Your Role
Help ROLDA UK build a local presence within your community by networking and growing local volunteers who are interested in animal welfare and ask them to join you.
Create new opportunities within your local community and grow a network of volunteers who can get involved in local fundraising events like charity walks, bake sales, and helping to run local stalls etc.
Inspire and encourage local volunteers to join your community group, collaborate, share ideas, and plan effective activities.
Help raise awareness about ROLDA UK within your community by recruiting for volunteers to join your hub and help build local networks.

The Wellbeing Officer (Trustee) provides information, guidance and advice to volunteers and service users around topics such as mental health and wellbeing. Additionally, if service users or volunteers have any concerns, the best point of contact is the wellbeing officer.
What do we specifically expect of this role?
● Delivery of a plan to proactively assist officers and volunteers in public-facing roles, with tools and techniques to prevent or reduce any initial harm/trauma from purposeful or accidental harmful interactions - social media, live events, outreach, panel events, etc.

How much commitment is required?

● To aim to attend all other planning meetings as necessary when close to Hidayah events as well as the events themselves (where possible due to geography);
● To help to fundraise for, and advertise, any Hidayah events and fundraising drives;

About Us
Focus Surrey runs a Saturday Club for autistic children aged 3 to 16. We provide a fun, supportive and child-centred environment where children develop communication, social interaction and early learning skills through play, guided by the principles of Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA). Sessions are led by experienced practitioners, including Board Certified Behaviour Analysts (BCBAs).
We are recruiting volunteers to join our Saturday Club and support autistic children through play-based activities. This is a great work experience opportunity for students and individuals who are interested in developing their understanding of children with disabilities and gaining meaningful experience in psychology, SEN, education, therapy or related fields. The role supports early career development by offering practical experience in a structured and supportive setting where volunteers can build foundational skills confidence and understanding
The Role
As a Volunteer Play Assistant, you will support autistic children during structured and creative play activities, helping them build communication, social interaction and confidence in a positive and inclusive environment. You will work with qualified practitioners, gaining direct experience using evidence-based approaches such as ABA in practice, while receiving ongoing support and guidance throughout the sessions.
Volunteers are allocated a specific child based on their experience and interests, allowing you to build consistency and rapport over time. The role involves active engagement with children, responding to individual needs, and contributing positively to a collaborative and supportive team environment.

At Tell My Truth and Shame the Devil C.I.C., our work depends on clarity, coordination and consistency. Operations are not just processes; they are the structure that enables people, programmes and purpose to function effectively.
The Operations Coordinator ensures that organisational activity is aligned, visible and executed efficiently in line with the organisation’s mission, safeguarding responsibilities and growth.
You will play a key role in connecting teams, workflows and systems ensuring that day-to-day operations are coordinated, accountable and sustainable as the C.I.C grow.
This is not a purely administrative role. It is coordination-driven, systems-focused and central to how the organisation delivers impact behind the scenes.

What will you be doing?
Governing bodies are responsible for the strategic management of a school and will make decisions about a wide range of issues
The core responsibilities involved are:
The governing body is usually split in to a small number of committees, each responsible for one area such as finance or pupil achievement. These committees will meet separately from the main governing body to discuss relevant issues in more detail. Discussion is then fed back at a full governing body meeting.
A school governing body is made up of representatives from the school, the parents, the local authority and the local community.
What are we looking for?
You don’t need any specific skills or experience to be a school governor. You must be over 18, but you don’t need to be a parent or have experience working in education. Often, it’s the outside perspective you can bring that a school needs.
Professional experience in areas such as HR, finance, law, or project management are all useful to a school. But soft skills such as leadership, communication, and problem solving are also great additions.
What difference will you make?
Governors make decisions that affect schools for years to come. Our recent impact survey found that our volunteers bring £9.9 million worth of value to schools each year, and 9/10 volunteers would recommend being a governor to a friend.
As a governor, you can visit the school to gain an understanding of the culture and ethos and to get the most out of the role. You’ll also have the opportunity to meet children, parents, and teachers, and see the impact of your work first-hand.

Role Purpose
This is a senior volunteer leadership role designed to provide strategic and operational resilience across the department.
The Deputy Head works across both the Ethics Team and the Research Reporting Team, ensuring that ethical standards, research integrity and high‑quality reporting are upheld across all departmental activity.

Role Requirements (Deputy Head)
Given the seniority and responsibility of this volunteer role, the following experience is required:
A PhD is required, along with postdoctoral research experience, or significant academic or practical research experience at an equivalent level, demonstrating advanced expertise in research design, ethics, governance or reporting.
Substantial experience in research ethics, research governance or research leadership, ideally across multiple projects or teams.
Experience in strategic planning, departmental oversight or senior‑level decision‑making, whether in a volunteer, academic or professional context.
A strong track record of ethical decision‑making, particularly in roles where judgement, integrity and risk assessment were central.
Experience with research reporting, research communication or academic publication processes is highly beneficial.
A strong interest in ethical governance, research integrity and maintaining high standards across research projects.
Familiarity with GDPR and responsible data management practices, or willingness to develop this knowledge quickly.
Experience working with volunteers or mixed‑experience teams is advantageous.
