The Finance Officer is responsible for supporting the delivery of accurate financial and administrative services at Support Dogs. Working closely with the Finance Manager this role ensures compliance with legislative requirements and supports the smooth operation of the charity. 

Specific Duties:

• Process orders for goods and services on behalf of the Charity ensuring that appropriate authorisation is in place
• Enter and check invoices onto Sage 50 Accounts
• Ensure that all invoices are duly paid and remittances processed
• Check and process staff and volunteer expenses
• Set up new supplier accounts and maintain existing account details within the purchase ledger
• Support the Finance Manager with payment schedules
• Manage the petty cash
• Input credit card purchases and reconcile credit card statements
• Prepare spreadsheets to enter income onto Sage and CRM, from bank statements and remittance reports from online payment platforms, ensuring that all income is correctly recorded
• Reconcile bank accounts
• Support the Finance Manager in preparation of monthly management accounts
• Respond to accounts and financial queries from staff and volunteers
• Any other duties comparable with the grade and level of responsibility of this post, for which the post holder has the necessary experience and/or training

Ideally you will have experience with managing a customer ticket system or group inbox with excellent attention to detail and an understanding of the importance of data quality.

This is an excellent entry level opportunity for a capable and proactive individual to advance their career and learn about all aspects of Supporter Care.

Minimum Essential criteria:
• Computer literate with experience using Microsoft programs such as Word and Excel
• Experience of data entry, and understanding of the importance of data quality

• Available for hybrid working, 2 days in London minimum

All other working hours can be managed with flexibility by the post holder to ensure that all administrative tasks are completed as required.

About the role

The Head of Advocacy and Influencing is a leadership role with significant responsibility for external analysis and positioning for CIUK - including through regular updates to the board Impact and Transformation Committee. The role is responsible for providing strategic direction for CIUK and CI’s advocacy and influencing and leading the team to deliver UK and globally facing advocacy campaigns. The role is responsible for ensuring high quality publications and managing sign off and profile risks as part of CIUK’s risk management strategy. The Head of Advocacy and Influencing will also act as a senior external spokesperson for the organization to the media, parliament and public events. Strategic Leadership & Delivery

Play a key role in the delivery of CIUK’s new 4-year strategy. Lead cross-organisational teams to deliver high quality policy analysis, advocacy and campaign strategies to UK government, parliamentary and private sector targets. Work with communications to design and deliver integrated campaign plans.

External representation and relationship management

Build the visibility and reputation of CIUK by building and managing key external relationships in government, parliament, private sector and across the sector, including in coalitions and alliances. Provide strategic advice on political developments, external opportunities, and risks, ensuring timely and well-informed positioning, and prepare the CEO/SLT for high-level external engagements. Serve as a senior spokesperson for CIUK in political, media, and public forums. Work with the CARE confederation to develop advocacy lines and approaches.

Thought leadership and Policy Development

Provide strategic leadership of the Gates Foundation partnership, delivering against expectations and securing further funding from this and other donors. Ensure a rigorous evidence base for CIUK’s policy agenda, both by working with CIUK’s team of thematic experts, as well as commissioning and managing research projects where needed. Prepare and approve briefings, position papers, op-eds and other communications in support of CARE UK’s influencing goals. Oversee CIUK’s strategic role in Centenary Action, including representation on the Steering Group and overall coordination. 

Team and line management

Set and drive the advocacy and influencing team’s annual plans and contribution to the organisation’s strategic priorities. Be accountable to delivering on team KPIs and organisational KPIs that link to the team’s work, and for managing the team’s budget. Play a key role in the leadership of the Programme and Policy department. Provide strong line management to direct reports and demonstrate a strong personal commitment to CIUK’s equity, diversity and inclusion goals and feminist leadership principles.

About KLS’ Future Foundations education team 

Future Foundations is an education programme of Katherine Low Settlement. Since 2004, KLS’ Future Foundations education team of 10 part-time staff and over 100 volunteers, have supported young refugees and their families in Battersea and the London Borough of Wandsworth to thrive in their education. Through mentoring, family support, casework and homework clubs, we provide the tailored support each young person and their family (if they have one) needs to overcome the barriers to education they face at home and school.

•Support staff to liaise with families/carers to communicate information regarding our work

•Support our senior case workers with weekly drop-in advice sessions at KLS, including completing forms with families, general admin tasks etc.

