The Sporting Events Team at Alzheimer’s Research UK (ARUK) is responsible for securing income from individuals taking on sporting challenges and effectively managing relationships to maximise income.
As Sporting Events Administrator, you will play a significant part in contributing to a high-performing fundraising team. You will work closely with the Sporting Event Managers (SEM) and Sporting Event Officers (SEO) to drive the continued growth of the charity’s sporting event fundraising income. You will also be required to show excellent organisation and relationship-building skills to support supporters.

Main duties and responsibilities of the role:

· Build and manage relationships with prospective and current sporting fundraising supporters through prompt, helpful, professional and friendly contact.
· Taking the opportunity to maximise income and long-term support with every fundraising supporter, suggesting ARUK fundraising products where appropriate.
· Schedule and deliver stewardship good luck calls for all portfolio sporting eventers.
· Drafting prompt, professional thank you letters and certificates to fundraising supporters.
· Fundraising data management includes adding new constituents to the fundraising database (Salesforce), ensuring details are accurately recorded and maintained and that supporters are appropriately thanked.
· Manage external lead generation platforms (e.g., Let's Do This) to identify, contact, and convert potential participants into supporters, ensuring consistent and timely engagement.
· Managing emails sent to sporting events inbox.
Events Support
· Support in the effective delivery of sporting fundraising events for ARUK.
· May include relationship management with Third-Party event providers.
· Attendance of weekend events where necessary.

Job Purpose:
The purpose of this role is to support the Governance and Events Team by undertaking events related operations for the 39th WAGGGS World Conference (taking place in June 2026), and any other WAGGGS events as needed.
The 39th WAGGGS World Conference is a four-day event that will take place in Cambodia in June 2026 in partnership with the host organisation, the Girl Guides Association of Cambodia. This is the main platform for decision-makers in our 153 Member Organisations to gather for networking, learning and consultation on the direction of the Movement. A pre-event for youth attendees under the age of 30 will take place before the conference.
About the Role:
This role operates within a volunteer-led global charitable organisation with 153 Member Organisations. It provides the inspiration, knowledge and direction to continually protect and enhance WAGGGS’ rich legacy and expand its collective reach and impact. You'll have the opportunity to collaborate with staff, volunteers, and attendees from across our Movement - each bringing their own unique perspectives and experiences.
Key Responsibilities:

Be responsible for maintaining the registration site and event website (using the events management software, Cvent) including individual event databases, providing reports as required and ensuring good communication with participants via email.

Provide administrative and logistical support for all aspects of online and in-person Event Management. This includes assisting volunteers and staff with registration and platform issues, and, if appropriate, travel arrangements and accommodation.

Ensure internal and external communications with Member Organisations, participants, staff members and volunteers and event suppliers are timely, relevant and of a high quality.

We are seeking an enthusiastic team administrator to join our small, friendly and relaxed team at SCONUL, the professional association for academic and research libraries. The team currently works one to two days a week from our modern offices close to Euston station and the remainder of the week from home.

Reporting to the Project Manager and working closely with the Project Manager and SCONUL Co-ordinator, the successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Organising the schedule of meetings for the SCONUL Board and SCONUL working Groups.
- Managing the diary of the Executive Director.
- Supporting the delivery of the SCONUL Access Scheme including:
- answering routine queries from Access Scheme users, applicants and university administrators
- providing SCONUL Access contacts with timely and relevant information about the scheme
- providing routine technical support to applicants and university contacts responsible for processing applications and refer potentially more complex or disruptive technical problems
- drafting changes to website content to reflect the scheme’s current practice and procedures.
- Supporting the delivery of SCONUL events including:
- drafting and following up invitations to speakers and other participants with support from the Project Manager
- managing and processing events registrations
- booking accommodation and travel arrangements when required
- production of event documentation
- helping to manage events on site, including briefing and managing colleagues, volunteers, and external suppliers, supporting, advising and directing event participants.
- Processing invoices and other office paperwork.
- Answering general queries from members and students phoned into the office.
- Uploading content onto the SCONUL website and helping keep the content up to date.
Skills and experience required

