The role and its impact

This is a part-time CEO role providing hands-on leadership so CCE can deliver projects well, support volunteers, and build strong partnerships. Working with the Board, you will help move projects from early-stage development through to installation and reporting.

Key details

• Salary: £45,000 FTE pro rata (2 days/week = £18,000 per year)

• Hours: 2 days per week (flexible working pattern by agreement - evenings and weekends may be required)

• Contract: Fixed term for 12 months (with ambition to extend subject to funding)

• Location: Hybrid/home-based with regular presence in Croydon and occasional London travel

• Reporting to: Chair of the Board (accountable to the Board of Directors)

• Contract basis: Self-employed contractor. You will manage your own tax and National Insurance and invoice CCE monthly.

What you'll be working on

• Deliver CCE's strategy and Board priorities, turning plans into clear actions, timelines and decisions.

• Coordinate the solar project pipeline with the Projects Director and delivery partners (from feasibility to commissioning and post-install monitoring).

• Oversee budgets, cashflow tracking and financial reporting with the Finance Director; keep risks visible and managed.

• Develop and deliver fundraising plans (grants, sponsorship, partnerships and, where relevant, community share offers).

• Enable good governance: board papers and updates, decisions logs, AGMs and member communications where relevant.

• Support and coordinate volunteers, fostering an inclusive, motivated culture and making it easy for people to contribute.

• Build relationships with key local stakeholders and represent CCE externally when needed.

We’re ready to take our fundraising to the next level, and we’re looking for an ambitious and talented Senior Fundraising Officer to help us grow our income, develop our fundraising culture and strengthen our relationships with funders.

The primary aim of this role is to help Money and Mental Health secure the income it needs to deliver its mission and further strengthen the charity’s financial footing for the future. Key responsibilities:

Funding bids and proposals

• Draft and develop effective and impactful fundraising bids and proposals to secure both grant income and corporate sponsorship

• Project manage the process of developing funding proposals - including completing funding checklists, coordinating the team on relevant deadlines and booking in time for sign off from relevant colleagues.

Relationship management

• Play a key role in donor stewardship alongside Head of Fundraising and Senior Leadership Team (SLT), including grant makers, corporates and individual donors

• Support SLT in identifying - and building relationships with - relevant individuals within prospective funder organisations - including coordinating meetings.

• Ensure we stay on top of our grant requirements, including drafting grant reports and coordinating other team members to fulfil those requirements

• Work with External Affairs team to create excellent supporter journeys for online donors.

Pipeline development

• Work with Head of Fundraising to undertake research into new fundraising prospects and to develop a strong funder pipeline

• Stay on top of new developments in the charity sector and wider funding landscape

• Make recommendations to Head of Fundraising on new funders we should engage with or seek to build relationships with

• Maintain accurate pipeline data and prospect records, ensuring regular updates

Planning, strategy and vision

• Contribute to the delivery of our income generation strategy - including meeting relevant targets set out in the strategy.

An exciting opportunity to help turn a new national initiative into reality as it moves from planning into delivery. Role Summary

The (Senior) Communications Manager will lead the development and execution of communications to help us win our campaigns. We are looking for a proactive and hands-on team player, who will build relationships with journalists, securing media hits in top mainstream media, ensuring that communications are a strong part of our strategies to win campaigns.  While the position involves broader communications tasks, its core focus is strategic media work — driving impactful coverage, shaping narratives, and ensuring our investigative campaigns gain global visibility.

We are a small team, so this is a hands-on role with the focus on press work, but it also requires managing our key communications channels and our website. Candidate Profile

We are looking for an experienced communications professional with at least 7 years’ experience in journalism or in leading successful communications for a non-profit organisation, PR agency, or similar. Ideally, you are a creative, hands-on individual with great inter-personal skills, able to form collaborative working relationships with a variety of different stakeholders, ranging from journalists to creative agencies and our NGO partners.

What we are looking for – Skills & Experience

The successful candidate must have:

• Demonstrable experience personally leading media outreach for major investigations or campaigns, with a proven record of securing top-tier international and national coverage (e.g. Financial Times, Guardian, Reuters, AP, Bloomberg, major broadcasters).
• A strong, active network of journalist contacts, and the confidence and instinct to pick up the phone, pitch stories, brief reporters, and manage embargoed launches under tight deadlines.
• Excellent writing, editing, and storytelling skills in English, with the ability to craft sharp press materials; proficiency in additional languages is an asset.
• Experience coordinating and executing major report launches, working closely with campaigners and partners to shape narratives that cut through, develop media strategies, prepare messaging, and proactively pitch stories to journalists.
• An exceptional eye for detail and an ability to distil complex research into clear, compelling, and accessible media and social-media content.
• Strong organisational skills, with the ability to balance multiple deadlines, manage fast-moving campaigns, and perform under pressure.

We are looking for a permanent and full-time member of staff to help develop and communicate RSTMH’s role within tropical medicine and global health. We need a passionate and creative communicator who can play a key role in meeting our communications objectives. This role is office-based in central London, with the option to work from home on Mondays.

RSTMH is a membership society formed in 1907, with around 1,800 members and Fellows in over 100 countries. We work to improve tropical medicine and global health by enabling and promoting research, sharing knowledge and convening networks through our members and Fellows and beyond. The Communications Manager will have the opportunity to develop and enhance RSTMH’s reputation as a credible and trusted voice in tropical medicine and global health.

