Job description

Would you like to work in a friendly, welcoming organisation where your contribution will be both valued and valuable?

Can you provide strategic vision and direction for a therapeutic and clinical supervision team?

Are you a registered and accredited member of BACP or IAPT?

Do you hold a Certificate in Therapeutic Counselling Supervision level 6 (CPCAB)?

Do you hold a full driving licence and have access to a car during working hours, and can you travel across Hertfordshire and Bedfordshire?

This is an exciting opportunity to really make a difference to the lives of people who will benefit most. As Head of Therapeutic and Counselling Services you will lead the counselling, play therapy and clinical supervision activities across Hertfordshire and Bedfordshire initially with the intention to develop into Buckinghamshire over time. You will work among friendly, supportive colleagues who will value your contributions and leadership.

The primary focus of the role is to oversee and manage the therapeutic delivery of counselling services through paid, training and volunteer counsellors so that services are of an excellent standard and are delivered within BACP ethical frameworks plus all relevant statutory regulations.

You will provide strategic vision and direction for the therapeutic and clinical supervision team in line with YMCAs mission and to support the Mission 25 concepts as well as leading on the identification of suitable funding opportunities and grant applications.

Working hours:

There will be some evening and or weekend work, including being on call as Designated Safeguarding Person.

This role is offered as full-time but we are willing to consider applications for part-time working at 30 hours per week (i.e. 80%, or four days equivalent). These hours could be worked flexibly across either four or five days per week. If this interests you, please ensure you state this in the Supporting Information box when you apply, and mention any restrictions on your availability during your week.

HOW TO APPLY:

Please read the attached job description carefully before applying.

You should take care to clearly explain your suitability and qualifications for this role in the Supporting Information box when you apply on One YMCA's website, by reference to our job description.

An Enhanced Disclosure check is required for this role.
