groups, ensuring clear tiering, structured pipeline progression and robust income performance.

The role will also act as Partnerships lead for the upcoming £5m fundraising appeal, co-canvassing alongside the Head of Philanthropy and executive leadership, and mobilising corporate and community networks around key campaign moments.

As Head of Partnerships, you will:

• Report to the Associate Director of Fundraising and line manage a team of four (Senior Business Development Manager (Corporate), Senior Corporate Partnerships Manager Senior Community Partnerships Manager, Partnership Engagement Officer)
• Form part of the Fundraising Leadership Team, with shared accountability for strategic decision making, compliance and cross-directorate working
• Lead and integrate Corporate and Community fundraising into a cohesive partnerships strategy aligned to the wider Fundraising Strategy
• Design and implement a three-year corporate and community income plan, with full budget and forecasting responsibility
• Conduct an audit of current partnerships activity, pipeline and resource allocation to ensure effort aligns to regional and national potential
• Lead corporate new business acquisition, securing multi-year strategic partnerships, Charity of the Year agreements, cause-related marketing, sponsorship and stock generation partnership

Essential skills and experience:

• Strong corporate fundraising background within a charity setting
• Proven track record of securing six-figure corporate gifts
• Experience managing and motivating teams to deliver robust income targets
• Experience designing strategies, annual plans and budgets and adapting them as required
• Strong knowledge of the corporate landscape, regionally and ideally nationally
• Confidence leading high-value pitches, negotiations and senior stakeholder engagement
• Experience of forecasting, reporting and managing income performance
• Strong working knowledge of CRM systems and fundraising compliance

Stewardship: Partnership & Stakeholder Engagement 

• Supporting the income generation, growth and development of The Reading Agency. 

• Build and maintain relationships with a range of partners, including but not limited to funders, businesses and the publishing sector. 

• Support the delivery of partnership benefits and activations, ensuring contractual obligations are met. 

• Act as a point of contact for commercial partners and sponsors, supporting onboarding, stewardship and day-to-day communications. 

Campaign Planning & Delivery

• Liaise with the digital marketing team, inputting into the content schedule across social media and other channels, working with colleagues to agree priorities. 

Communications & Resources 

• Support the development of campaign and partnership materials, including toolkits, briefings, presentations and promotional content. 

• Coordinate with creative and media agencies and internal teams to manage briefs, timelines and approvals. 

• Proofread and edit content across channels to ensure quality, consistency and brand alignment. 

Gifting, Distribution & Logistics 

• Support the coordination of book and materials gifting programmes, including liaising with publishers, suppliers and delivery partners. 

• Maintain records of stock, distribution and fulfilment. 

Research, Evaluation & Reporting 

• Work with the evaluation team to support the development of project reporting metrics and assist with data collation and analysis. 

• Prepare updates and reports for internal stakeholders, partners and funders. 

• Maintain databases, CRM systems and accurate records of campaign and partnership activity. 

Commercial & Financial Administration 

• Support partnership proposals, pitch decks and presentations. 

• Assist with contracts, invoices, purchase orders and budget tracking. 

• Track income, benefits in kind and return on investment for partners. 

This is a proactive, hands-on role where you’ll develop compelling fundraising content, support high-impact campaigns, and play a key role in growing our Regular Giving programme. You’ll combine creativity with insight — crafting powerful donor communications while using data to improve performance and retention.

For 50 years, Kidney Care UK has been at the forefront of supporting people with kidney disease. From our early days when we campaigned to introduce donor cards in the UK, we have worked hard to support and represent the interests of everyone affected by this lifelong condition. We continue to provide practical, emotional, and financial support for individuals and their families, while also working with healthcare professionals to improve care services and campaign for change.

Our ‘Priced Out of Existence’ campaign was shown on the BBC 6 o’clock and 10 o’clock News and referenced by media across the UK. Our #BloodyAmazingKidneys campaign has reached more than 6 million people and 294,000 of those have taken our digital kidney health checker.

We’re building partnerships with leading companies across the UK, raising the profile of kidney disease and working with them to make sure that their customer service teams understand the needs of kidney patients throughout the country, working with them to make sure that kidney patients are top priority for their vulnerable customer teams. We’re working with global pharmaceutical companies developing world class patient information and advice. And we want to identify more companies in different sectors who are passionate about supporting people with kidney disease, which is why we are expanding our Corporate Partnerships team.

The charity is set to build on this success and aims to continue this growth, so that we can reach more kidney patients and their families, providing critical support at a time when it is needed now more than ever.   

About the role

The Corporate Partnerships Officer will play a key role in this growth, managing and securing new corporate partnerships with support from the Corporate Partnerships Manager. Our corporate partnership income has grown from zero in 2020 to c£2.3 million in 2025. It is a very exciting time to be joining the charity and our Fundraising team.