This is a wide-ranging and exciting role. You will lead on implementing the organisation’s communications strategy, working with the leadership team to ensure it meets the aims of the wider RSTMH strategy. You’ll maintain and further develop the website and social media platforms, build links with media contacts, and source, commission and develop content. The Marketing and Comms Manager will support the delivery of Ella’s integrated communications,
marketing and emerging advocacy work. This role will help to ensure Ella’s reaches and influences
external audiences effectively — raising awareness of the challenges faced by survivors,
strengthening Ella’s public profile, and increasing engagement with supporters, partners and the
wider public.

The postholder will lead our marketing and communications across digital channels, the website,
impact reporting and organisational campaigns and also play a lead role in developing and delivering
our advocacy and campaigning activity. This is a hands-on role for a keen marketer and strong
communicator motivated by social impact and ethical, survivor-centred storytelling.

Job Location: Hybrid (central London office at least 2 days per week)
Salary: £36,124 - £44,711 pro rata (depending on experience)

Job description and person specification
This is a pivotal moment for Ella's communications. We need someone ready to take the reins
of our digital presence and drive our voice forward with confidence and creativity. You'll own our
communications channels day-to-day, shaping how we show up online, how we tell survivor stories
ethically and powerfully, and how we cut through to reach the audiences that matter.
This isn't about maintaining the status quo. We're looking for someone who can elevate our content,
grow our reach, and make Ella's unmissable across digital platforms. You'll lead the charge on
building our website into a stronger resource, creating content that moves people to action, and
ensuring our impact work translates into compelling stories that resonate with supporters, funders,
and the wider public.

The Marketing and Communications Manager will:
● Lead day-to-day communications delivery across all channels, working strategically with
the fundraising and frontline teams as well as Ella’s Directors to shape compelling messaging
and content that drives engagement and positions Ella's as a leading voice in the sector
● Drive awareness and supporter growth by aligning communications and advocacy efforts
with fundraising priorities, working with fundraising colleagues to build pipelines that convert
audiences into committed supporters
● Own and deliver key communications projects including website development, the
annual Impact Report, and organisational campaigns—from strategy through to execution,
ensuring quality, impact and measurable results
● Drive and shape communications and advocacy strategy, identifying opportunities to
amplify survivor voices, influence key audiences, and build Ella's profile as a thought leader
on trafficking and exploitation issues

Key Responsibilities
Integrated communications & Marketing
● Lead the delivery of Ella’s communications and marketing strategy across digital and offline
channels.
● Create clear, compelling and consistent content that reflects Ella’s values and brand.
● Lead communications projects such as website development, the annual Impact Report and
organisational campaigns.
● Maintain shared content calendars and planning tools to ensure joined-up delivery and
integrated communications.

Digital, Website & Social Media Content
● Create and manage content for Ella’s website, ensuring it remains current,
engaging and accessible.
● Plan and create social media content in collaboration with colleagues across the organisation.
● Monitor digital performance and engagement, using insights to improve reach and impact.
Programme, Impact & Ethical Storytelling
● Work with programme teams to gather stories, outcomes and insights in an ethical,
trauma-informed way.
● Develop case studies and impact content that demonstrate Ella’s work to funders, partners
and the public.
● Ensure survivor voices are represented respectfully, safely and with consent.
Stakeholder & External Communications
● Support communications with funders, partners, supporters and wider audiences (with
particular focus on supporting the development of our individual giving programme).
● Assist with press releases, briefings and external opportunities as required.
● Ensure messaging supports both awareness-raising and the development of Ella’s supporter
pipeline.

Advocacy and Campaigning
● Support the design and delivery of Ella’s advocacy and campaigning pilot activity focused on
2–3 priority issues affecting survivors.
● Develop accessible, survivor-centred messaging that highlights systemic barriers and
opportunities for change.
● Coordinate advocacy-related content across channels, including blogs, social media,
briefings and campaign materials.
● Work with colleagues to test, monitor and refine advocacy approaches during the pilot phase
● Help document learning and recommendations to inform the future development of a
permanent advocacy function.

Monitoring, Reporting and Good Practice:
● Track communications and campaign activity and contribute to internal reporting.
● Ensure all communications comply with safeguarding, data protection and accessibility
standards.
● Maintain organised records of content, assets and approvals.

At ELHAP, we provide adventure play to hundreds of children and young people with disabilities from across East London and Essex.

The ELHAP Volunteer and Community Events Officer will play a pivotal role in enabling ELHAP to achieve its goals - helping us to reach more supporters and raise vital funds through volunteering partnerships and community fundraising events. You’ll be at the heart of building relationships, creating impact, and driving income that directly transforms the support available for children and young people with disabilities.

Reporting to the Fundraising Manager, the Volunteer and Community Events Officer will be the driving force behind volunteer recruitment, ensuring ELHAP has a thriving network of passionate, well-supported volunteers who feel valued and are making meaningful contributions to our mission. You'll manage the complete volunteer journey - from attraction and onboarding through to retention and recognition - creating rewarding experiences that keep volunteers engaged and motivated.

Alongside volunteer management, you'll take the lead in planning and executing fundraising events that bring our community together, raise vital funds, and celebrate ELHAP's work. You'll also support individuals, groups, schools, and businesses undertaking their own fundraising challenges on our behalf.
