What You’ll Be Doing
- Collaborating across the Charity and the hospital to identify opportunities where patient and supporter stories can amplify fundraising and awareness.
- Interviewing patients, families, and supporters to create powerful stories for fundraising materials, campaigns, and digital platforms.

Part time Director of Communications and Marketing
Contract: Permanent role
Hours: Part time, 21 hours per week

The Director of Communications and Marketing will combine strategic leadership with a readiness to get hands-on where needed, building sustainable systems, processes, and team capacity that set Back Up to achieve long-term success.
Your core responsibilities will include:
* Building on existing plans develop and deliver a comprehensive 2030 communications and marketing strategy aligned with organisational and departmental plans.

- Knowledge of perpetrators abusive behaviours within relationships, including family relationships, male victims and same sex relationships.
- Knowledge and understanding of safeguarding issues and ability to address them appropriately.

About the role
The Restart Project is a year into our five year strategy. We have a bold vision, clear finance and communications strategies and an outline fundraising strategy, developed with support from our trustees. Our vision and track-record has helped us to secure a number of multi-year grants, and now is the time to build on this work.
We’re looking for a driven, organised and creative Fundraising and Partnerships Lead to help us diversify our income, expand our funding relationships, and build on our financial sustainability. With a focus on generating income from corporate partnerships and Trust and Foundation fundraising, you will also support our efforts to generate income from a diverse range of areas.
You will build out our pipeline of funding leads, including building and managing new and existing relationships. Much of this will include securing funding from traditional sources and supporting efforts to boost unrestricted income.

Summary and key purpose
This new role will be primarily responsible for developing, marketing and managing our individual giving together with working across other fundraising disciplines. You will be a key member of our fundraising team, producing compelling fundraising communications, stewarding individual donors, including regular donors and gifts in memory. You will ensure that our donors receive excellent care.
Our Individual Giving programme will incorporate one-off donations, regular giving, digital fundraising, appeals and in-memory giving. You will do this, with the support of our recently appointed fundraising agency, who you will manage our relationship with week by week.
A critical element of the role will be how we market ourselves to potential new donors, taking them on an emotional engagement journey in order to solicit regular gifts.
Your expertise and skills:
To excel in this role, you will need prior experience of working in a fundraising setting, with an understanding of good stewardship practices. You should be a self-starter who thrives in a dynamic environment, working across teams and meeting multiple deadlines. Your excellent relationship management skills will enable you to effectively communicate with a diverse range of stakeholders and gather information on new projects. You must have a thorough understanding of individual giving, developing donor journeys and experience of work with agencies.
Key responsibilities:
- Day-to-day management of the regular giving programme, project managing appeals and overseeing the thanking process for individual donors.
- Create, plan, deliver and evaluate multi-channel, compliant, insight-led, supporter-centric campaigns to engage and drive action from new and existing supporters.

About the role
We are seeking a transformational and visionary Chief Executive Officer (“CEO”) to lead a national youth focused organisation, dedicated to promoting peer-led early intervention support for those in need. The successful candidate will be the first employed leader, propelling Youth4Youth from its robust foundations to the next stages of its development. The CEO will be responsible for turning our recently developed, yet ambitious, strategy into reality. This role provides an exceptional opportunity to make a significant and lasting impact from the outset.
Youth4Youth has secured funding to appoint a CEO for one year, with the expectation that the appointed leader will focus on securing long-term sustainable funding, thereby transitioning this position into a permanent role at the end of the fixed-term period. Additionally, the CEO will facilitate the appointment of further roles to support our mission as further funding becomes available.

Working location: mostly remote work with some travel required. BACKGROUND
Ashiana is a ‘by and for’ women led BME VAWG service with 30 years’ experience in delivering a holistic range of specialist services to South Asian, Turkish and Middle Eastern women affected by Violence Against Women & Girls (VAWG).
OUR SERVICES
Ashiana runs three refuges with a total of 29 bedspaces; specifically for women aged 16-35 fleeing forced marriage. This multi award winning project is the only service of its kind in the UK and is highly innovative in terms of addressing an area of significant need not met in other refuge provision. Within these refuges we designate a number of bedspaces for women with no recourse to public funds. We offer an advice and support service to women and girls who are experiencing VAWG, enabling them to make informed decisions and exit violent relationships. We provide a legal service supporting women with no recourse to public funds to help resolve their immigration status.
Counselling is offered for women and girls affected by VAWG. The counselling service works from an integrative stance, with the focus of providing a holistic service whereby we also work alongside other services and provide specialist domestic violence group work. The emphasis of therapeutic work with our clients is from a trauma informed model.
We also deliver an education programme for young people in secondary schools in East London aimed at preventing domestic violence and enabling young people experiencing domestic violence to access appropriate services. The prevention service includes delivering a whole school approach in schools to young people as well as group work to women and girls across North East London boroughs as well as community engagement activities and delivery. We deliver a range of awareness raising workshops for young people in the community and training on domestic violence for professionals in the voluntary and statutory sector.
PRIMARY TASK:
The post is instrumental in overseeing the delivery of a comprehensive package of services and care for women in our refuges. To provide a safe environment and a service that is appropriate to the needs of young BME women particularly those from South Asian, Turkish and Middle Eastern communities and to support ex-clients following resettlement.
The post holder will have a caseload of clients and be responsible for providing advice, advocacy, casework and support to women and girls, advocating on behalf of these women and making others aware of their particular needs. The post-holder is required to demonstrate sensitivity and an awareness of the culture and needs of minoritised communities in all aspects of their duties and responsibilities.

Responsibilities of our Cloud Engineer:
- Design, deploy, and maintain scalable, secure, and cost-effective Azure cloud solutions
- Ensure high performance, resilience, and compliance across the Azure environment
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align cloud infrastructure with organisational needs
- Optimize Azure services including compute, storage, networking, and identity management
- Lead Cloud migration initiatives, including planning and execution
- Implement and maintain robust security controls across the Azure environment
- Develop and manage automated deployment pipelines using Infrastructure as Code
- Stay abreast of Azure platform updates, emerging services and best practices
About the IT team:
You’ll join a team of 6 people within the Infrastructure team. The wider IT and Governance team is around 42 people. The IT Infrastructure and Support team ensures the organisation’s technology environment is secure, reliable, and efficient by managing networks, servers, storage, and cloud platforms, implementing robust security and disaster recovery measures, and monitoring performance. They provide end-to-end support through service desk operations, technical troubleshooting, and application maintenance, while collaborating with stakeholders to deliver scalable solutions aligned with business needs. Their role also includes driving operational continuity, compliance, and continuous improvement to enable seamless service delivery and future-ready infrastructure.
What we’re looking for in our Cloud Engineer:
- Extensive hands-on experience designing, deploying, and managing solutions in Microsoft Azure, as well as Microsoft Azure Certification
- Experience leading cloud migration projects
- Experience with Microsoft Defender and implementing security standards and access controls
- Skilled in scripting and automation using PowerShell or Azure CLI
- Experience in Infrastructure as Code tools and templates to automate resource deployment
- Understanding of Azure DevOps to build and manage automated deployment pipelines
- Exceptional problem-solving and advanced troubleshooting skills
- Demonstrated commitment to continuous learning and staying current with Azure updates
- Strong understanding of Azure networking, security features, governance and best practice
- Deep expertise in core Azure services
