About the role

As Director of Global Marketing, Communications and Fundraising, you will ensure the organisation is positioned as a catalyst for the global elimination of orphanages — and that this positioning drives significant, sustainable income growth.

Hepatitis is now the world’s deadliest communicable disease, claiming 1.34 million lives each year. Yet the world has everything it needs to eliminate it, including affordable testing and treatment, a vaccine for hepatitis B, and a cure for hepatitis C. Lack of awareness, stigma and discrimination in society, and a lack of action by decision makers, has stalled hepatitis healthcare worldwide. As a result, 287 million people are living with the virus, but only a small fraction know.

We are looking for someone to position WHA and the hepatitis cause within the global health landscape.

The successful candidate will deliver high impact multi-channel global campaigns to communicate our work to key stakeholders. We are looking for a communications all-rounder, with skills across content creation, copywriting, marketing, and social media. The ideal candidate will be a proactive, creative problem solver, ready to turn their hand to a wide range of projects.

• Work effectively to create high-impact digital and print communications for WHA teams

Person specification

The Communications & Marketing Officer works across multiple projects and needs to be able to turn their hands to a range of tasks. They are a self-starter and problem-solver, using their skills to create engaging content.

Experience

• Experience working in a marketing/communications/PR or similar environment
• Experience implementing multi-channel advocacy, awareness-raising and/or behaviour-change campaigns
• Experience working in and/or an understanding of global health and international development
• Experience in managing organisational social media
• Experience in managing freelance contributors and suppliers to ensure they deliver on time, to budget and specification 

Skills and abilities:

• Social media content generation and management skills, with experience of HootSuite or other scheduling platforms

War on Want is recruiting a Senior Movement Building and Activism Officer who will play a key role in strengthening War on Want’s contribution to movements for justice and supporting public participation in campaigns.

The Senior Movement Building and Activism Officer will help to build relationships across movements, support grassroots organising and creating opportunities for collaboration, learning and collective action. This will help us build the collective power of our supporters, networks, organisations and movements that War on Want is part of.

The role works across War on Want’s campaigning priorities, with particular relevance to the organisation’s work on climate justice and economic justice, including our call for a Global Green New Deal. A key aspect of the role is supporting War on Want’s engagement in movement spaces and coalitions, including the Climate Justice Coalition, and contributing to coordinated mobilisation around key political moments such as COP31 and other major international justice campaigns.

Essential skills and experience

Proven experience in a communications role within the not-for-profit, international development, or advocacy sectors.

Strong written communication skills, with proven experience drafting press releases, articles, comment pieces, blogs and social media posts.

Strong understanding of social media analytics to drive up engagement and increase our online visibility. 

Familiarity with digital content tools (e.g. Adobe Suite, Canva).

Skilled in managing websites, email marketing, and content management systems (e.g. Mailchimp, Squarespace).

​Experience of working with parliamentarians or in public affairs, campaigning or advocacy work in either a paid or voluntary environment, preferably in the context of international development or education.

Salary, benefits, and other key information

IPNEd is hosted by Results UK. The line manager for this role will be IPNEd’s Senior Policy & Advocacy Adviser.

1. Starting date 

The position is available immediately, and is offered as an initial 12-month contract with the intention of being extended if funding permits.

2. Salary 

This role is graded at Results Professional Level Two with a salary of £32,785 per annum.

3. Hours of work

This is a full time role 35 hours a week. These hours will be worked as agreed with the line manager, but some flexibility may be required to meet the needs of the job. There is no paid overtime, but Results UK offers a flexitime system for all staff. 

4. Holidays 

25 days per year plus bank holidays. Holidays increase by one day per year of service to a maximum of 30 days. Holidays are earned in arrears. 

5. Notice Period and Probationary Period

This role has a one-month notice period. The employee will have a probationary period of three months, during which time the notice period is one week.

6. Location

The post is a hybrid role with the expectation that the postholder can work from Results’ office at Clarence Centre for Enterprise and Innovation, 6 St George’s Circus, London, SE1 6FE when required.

Currently, most Results UK staff are combining working from home with time in the office. 

7. Travel

Occasional International travel will be required. The post holder must be able and willing to travel to Global North and Global South countries.