We’re looking for a proactive and professional Events and Administration Officer to play a central role in the delivery of our events programme and in keeping our busy office running smoothly. What you’ll be doing
As our Events and Admin Officer, you’ll be at the heart of our operations. Your responsibilities will include:
- Events: Helping to plan and deliver a wide range of events – from breakfast briefings and online panel discussions to gala dinners – ensuring every detail runs smoothly. This will include liaising with suppliers, venues, speakers, and sponsors; coordinating catering and logistics; supporting event promotion; and overseeing attendee communications and requirements.
- CRM & Data: Acting as a Hubspot ‘super-user’, ensuring our CRM is effectively maintained to manage stakeholders, track engagement, and support compliance.
- Meetings: Coordinating internal and external meetings, including diary management for the senior team and producing accurate records.
- Enquiries: Serving as the first point of contact for shared inboxes, responding and redirecting queries efficiently.
- Office & Admin: Supporting office operations, liaising with landlords and suppliers, assisting with finance queries, and ensuring our day-to-day administration runs seamlessly.
- Projects: Assisting with proposition development and project delivery, keeping accurate records and chasing actions.
- General: Providing all-round support to ensure the smooth running of the organisation.
What we’re looking for
We’re seeking someone who is:
- Educated to at least A-Level (or equivalent) with an administrative or operational focus.
- Professional, approachable, and confident in communicating with people at all levels.
- Experienced in event management and administration.
- Skilled in budget tracking, on-the-day event management, and post-event reporting.
- Organised, with excellent attention to detail and strong time-management skills.
- Competent in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and experienced with CRM and e-marketing platforms (ideally Hubspot).
- Proactive, adaptable, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Aligned with our collaborative culture and values.
It would be great if you also bring:
- Familiarity with platforms like Zoom, Eventbrite, and Ticket Tailor.
- Experience using professional social media (particularly LinkedIn) for events and communications.

About The Role
You will play a key role in ensuring the service complies with contract requirements and meets KPIs. Your focus will be to providing administrative and office support to ensure the most effective delivery of Helpline Plus telephone casework services and undertaking administrative projects to improve systems and practice for the benefit of staff and clients. You will also input data on our CRM system and have extensive telephone contact with clients, so good verbal communication skills and a commitment to excellent customer service are essential.
About You
You will have considerable experience in a client/customer service role and experience in handling incoming calls and making outbound calls to clients and partner organisations. About The Team
Helpline Plus telephone Casework team is a team of experienced specialist housing and debt advisers. We have four teams of advisers based in Shelter’s Sheffield office. We work with multiple external referral partner organisations to achieve the best possible outcomes for our clients.
Helpline Plus provides legal advice and casework to enforce the rights of homeless people and assists those facing possession action or orders for sale to remain in their homes. We negotiate with councils, lenders and landlords to try to prevent court action.
Due to the nature of the service we can provide prompt access and may take on emergency cases, in particular to people who are beyond the reach of face to face services.

The Royal Commonwealth Society is seeking a highly organised, proactive, and experienced events manager to lead the planning and execution of its diverse portfolio of high-profile and fundraising events. The postholder will manage the full lifecycle of events - from concept through delivery - ensuring every event reflects the Society’s values and enhances its reputation and reach.
Flagship events include the Commonwealth Day Service at Westminster Abbey, an Award Ceremony for The Queen’s Commonwealth Essay Competition at Buckingham Palace, the High Commissioners’ Banquet at Mansion House, and other ceremonial, stakeholder, youth, and fundraising engagements.
Key responsibilities:
- Lead the end-to-end management of all RCS events, ensuring the successful delivery of high-profile, ceremonial, and fundraising events.

We are looking for an experienced and customer-focused administrator to lead on the administration of the CLPE Learning Programme, which includes courses that take place both in person at the Centre and online as well as INSET training and consultancy delivered at other locations around the country. You will also be part of the Centre’s administration team to support the day-to-day running of the Centre and help us ensure that everyone who works in and visits our Centre is well looked after and has a fantastic experience. This will include providing reception cover, greeting visitors, answering phones, supporting tenants and event bookings, and providing general admin support to the team based at the Centre.
You will be based at our beautiful Grade 2 listed building in Southwark. Your usual working hours will be 2pm to 6pm to provide Centre admin cover during this time, but this role will also require occasional evening or weekend working to fulfil event commitments, and flexibility to provide cover for staff leave. Due to the nature of your duties, and fixed hours, this role is not suitable for flexible or home working.
Our Centre houses an amazing collection of 25,000 children’s books as well as being a training and event centre for teachers, publishers and everyone else who works with children’s literature and cares about children’s literacy.
This is an extremely interesting and varied job. As well as working closely with our teaching team, responding to enquiries and bookings, and arranging logistics for courses and events taking place at the Centre, you might also be supporting our librarian with a book launch, welcoming our trustees to a meeting, or looking after a famous children’s author.
