Role description
Malaria No More UK is looking to appoint a highly motivated Senior Advocacy Officer to join our team and help implement our advocacy strategies. Working with both our UK and global advocacy, you will cultivate a new generation of malaria champions and push malaria up the political agenda. This role will work on increasing our visibility and the resonance of our case with key stakeholders, including decision makers in the UK and around the world. Securing increased support will be vital to global efforts to accelerate progress towards ending malaria for good within a generation. We are looking for a confident communicator with strong project management skills and a good understanding of political advocacy.

Key responsibilities

• Providing project management support for a range of projects relating to our UK and global advocacy, including acting as project lead on agreed projects.
• Strategic stakeholder mapping, including building and maintaining relationships with UK parliamentarians and keeping contact records in our database updated on a regular basis. 
• Lead the delivery of high-quality events for policy and political audiences, including at the UK party conferences, and international meetings.
• Daily monitoring of the global malaria landscape and UK parliamentary activities and keeping the team informed of relevant developments and engagement opportunities.
• Drafting of political briefings on key policy areas within malaria and global health.
• Providing administrative support relating to our UK and global advocacy, including the coordination of stakeholder mailings, updating our contact management system (Salesforce), scheduling and attending meetings, and taking minutes.
• Managing relationships with scientists working on malaria and providing them with advocacy insight through our UK Malaria Technical Expert Collective.
• Identifying opportunities to engage political decision-makers and new malaria champions in the UK.

About the role

The Head of External Relations is a key senior leadership role at Rainforest Foundation UK (RFUK) responsible for overseeing effective fundraising and communications strategies to support the organisation's work protecting rainforests and the rights of Indigenous Peoples and local communities.

Reporting to the Executive Director, this role is responsible for building RFUK’s external profile and support for its ambitious 2033 vision to scale up community-led protection of tropical forests. The position combines strategic communications, outreach, targeted campaigns, and media engagement to connect RFUK’s impactful programmes to its growing audience, supporters and funders.

This a key role in the organisation, managing a small team, working closely with the Programmes team to craft compelling narratives that drive engagement and action, with the Operations team to ensure financial sustainability, and with the Executive Director to create and implement targeted fundraising strategies.

2. Graphic Design & Data Visualisation

Evidence Translation: Work closely with policy leads to turn complex data into bold visualisations that make mental health statistics instantly understandable and moving. 

Brand Guardianship: Act as the lead designer for UnitedGMH assets, including reports, to ensure digital assets consistently meet a "memorable thought leader" standard. EIA is seeking to recruit an Outreach and Communications Officer to strengthen the visibility, influence and coordination of its climate campaign.

The role sits at the intersection of communications, public affairs and stakeholder engagement. The postholder will focus on translating and amplifying EIA’s policy and advocacy work through media, stakeholder engagement and external positioning. An important aspect of the role will be to support engagement and coordination with EIA partners, to build the movement and amplify their efforts.

The postholder will not be responsible for developing detailed policy positions or leading policy campaigns but will work closely with the campaigns team to ensure EIA’s analysis and priorities are effectively communicated and reach key audiences.

Key areas of responsibility

Media and strategic communications

· Support the development and delivery of communications strategies aligned with campaign priorities

Hepatitis is now the world’s deadliest communicable disease, claiming 1.34 million lives each year. Yet the world has everything it needs to eliminate it, including affordable testing and treatment, a vaccine for hepatitis B, and a cure for hepatitis C. Lack of awareness, stigma and discrimination in society, and a lack of action by decision makers, has stalled hepatitis healthcare worldwide. As a result, 287 million people are living with the virus, but only a small fraction know.

Digital Marketing Officer (Paid Media) FTC

As part of our Digital Engagement Team, the Digital Marketing Officer will be a digital advocate promoting, enabling, and supporting the ambitions of the charity and its departments. The officer will help drive the continued growth of the charity’s fundraising, engagement, and brand awareness via digital channels, helping to drive charity income. The officer will work with the Digital Marketing Manager and colleagues across the team to support in the planning, deployment, and analysis of a variety of digital paid-for campaigns.

The post will report directly to the Digital Marketing Manager and work closely with the rest of the digital team, as well as colleagues in the Brand team and wider departments. The Digital Marketing Officer will provide support across the organisation, helping to plan, consult and advise on the creation of new digital campaigns across our PPC and paid social channels, reporting on their progress against target.

This role will have a focus on executing paid-for campaigns across our social and search channels as well as providing feedback relating to strategy, development and implementation.

This role is a 12 month FTC.

Key Responsibilities:

· Plan, develop and implement PPC and Paid Social campaigns for departments across the organisation with a wide variety of goals and objectives.

· Manage and optimise paid advertising campaigns across a variety of channels, including Google Ads, Meta Ads and more.

· Consult across the charity on best-practice use of paid-for digital engagement.

· Analyse and report on key campaign metrics and KPIs, providing regular updates to key stakeholders.

1. Horizon Scanning: Monitor government departments (e.g., DSIT, DfE), funding and regulatory bodies (UKRI, Research England, OfS, Innovate UK), and other stakeholders for policy updates, funding calls, and consultation launches in relation to Research and Innovation policy.

2. Briefings: Produce concise policy briefings, data summaries, and position papers for GuildHE members and leadership on key Research and Innovation issues (e.g., REF, knowledge exchange, KEF, commercialisation, research culture, open research). Develop high-quality external reports, consultations, blogs and other materials articulating member challenges and opportunities.

3. Consultation Drafts: Assist senior policy colleagues in gathering evidence, analysing member feedback, collaborating with sector stakeholders, and drafting compelling arguments that articulate the unique perspectives of GuildHE institutions.

Location: Home-based in England with occasional travel for meetings, workshops, and team activities. Head Office is in Leicester.

About the Role

We are looking for Programme Governance Lead to manage and oversee the successful delivery of all programmes/projects within the Programmes Directorate by establishing and leading consistent governance and assurance. The postholder will strengthen programme governance, reporting and risk management ensuring programmes are delivered by agreed methodologies and in a consistent manner.

Key Responsibilities

As our Programme Governance Lead, you will:

• Define, implement and maintain an agreed methodology for programme/project lifecycle governance.
• Chair programme/project boards and ensuring decisions, and actions are documented and actioned.
• Identify risks, issues and dependencies which are not captured by Programme Portfolio Leads. Ensure consistent risk management across projects and programmes. Proactively identify cross-programme/project risks and issues (including those not visible to project/programme leads), implement mitigations, and escalate risks/issues to the Director of Programmes and COO as required. Assess programme/project risks against the NYA risk register and update the register accordingly.
• Produce and present monthly programme governance reports at the Directorate Programme Board, providing clear portfolio-level insight (milestones, deliverables, RAG status, KPIs, benefits, and financial/resource assumptions) to enable effective senior decision-making and assurance.
• Design and run governance routines (e.g., project start-up, weekly/monthly reviews, decision logs, change control) and support high-quality papers and actions for directorate governance forums; ensure timely escalation of material risks, issues and decisions to the COO.
• Support teams to evidence compliance with funder/contractual requirements; ensure appropriate documentation, approvals and version control are in place and accessible.
• Implement and maintain a robust lessons-learned process (during and post-delivery) and ensure findings are integrated into future programmes/projects through updated standards, templates, training and assurance checkpoints.
