Spectra are looking for a Senior Trust Fundraiser, focussing on larger trusts, to join a growing fundraising team with exciting plans. You will contribute to raising the income required to continue delivering counselling, advocacy, mentoring, outreach, groups and other support services at Spectra, and work with a team to implement a new fundraising plan. You will report the Fundraising Manager. 

You will be confident working with diverse and intersectional groups who face social exclusion and inequalities around access to appropriate health care, wellbeing and holistic support. You will be able unequivocally to respect, support, promote and work within LGBTQ+ and other diverse communities.

£36,000 pro rata, 3 days per week.  Hybrid working (office in Ladbroke Grove) with 25 days holiday and bank holidays (pro rata), plus a pension scheme. 

About the Role

There are 1.4 million primary-aged children growing up in poverty in the UK, and we are currently only working with a fraction of them. We have grown rapidly over the last few years and are now looking to recruit a Fundraising Manager who can help take our fundraising work to the next level.

The Fundraising Manager will work with the team to drive Learning with Parents’ fundraising strategy. Their primary focus will be on strengthening our existing corporate partnerships pipeline, and managing new and existing corporate relationships. They will continue to develop and adapt the Learning with Parents proposition for corporate partnerships ensuring partnerships deliver mutual benefits and maximise impact on our shared mission. 

The Fundraising Manager will also support our work with High Net Worth Individuals and Trust and Foundations. Their responsibilities will also include line management of our Fundraising and Operations Officer to achieve their aims and objectives.

The Fundraising Manager will represent Learning with Parents at external fundraising and networking events to raise our profile, build relationships and promote parental engagement in the charitable and education sectors.

Areas of Responsibility

Building a pipeline of corporate partners

• Working closely with Learning with Parents’ CEO and COO, research, qualify and prioritise prospects to create a buoyant pipeline.

• Maintain and update the prospect pipeline. 

• Engage with and cultivate potential corporate partners to develop meaningful collaborations with shared goals.

Stewarding new and existing funders

• Writing and submitting applications to corporate foundations and other trusts and foundations.

• Manage and steward Learning with Parents’ corporate partners, trust and foundations and other donors.

• Fulfil any donor due diligence requirements. 

• Draft compelling update reports and other written materials as required.

Feeding into the fundraising strategy 

• Input into Learning with Parents’ fundraising strategy.

• Feed into discussions around what the Fundraising team should look like as the organisation grows.

Responding to new opportunities

• Engage with new fundraising opportunities such as Awards and connections with High Net Worth Individuals (HNWIs). 

• Develop and adapt Learning with Parents’ proposition for corporate partners, ensuring partnerships deliver mutual benefits and maximise impact of our shared mission. 

• Represent Learning with Parents at external fundraising and networking to raise our profile.

• Update Learning with Parents’ case for support and other fundraising resources to meet new funding needs and opportunities.

Line Management

• Directly line manage Learning with Parents’ Fundraising and Operations Officer to achieve their goals and objectives.

About You 

Experience within a similar role, or within the charity sector, would be great. However, we know that a lot of the most important skills in this role are transferable from jobs in other sectors, such as relationship development, account management and business development. We want the right person and we will invest in training the right candidate as necessary.

About the role 
We are looking for someone who wants to make a real and lasting difference to people’s lives, taking the lead on generating the income required to deliver the Farm’s services and maintain our central functions and infrastructure. With support from the Farm’s Director, who is an experienced fundraiser, you will develop and implement the fundraising strategy for the Farm, leading on the delivery of key activities, initiatives and opportunities. 

You will confidently take on the leadership of the Farm’s well-established fundraising from trusts and foundations, growing our unrestricted income base and attracting multi-year funding to support our projects. Your experience will also enable you to take the lead on establishing a new individual giving programme for the Farm, creating and implementing a stewardship strategy alongside the Marketing, Events & Communications Operational Manager. We anticipate that the postholder will spend 75% of their time managing and growing our existing trusts and foundations portfolio and 25% on building a new individual giving programme. We are looking for someone with experience (or demonstrable transferable skills and knowledge) and a willingness to work on both areas.

Account Management

• Through strategic research, identify and prioritise potential national trust and foundations (in collaboration with air ambulance charity members), with the ability to give significant grants through partnership working.
• Creation and development of national fundraising proposals and stewardship reports, applying a creative approach where possible.
• Create engaging assets for applications and compelling pitches, delivering pitch presentations virtually and in person.
• Lead on research and applications for agreed national prospects, building long-term relationships with key contacts at prospective partners.
• Work with air ambulance charity members to identify projects and opportunities for national funding from trusts and foundations.

Job Background

In this pivotal role UKHarvest is seeking a strategic Head of Fundraising to lead the charity’s efforts in generating vital financial support and building meaningful relationships with donors, partners, and stakeholders. You will have a proven track record designing and implementing fundraising strategies that achieve revenue targets and have the charity’s ethos at the heart of everything you do.

