This role sits at the heart of Operation Smile UK’s five-year strategy to deliver transformational growth across all income streams. As Senior Lead - Acquisition and Digital Fundraising, you will be instrumental in delivering on three of our four core strategic priorities:
- Build Regular Giving – laying the foundation for higher long-term value and stronger ROI across acquisition channels.
- Drive All Donors to Legacy – recruiting quality donors who have the potential value to feed into legacy and long-term giving goals.
- Maximise Growth Through Digital Fundraising Integration – leading the expansion and optimisation of digital acquisition within a cohesive fundraising strategy
The Senior Lead - Acquisition & Digital Fundraising role is responsible for delivering Operation Smile UK’s strategic individual giving acquisition programme. This role is key to driving income growth and expanding our supporter base across multiple channels, including digital, DRTV, dialogue fundraising and print.
You will lead the strategy, planning, delivery and evaluation of acquisition campaigns, including the onboarding process, with full accountability for managing significant budgets, agency partnerships and performance metrics. This is a senior, hands-on role suited to an experienced acquisition fundraiser with strong commercial acumen and a data-driven mindset.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Campaign Leadership
- Develop and implement the multi-channel acquisition strategy, aligned with income targets and supporter growth objectives.
- Lead on the planning and delivery of campaigns across direct dialogue, digital, DRTV, and print channels.
- Lead on the planning and delivery of the onboarding process for all new recruits.
- Monitor and report on campaign performance, providing insight-driven recommendations to optimise results.
- Drive testing and innovation to expand existing channels and introduce new ones within acceptable risk and return parameters.
Budget Ownership & Performance Monitoring
- Take full responsibility for acquisition budget management, income forecasting and cost control.
- Set, monitor, and evaluate key performance indicators (KPIs), reporting against ROI, CPA, and long-term value across all acquisition channels.
- Collaborate with the Senior Database Manager and the Director of Data and Technology to develop and maintain performance dashboards (e.g., Power BI) and support strategic data analysis, including both short-term and long-term channel performance evaluation.
Agency & Partner Management
- Manage day-to-day relationships with external fundraising and creative partners.
- Lead briefings, content sourcing, agent training, stakeholder approvals, and quality assurance processes.
- Negotiate contracts and hold suppliers accountable for delivery and performance.
Cross-Team and Market Integration
- Represent the acquisition programme in cross-functional planning meetings and contribute to a unified team culture focused on strategic delivery.
- Deliver and optimise the onboarding and conversion programme for new donors.
- Develop CRO strategies and implement with support from the Communications team, whilst supporting the enhancement of web development
- Ensure consistent campaign integration across touchpoints and maximise thematic/creative cohesion, working in collaboration with the Senior Communications Manager to lead and develop the creative and content strategy for acquisition.
- Act as a key liaison with colleagues across Operation Smile global markets, sharing insights and exploring opportunities to align strategy, co-develop creative, or pilot cross-market initiatives.
Compliance, Risk & Best Practice
- Ensure all campaigns meet legal, ethical and data protection requirements (e.g., GDPR, Fundraising Regulator).
- Act as a key contributor to organisational risk assessments relating to income performance and supplier performance.
- Keep up to date with sector trends, innovations and benchmarks to maintain best practice.
Person Specification
Essential Experience
- Extensive experience (ideally 5+ years) in Individual Giving or fundraising acquisition roles.
- Proven success delivering multi-channel acquisition campaigns with strong ROI.
- Experience managing external agencies and suppliers to high-performance standards.
- Strong background in digital fundraising and paid media.
- Demonstrated experience managing and reporting on substantial acquisition budgets.
Skills & Attributes

- Highly numerate and confident using data for decision-making and optimisation.

