Charity People are thrilled to be working with a health related charity who helping people living with a condition to regain confidence through workshops and community-based services. The charity have been around for over thirty years and have carried out some incredible work over this time. This is an exciting time to join this charity as they are going through a period of significant growth and are seeking a proactive and motivated Fundraising Officer to support the expansion of their individual giving and challenge events programmes.
This is a fantastic opportunity for anyone with fundraising experience, you can really make this role your own and see the benefits day to day of the work the charity carries out. This role requires a self-starter, who can use their initiative to take charge and go out to achieve their fundraising activities. In this role, you will steward individual donors and event participants, develop supporter journeys, donor engagement, create engaging communications, and use data insights to strengthen engagement and retention. You will manage online fundraising platforms, support key fundraising campaigns, and play an important part in delivering their charity events. You will also collaborate closely with the Head of Fundraising, Marketing and Communications and help ensure accurate supporter data is maintained.
I'm looking for someone with sound fundraising experience, strong organisation and communication skills, and a confident, positive approach. Experience with individual giving, supporter journeys and charity CRM's is essential.
This role is initially a temporary role with the expectation to become permanent to the successful postholder fairly quickly. There is an urgent need for someone to be in post, so we are looking to move fast, with interviews week commencing the 16th February, and starting soon after.

What you'll be doing:
ABEC – Strategic & operational leadership
- Lead the delivery of ABEC’s Business Plan, working closely with the Managing Director.
- Drive new business and market development, identifying emerging opportunities in consultancy and nature markets.
- Optimise project management systems (including SCORO) to lift efficiency, productivity and financial insight.
- Oversee contract delivery to ensure projects are completed on time, within scope and to the highest quality.
- Monitor and report on organisational performance indicators, business plan progress and risk management.
- Lead integration of digital systems (SCORO, COREO, CRM, mapping, Natural Capital platforms).
- Align resources, processes and capacity to ensure successful delivery of contracted work.
- Build and maintain strong strategic client relationships.
- Line manage and develop your team, embedding a high-performance culture and clear KPIs.
KWT Group – Cross-organisational impact
- Work with the Chief Operating Officer to ensure financial quality, strategic alignment and delivery assurance for ABEC’s income-generating activity.
- Support or lead on group-wide projects (ensuring no conflict of interest with ABEC delivery).
- Help deliver income targets, including Nature-Based Solutions.
- Audit and review systems and processes across the Group to improve efficiency, integration and return on investment.
- Support group-wide resource planning and operational effectiveness.
- Foster positive working relationships and champion KWTG’s culture and values.

AAFDA was founded by Frank Mullane in memory of his sister Julia Pemberton and her son Will who were both killed by her ex-partner in 2003.
Each year, around 150 families lose a loved one to domestic homicide. The actual number of suicides as a result of domestic abuse remains unknown. Most of these families suffer significant problems including relationship breakdown, job difficulties/loss and mental and physical health issues. We help these families in many ways, our prime function being to provide families in England, Wales and Northern Ireland with specialist peer support and expert and specialist advocacy for the range of statutory reviews that will take place after domestic homicide.
AAFDA (Advocacy After Fatal Domestic Abuse) is a growing Charity and to meet the demands we are looking for a specialist Advocate for Scotland. Although home based, some travel will be required - frequency will be commensurate to the role. We welcome applications from candidates with experience of domestic abuse. Our Specialist Advocates support families impacted by fatal domestic abuse through provision of lay advocacy, for and on behalf of, families with a range of statutory service providers (e.g. those conducting reviews and inquiries, social services, police, housing) and work to build good relations between all parties. To ensure that families get the support they need, you will use AAFDA’s Home Office endorsed seven-step approach to working with individuals and families, to ensure that they receive the best possible support and advocacy to restore dignity and relief for families and to help them cope and recover. Through trauma-informed approaches, you will:
· Listen to families and advocate for them in a complex system that too often treats them as passive participants and overlooks the value of their insight.
· Provide information, support, guidance, advice and advocacy on Domestic Homicide & Suicide Reviews (DHSR’s) and other reviews where relevant and appropriate.
· Manage families’ expectations of the legal and procedural processes facing them by supporting families in meetings with agencies such as health, police and local authorities.
· Give families practical help on a wide range of issues - including help with letter writing or advocating with employers and local authorities on the families’ behalf.
· Support AAFDA in our bringing families together in AAFDA’s peer support events, such as the Hear Our Voice weekend and the on-line peer support Zoom sessions, where families can speak with others to share their experiences and stories. This will involve occasional evening work.

We’re creating a new team, with a new remit, to take on a new challenge: driving our work across brand, income generation, marketing, communications and engagement so that more greyhounds can be supported, homed and championed.
As Head of Marketing, Communications and Income Generation, you’ll build and lead a compact, hands-on, multi-disciplinary team, bringing together specialist skills and embedding genuinely integrated, collaborative ways of working. What you'll be doing:
The Director of Fundraising is a senior, strategic leadership role responsible for driving significant and sustainable growth in income for MQ, with a target of achieving £10 million annual turnover over the next five years.
As a member of the Executive Leadership Team, the postholder will set and deliver an ambitious, data-led fundraising strategy across philanthropy, trusts and foundations, partnerships and other income streams. They will personally steward high-value relationships while building a high-performing, commercially minded fundraising function capable of supporting MQ’s long-term mission.
Key Responsibilities:
Fundraising Strategy & Income Growth
- Develop and deliver MQ’s overall fundraising and income generation strategy, aligned to organisational priorities
- Set clear income targets and KPIs across all fundraising streams
- Personally lead and secure six- and seven-figure gifts, grants and contracts
- Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with major donors, funders and partners