Main Objectives

With responsibility for the Fundraising at UKHarvest, the post holder will:

• Research and manage a pipeline of trusts and foundation applications that offer restricted and unrestricted funding.
• Write applications, using information and expertise from colleagues as necessary.
• Identify new fundraising opportunities from a range of sources, including national and local government; individual supporters and commercial opportunities.
• Organise, plan and implement a fundraising strategy, yet be flexible enough to adapt to changing priorities and deliver against tight deadlines when required.
• Lead and manage the process of reporting to existing funders and Trustees.
• Nurturing relationships with existing supporters and partners.

Required experience

The successful applicant will have at least 5 years fundraising experience as a Head of Fundraising, managing and leading a fundraising team. A strategic thinker with the ability to identify opportunities, set priorities and drive results, you will have experience in developing and sustaining funding streams using a variety of techniques to secure restricted and unrestricted funding, major gifts, grants, events, and corporate partnerships; combined with exceptional communication skills to engage and inspire donors, volunteers and stakeholders. You will be able to motivate and develop a high performing team, set targets, and promote a collaborative culture. You will care about social justice, environmental sustainability and food waste as these pillars underpin all UKHarvest activities. The role will be predominantly based in the UKHarvest Chichester Hub with regular visits to the Nourish Hub in London.

Fundraising and Engagement Manager

About the Role

The Fundraising and Engagement Manager is a brand-new role which will lead in developing and delivering the fundraising strategy in line with the Foxton Centres' Business Plan. Working alongside the senior leadership team and service managers you'll support researching and compiling funding applications to trusts, foundations and public sources as well as building relationships with businesses and individuals who want to support the vital work the Foxton Centre carries out.

About You:

The Client Services team is looking for an account executive to build and manage relationships with clients and help them to deliver exceptional supporter-led fundraising. You will be an experienced account executive or account manager working with outsourced business processes for a minimum of 2 years.

You will need to have strong organisation and communication skills, experience of managing workflows, and a high level of emotional intelligence. You’ll also need an eye for detail; be able to meet deadlines; have excellent written skills; and be a great communicator and able to form relationships with staff and clients. It’ll help if you’re technically savvy and able to keep on top of our clients’ needs.

The Client Services team is looking for an account executive to build and manage relationships with clients and help them to deliver exceptional supporter-led fundraising.

Main responsibilities:

• Develop strong relationships with clients and proactively keep in regular contact, particularly by phone and in person

• Reporting to clients on the performance of their campaign and being a point of contact for clients during their campaigns

• Liaising between the client, the client services director and the operations team

Due to continued growth within our Community & Events team, an exciting opportunity has arisen for a new Bespoke Events Fundraising Officer, as we seek to scale up and take our in-house mass participation events to the next level, here at Crohn’s & Colitis UK.

You would be joining a small, tight-knit team, harnessing your passion for designing and delivering exceptional, engaging events (whether virtually or in-person).

About you:

We’re looking for an experienced events fundraiser or someone with substantial experience in a comparable transferable field, with experience in project management and the end-to-end development and delivery of events.

You’ll be a confident communicator with strong marketing experience and focused on exceptional supporter experience whilst being accomplished at building great relationships with a variety of internal and external stakeholders.

Combined with excellent organisation and time management skills and the ability to manage competing priorities whilst keeping to deadlines, you’ll bring your knowledge, creativity and new ideas to help continue to shape the future of our Bespoke Events team.

You will be adept at using data and insight to identify potential areas of growth and be a proactive self-starter, responsible for the end-to-end development and delivery of the events you manage and be comfortable analysing performance and making recommendations for change where necessary.

Crohn’s & Colitis UK is a truly flexible employer. Getting the right person for the role is more important than where you live. Attendance is required at our Hatfield based Head Office for All Staff meetings (currently run quarterly) and a minimum of 2 days per month.

Salary - £30,000 to £35,000

Hours – 35 per week

Annual Leave – 25 days excluding bank holidays (this increases by 1 day for each year worked up to a total of 30 days)

LTSB has grown significantly over the past few years. Our work is only possible with the generosity and commitment of our supporters. You will be joining our fantastic Fundraising team who work with trusts, foundations, institutions, companies, and individuals to ensure the charity has the funds and relationships necessary to achieve our aims.

This role will be responsible for managing existing corporate partnerships, developing new corporate relationships, and developing and delivering an events programme. Events is a relatively new area for the charity and we anticipate the events programme will, in the main, support our corporate partnerships and provide a varied package of engagement opportunities for our growing base of employee volunteers. These, and other events, will help raise vital funds as well as networking and new business development opportunities. 

We’re looking for someone who has experience of a similar role/s. You will have great people skills and have experience of building and maintaining strong relationships. You will be enthusiastic, energetic and with a can-do attitude who enjoys planning and organising and is not phased with periods of high intensity. You will have a positive approach and enjoy working as part of a team. 

As we all work remotely, you will also need to be a self-starter and able to work independently. You must be based in one of our 4 hub cities: London, Birmingham, Manchester or Liverpool. The post holder will need a thorough understanding and commitment to LTSB’s vision, mission, and work.