We are seeking an experienced and passionate VAWG Liaison Development Officer to join The Survivors Trust on secondment to the British Transport Police (BTP). In this pivotal role, you will help shape and deliver BTP’s Violence Against Women and Girls (VAWG) strategy, working alongside a domestic abuse specialist to drive meaningful cultural change across the organisation.

As part of a collaborative partnership, you will work closely with senior leaders, specialist police units, and external agencies to strengthen organisational understanding of VAWG, drive cultural change, and improve outcomes for survivors. This role offers a unique opportunity to impact national policing approaches while representing The Survivors Trust with professionalism, compassion, and expertise.

PURPOSE OF THE JOB

We’re searching for a dynamic and innovative project leader who is skilled in supporting marginalised young people and who is able to forge a new approach to meeting their needs.

Westminster City Council, Young Westminster Foundation and John Lyon’s Charity are working with DreamArts to help join up services for young people with caring responsibilities. The Carers Express Project Lead will be responsible for leading Carers Express, DreamArts flagship project for young people with caring responsibilities living or studying in Westminster.

You will be responsible for producing and delivering creative and therapeutic activities for the Juniors (7-11) and Seniors (12-18) Carers Express cohort. The project should be thought of with a strategic and long-term vision that supports young people to use creativity to explore and extend meaning to the challenges they face, build a sense of belonging with peers sharing their experience and be supported with their emotional wellbeing. This will include projects in school holidays, residentials (e.g. attending the UK Young Carers Festival) and phases of evening/weekend workshops. You will act as lead facilitator and will be supported by a freelance Wellbeing Practitioner.

You will also manage a caseload of Young Carers aged 11-16, providing 1:1 support to newly identified carers and/or young carers experiencing key life transitions, e.g., primary school to secondary school. Where possible, you will assess and respond to individual needs, build positive mentoring relationships, and signpost or refer young people to appropriate support services within DreamArts or external partner organisations. Outside of your case load, you will build relationships with all Carers Express participants and their families to sustain their engagement through regular check-ins.

The role includes training and development in therapeutic approaches applied within DreamArts, including the PACE attachment model, and you will receive regular reflection spaces with our Therapeutic Consultant to process your work and ‘therapeutic lens’ sessions exploring approaches for supporting the wellbeing needs of young people in your planning, delivery and evaluation.

MAIN ACTIVITIES/RESPONSIBILITIES​

1.  Producing, delivering and managing the ongoing Carers Express project to meet the needs and interests of Young Carer participants with a strategic and long-term vision.
2. Coordinate with facilitators and partner organisations to deliver engaging and relevant sessions. This includes conducting team planning and debriefs and working with the Young Carers Programme Manager to ensure the team has the necessary skills and training to deliver the project.
3. Ensure that Carers Express maintains a high standard of quality and is managed and delivered within the context of DreamArts Theory of Change, including implementing monitoring and evaluation systems
4. Ensure the project and its delivery are underpinned by autonomous participation and equality of opportunity. This includes engaging young people at every level of the programme, identifying and responding to their needs and interests, and positively challenging and expanding their knowledge and experience.
5. Apply a relational approach underpinned by the PACE model (Playfulness, Acceptance, Curiosity, Empathy. Training in PACE will be provided.
6. Deliver outreach activities to increase awareness and referrals to Carers Express.
7. Liaise with referral partners, including Westminster Early Help Service, schools, professionals and partners to identify Young Carers and inform them of participants’ development.
8. Lead and line-manage a Wellbeing Practitioner who will support the pastoral needs of the group.
9. Manage resources, including ensuring venues are booked and collating all expenditure receipts.
10. Implement safeguarding and welfare and ensuring the project adheres to DreamArts Safeguarding Policy.
11. Take responsibility for Health and Safety within the project, including risk assessments, incident reporting and accident reporting.
12. Provide support for young people who may be facing particular challenges. We are now seeking an outstanding Deputy Fundraising Director, Key Relationships to provide strategic leadership for this vital programme. Reporting to the Fundraising Director and managing a team of 15 (with five direct reports), the role combines high-level leadership with hands-on engagement with major donors and senior stakeholders.

This is a pivotal moment for Greenpeace UK’s Key Relationships programme. Following a period of organisational change and restructuring, the successful candidate will help strengthen the major donor and philanthropic pipeline while shaping the future direction of the programme.