Primarily, you will be responsible for managing your own portfolio of corporate partnerships, growing strong relationships, delivering partnership activities, and proactively securing new corporate partnerships, including charity of the year relationships. You'll further support the Corporate Partnership Manager and Director of Fundraising, Marketing and Communications as needed with key activities within larger partnerships, developing a well rounded understanding of how Kidney Care UK works in partnership. 

You will also work closely with the Events, Marketing & Communications teams to promote and support all opportunities to drive corporate income growth ensuring strong collaboration.

Key duties will include;

• Managing relationships with key contacts,

• Delivering partnership activities such as renal unit visits or training presentations to key staff,

• Delivering informative annual reports,

• Proactively secure and onboard new partnerships within your target area. 

You will do this by stewarding the significant number of existing relationships and partnerships we already hold and maximising any opportunities that exist. Alongside this, you'll be working with the Corporate Partnership Manager to manage a personal goal of generating new partnerships through proactive engagement to and through our supporters, beneficiaries, networks, and contacts.

The right candidate will have a proven record of building strong and rewarding relationships, and confidence in managing and building these relationships autonomously. You will be a driven and enthusiastic fundraiser with experience of cultivating new relationships across a range of businesses and sectors and a willingness to learn and develop your skills.

As GMYN’s Corporate Partnerships and Fundraising Lead, you will generate income from a range of philanthropic and corporate supporters. We want someone who can “sell what we do” and turn leads into impactful partnerships.

As well as building on the existing support and donor network we have, we’re looking for someone who is adept at spotting opportunities and comfortable creating new ones by making speculative approaches by phone, e-mail and in-person.

As an integral part of the Fundraising and Development team, you will work with our CEO and Head of Business Development. The postholder will bring their own ideas to drive the development of new partnerships with donors and business partners.

What you will be doing?

• Build and manage a robust pipeline of corporate and donor prospects.
• Develop, pitch and negotiate tailored partnerships, that deliver income, in-kind support, and engagement opportunities.
• Personally steward our existing portfolio of donors and supporters, to ensure long-term relationships.
• Champion youth voice in fundraising and communications, working with the participation team to co-design campaigns and engagement opportunities.
• Promote our work, impact and support opportunities through our communications channels to draw in new business and sponsorship opportunities.
• Work as part of the wider communications team. Improve fundraising, engage supporters and attract new support through creative story telling.
• Create engaging fundraising content for our audiences, including e-communications, website articles and social media posts.
• Work with the CEO and Trustees to expand GMYN’s network of Ambassadors. Opening doors to new business development opportunities, fundraising events, and corporate partnerships.
• Create and oversee fundraising events and engagement activities to enable donors to raise funds and engage with GMYN.
• Manage and monitor GMYN’s fundraising performance to ensure we have the best chance of achieving our annual targets.
• Develop annual fundraising plans working with the Head of Business Development to create a multi year strategy for growing our fundraising.

What we’re looking for:

You don't have to have worked in the voluntary youth sector previously. Our aim is to find a suitable candidate that can meet the selection criteria below. This can be from a past/current income generation/sales role, or a role with transferable skills.

More importantly we are looking for someone with genuine passion for working for a youth charity. Someone who can join our fundraising team and make a big impression, helping us to achieve our income generation goals.

We want to hire an enthusiastic person who can “sell what we do” to various donors. Someone who can maintain positive working relationships with various supporters and stakeholders.

Person Specification

• A genuine passion to help GMYN achieve its plan to engage and transform the lives of young people facing disadvantage.
• A proven track record of securing income from corporate partners and donors.
• Experience of meeting income targets in a fundraising or business development role.
• Demonstrable experience in building, managing, and growing strategic partnerships that deliver income and/or pro bono support.
• An understanding of the charity sector and/or experience in corporate fundraising.

About the role
We mobilise the PhD community to support students from less advantaged backgrounds to access the most competitive universities and succeed when they get there. We work with students who, because of their family income, parental history or the postcode they live in, are at risk of missing out on the life-changing opportunities linked to higher education.
We are excited to be recruiting a School Partnerships Officer to join the School Partnerships Team.

Your job will be to raise awareness of our programmes and transform expressions of interest into school partnerships. If you are passionate about communicating with different audiences, quickly building relationships, and meeting ambitious targets that have a huge social impact, this could be the perfect role for you.

This role will require you to become an expert on our programmes so that you can confidently discuss their features and benefits with key stakeholders. You will be comfortable in winning the confidence of head teachers and senior school leaders of prospective schools who have expressed an interest in partnering with us. This isn’t just about administering a process, it’s about understanding the needs of individual schools and how our programmes can support their priorities. You will be tenacious and empathetic in equal measure. Alongside meeting with schools and securing partnerships, you will be involved with generating interest in our programmes, via marketing campaigns and network building. You will also work to improve the efficiency of our internal systems, so teachers have the best experience communicating with us.

The role will report to the Director of School Partnerships. It can be based at either of our Brilliant Club offices, located in London and Leeds.