8. Additional Benefits

• Produce and present monthly programme governance reports at the Directorate Programme Board, providing clear portfolio-level insight (milestones, deliverables, RAG status, KPIs, benefits, and financial/resource assumptions) to enable effective senior decision-making and assurance.
• Design and run governance routines (e.g., project start-up, weekly/monthly reviews, decision logs, change control) and support high-quality papers and actions for directorate governance forums; ensure timely escalation of material risks, issues and decisions to the COO.
• Support teams to evidence compliance with funder/contractual requirements; ensure appropriate documentation, approvals and version control are in place and accessible.
• Implement and maintain a robust lessons-learned process (during and post-delivery) and ensure findings are integrated into future programmes/projects through updated standards, templates, training and assurance checkpoints.

The Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health (RCPCH) is seeking an experienced and strategic policy and public affairs leader to head our devolved nations policy and public affairs function. This is a high-profile leadership role with a unique opportunity to influence policy, advocate for children and young people, and drive improvements in child health outcomes across Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland.

Reporting to the Associate Director of Policy and External Affairs and sitting on the Membership, Policy and External Affairs Divisional Management Team, you will lead the College’s policy and public affairs activity across the devolved nations. You will develop and deliver impactful advocacy strategies, build strong relationships with governments and policymakers, and ensure the College’s voice is heard on the issues that matter most to paediatricians, children and young people.

You will provide leadership to a team of Policy and Public Affairs Managers and work closely with College Officers, members, committees and colleagues across the organisation to maximise the College’s influence and impact.

Key responsibilities include:

• Leading the strategic planning and prioritisation of RCPCH policy and public affairs activities across Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland
• Developing and delivering influential public affairs and advocacy strategies to support the College’s policy priorities
• Providing expert advice on child health, healthcare delivery, workforce, public health and safeguarding policy across the devolved nations
• Managing and developing a team of three Policy and Public Affairs Managers

Essential skills and experience include:

The Role

The Centre for Long-Term Resilience is looking for a full-time Strategic Partnerships and Philanthropy Manager with knowledge of CLTR's areas of policy focus (AI safety and biosecurity) and with strong fluency in the conventions, expectations, and writing styles of philanthropic funders focused on extreme risks.

The Strategic Partnerships and Philanthropy Manager will play a central role in CLTR’s Fundraising Unit, holding day-to-day responsibility for a portfolio of significant funder partnerships and prospects, and supporting the organisation's long-term fundraising strategy. This is a hands-on role requiring excellent relationship management and project management skills, outstanding written communication skills, and the ability to work effectively across teams in a fast-paced environment. 

The role works closely with CLTR's policy unit leads, who are responsible for accuracy of programme content in fundraising materials and, where needed, providing direction on content and structure based on their own knowledge of specific donor preferences. 

What You'll Do

• Hold day-to-day responsibility for a portfolio of funder relationships, maintaining an up-to-date picture of each funder's priorities, renewal timelines, and grant spend down for discussion with CLTR’s Strategic Partnerships and Philanthropy Lead, CEO and policy unit leads.

• Project manage the delivery of donor-facing materials, including complex proposals, reports, and updates. This involves working in close partnership with policy units to agree on a structure, gathering relevant content, ensuring the framing of policy work is reflected appropriately (and contributing to this framing through donor-specific intelligence and relationship insight), coordinating with external contractors for strategic writing support, and enabling policy unit involvement throughout this process. 

• Coordinate with our finance team on proposal budgets for major funding bids, ensuring asks are financially robust and aligned with organisational planning.

• Track and communicate proposal and reporting timelines, ensuring clarity around deadlines and required inputs.

• Conduct research on donors and prospects and help to build a pipeline of donors interested in funding work in the extreme risks space, working with senior stakeholders to identify relationship entry points and brief policy units to prepare for meetings.

• Oversee due diligence for your caseload, coordinating with external contractors as needed.

• Work with senior colleagues, including policy unit leads, to engage funders on the organisation's work and coordinate communications when navigating multi-stakeholder relationships.

• Support effective grant management and compliance in coordination with the Operations Unit.

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in CLTR's CRM system.
