The Lead Project Worker will oversee and coordinate the staff team and volunteers, allocate referrals and assess workloads, ensure effective service delivery and maintain strong local operational partnerships to achieve high-quality outcomes for individuals who use the service. Reporting to the CEO and working as part of the senior management team, you will have overall responsibility for fundraising income performance, the development and delivery of LLST’s fundraising strategy, and the successful delivery and growth of our events portfolio. About the role
Shelter Manchester are recruiting two Housing Rights Workers, as part of our @Home Service, to undertake preventative work with families at risk of homelessness, so that they can sustain a safe and secure home.
Your role will be to deliver high quality housing advice and advocacy in school settings to families at risk of becoming homeless and experiencing housing issues. You will plan and deliver holistic casework to families and support them to resolve their housing situation, as well as recording quantitative and qualitative data to evidence the impact of these interventions.
You will work within school and community settings to deliver rights awareness workshops to improve professional’s knowledge of local housing issues and raise awareness of housing rights
About you
You will have the ability to engage and work collaboratively with individuals, communities and a variety of stakeholders, including running group workshops and presentations. You have experience, knowledge of and/or proven ability in housing and homelessness advice and advocacy, with the ability to progress to specialist level knowledge. Essential to the role will be good time management, carrying out casework related interviews, maintaining detailed case records and offering advice and support to clients to inform their decisions.