The Trusts and Foundations Manager will lead the development of a new income stream that supports the organisation’s future growth and strategic ambitions. With no current active grants or established project portfolio, the postholder will build the foundations of a strong trusts and foundations programme, developing a robust pipeline, shaping emerging ideas into fundable opportunities, and securing long-term income to enable new services.
Working collaboratively across the organisation, they will help colleagues understand funder expectations, develop compelling cases for support, and build the systems required for sustainable, high-quality grant fundraising. This role is central to diversifying income and ensuring the organisation is well positioned to secure future investment as new projects are developed.
ROLE OVERVIEW
The Trusts and Foundations Manager will develop and grow a new trusts and foundations income stream from the ground up. They will build a pipeline of prospective funders, shape emerging ideas into fundable opportunities, and lead on high quality applications that support the organisation’s future projects. Working collaboratively across directorates, they will cultivate strong funder relationships and establish the systems needed for sustainable, long‑term income growth.
KEY TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Planning and Strategy
- Lead the development of a new trusts and foundations income stream, building a sustainable portfolio of prospective, warm, and active funders.
- Create and maintain a structured pipeline that clearly maps cultivation, application, and stewardship stages.
- Establish effective systems, processes, and tools for researching, tracking, and managing all funding opportunities.
- Work with colleagues across the organisation to identify future fundable projects and shape them into compelling propositions.
- Develop annual trusts and foundations workplans and income forecasts aligned to organisational priorities.
Prospecting and Research
- Identify and research new trust, foundation, and statutory funders, prioritising those with the strongest alignment to RLSS UK’s mission and strategic framework.
- Identify creative ways to engage new funders and build early relationships, even before projects are fully developed.
- Stay informed about new trust and foundation funding opportunities and broader sector developments and funder priorities, to strengthen the fundraising strategy.
Bid Writing and Proposal Development
- Develop high quality, persuasive, and tailored funding applications that clearly articulate the need and potential impact.
- Ensure all proposals clearly articulate the need, planned impact, and align with funder requirements and priorities.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues across Education, Commercial Services, Finance and the wider Income Generation and Engagement team to develop credible cases for support, project budgets and clear anticipated impact.
- Identify the most appropriate approach for each funder, including opportunities for multi‑year grants and strategic partnerships.
Relationship Management and Stewardship
- Cultivate strong, positive relationships with funders, ensuring personalised, timely and impact focused stewardship for all supporters.
- Provide excellent donor care, responding promptly to enquiries and ensuring funders feel informed, valued, and connected to RLSS UK’s mission.
- Represent RLSS UK confidently in funder meetings, presentations, and networking events to strengthen long term support.
Reporting and Evaluation
- Monitor and report on trusts and foundations fundraising performance against KPIs and targets, reporting on performance to the Director of Income Generation and Engagement, Senior Leadership Team and the Board of Trustees.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date information in the CRM.
- Support the development of monitoring and evaluation frameworks to ensure future projects can deliver strong, funder‑ready impact reporting.
- Collaborate with internal teams to collect evidence of impact and evaluate programme performance.
- Support audit processes related to restricted funding alongside the Finance team.
- Use data-driven insights and KPIs to evaluate and refine strategies for maximum impact and return on investment.

This is an exciting opportunity for an Events and Community Fundraising Executive to take responsibility for supporting the delivery of the Whizz Kidz third-party events portfolio, including the London Marathon and Great North Run, and supporting our community fundraisers to raise vital funds.
You will support our events from set up and planning, recruiting and stewarding supporters whilst maintaining an excellent level of supporter care. We are seeing a growth in the number of fundraisers, so it is an exciting time to join Team Whizz Kidz.
Key accountabilities as our Events and Community Fundraising Executive include:
• Being the first point of contact for enquiries from events participants and community fundraisers
• Able to build and develop relationships with fundraisers
• Responsible for general administrative duties such as coding income, thanking supporters and managing and maintaining accurate records on Microsoft Dynamics
• Support on event days with logistics and set up
• Support with volunteer recruitment for the London Marathon
• Produce tailored materials, e.g. fundraising packs and newsletters to motivate and support event participants.

The Head of Face-to-Face Fundraising provides strategic leadership and operational oversight of the RSPB’s face-to-face fundraising programme across the UK.

Key Duties:

- Able to analyse performance data (e.g. conversion, attrition, ROI and quality metrics) and use insight to optimise programme performance.

Supporter focused Fundraising Officer role with SAT 7 UK, delivering supporter engagement, donor stewardship and fundraising campaigns to grow impact across the Middle East & North Africa.
Location: Hybrid (Chippenham office) – ideally 1 day a week onsite (minimum 1 day per month)
Contract: Full time (37.5 hours)

We’re looking for a well organised, warm, and proactive Fundraising Officer to help strengthen supporter relationships, individual giving, and deliver excellent donor experiences.
You will:
- Nurture supporters through calls, emails, and written communications
- Support fundraising appeals, regular giving, welcome journeys, and campaigns
- Work closely with the Fundraising & Impact Manager on donor stewardship
- Deliver monthly Joy Bringer campaign calls
- Contribute to direct marketing campaigns
- Maintain accurate and timely supporter records

We are looking for a motivated and relationship-focused Fundraising Officer to join our team on a 12-month maternity cover contract. In this role, you will help generate sustainable income to support our mission of ensuring that nobody has to face a mental health problem alone. You’ll design and deliver a bold plan to grow individual and community income, leading donor acquisition, retention and stewardship while overseeing the programme to build meaningful local relationships that strengthen our funding and deepen community support.

What you’ll be doing:
- Developing and owning the individual giving and community fundraising strategy and annual plan.
- Designing and delivering donor acquisition and retention programmes (welcome journeys, regular giving, renewal campaigns).
- Creating and managing a high-quality stewardship programme: personalised communications, events and impact reporting.
- Working with the Community Fundraising Lead to recruit, support and mobilise volunteers and community fundraisers; coordinating local events and activities.
- Working with Communications to produce campaign materials, stories and digital content.
- Managing donor records, segmentation and reporting in the CRM; monitoring performance against targets.
What we’re looking for:
- Proven experience in individual giving or equivalent (3+ years).
- Strong interpersonal skills and confidence engaging donors, volunteers and local businesses.
- Track record of developing and delivering acquisition, retention and stewardship activity.
- Good project management, organisation and ability to work independently across competing priorities.
- Experience with CRM systems and data-led decision-making.
- A values-led approach, excellent written communication and attention to detail.
