Fauna & Flora is seeking a well-organised team player to join the Institutional Funding team and support the delivery of Fauna & Flora’s institutional funding strategy in the fast-evolving external context. Other organisations may call this role Programme Funding Officer / Coordinator; Institutional Funding Officer; Business Development Officer.
Reporting to the Head of Institutional Funding, you will help the organisation keep abreast of the external landscape. This will include leading on researching in-country funding opportunities from institutional sources (such as Defra, FCDO, EU, AFD, climate and environment multilateral funds and multi-donor pooled funds) and producing/maintaining up-to-date briefs on priority donor strategies to support programme teams in both pre-positioning and submissions. You will work across the statutory funding portfolio, critiquing proposals, providing editing and formatting support, and ensuring that all documents produced for donors meet their criteria, as well as follow Fauna & Flora’s approval and submission procedures. In addition, there will be scope to manage smaller bid submissions, engaging directly with colleagues across our conservation programme teams.
Excellent relationship-management and communications skills are essential to the role. The ideal candidate has some experience working with institutional donors and is comfortable pivoting between ongoing research-based tasks and short-term, deadline driven tasks. We are looking for somebody with the ability to analyse complex information and present it in an accessible format, who also enjoys working in a dynamic environment where the ability to respond swiftly to changing organisational and team needs is paramount.

Key Responsibilities
- Providing exceptional account management to ensure the partnership meets agreed income targets, KPIs and objectives at an appropriate cost to income ratio.
- Leading and developing key project areas within the partnership, ensuring opportunities are maximised and activity is delivered to a high standard.
- Planning and delivering bespoke fundraising challenges and events, collaborating with third party suppliers where needed.
- Supporting the delivery and growth of cause related marketing campaigns, managing contracts, invoicing and stewardship of Morrisons suppliers.
- Ensuring timely monitoring, evaluation and reporting on partnership performance and impact.
- Identifying strategic opportunities within Morrisons that support partnership goals, business objectives and Marie Curie’s mission.
- Preparing Commercial Participators Agreements (CPAs) and ensuring all commercial activity is compliant and delivered to agreed timelines.
- Achieving and exceeding financial targets, ensuring all income and expenditure is accurately recorded and reflected in budgets.
- Maintaining accurate CRM records and company information.
- Producing detailed income reports, financial analysis and quarterly projections for senior leadership.
What You’ll Need
- Proven track record in partnership management within a corporate-charity partnership setting or commercial setting
- Success in pitching and retaining existing partners from proposal development to employee vote strategies.
- Experience of meeting and exceeding income targets.
- Experience of identifying, prospecting, and securing income opportunities with corporate partners.
- Strong knowledge of corporate charity landscape, key sector and partnership trends, commercial insight, and awareness.
- Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills.
- Ability to communicate, influence and negotiate with a wide range of audiences at all levels.
- A creative thinker with an eye for detail who can come up with innovative ideas for company approaches, fundraising, communication, and stewardship campaigns.

The role also includes administrative and HR support, such as assisting with recruitment processes, timesheets, training coordination, and ensuring compliance with fundraising regulations and best practice.

About the role
The Web Optimisation Manager plays an important role in improving the performance of Christian Aid’s website and digital platforms, helping ensure our digital experiences effectively attract, engage and inspire supporters to take action. With a strong focus on digital fundraising, you will use data and insight to understand how people interact with our website and identify opportunities to strengthen supporter journeys and increase engagement.
Working with analytics tools and behavioural insight platforms, you will explore how users navigate our website and help identify areas where we can improve the experience. You will plan and deliver A/B and multivariate tests to better understand what works for our audiences and support ongoing improvements to user experience and conversion.
You will develop our technical SEO approach, contributing to web audits, keyword analysis and site performance improvements that help ensure Christian Aid’s content is visible and accessible to the people who need it most.
Working closely with our Digital Development Team, you will contribute to improvements and new features that enhance supporter journeys and campaign performance. You will also collaborate with the Senior Digital Content Editor and colleagues across teams to ensure content aligns with SEO best practice and supports the organisation’s content plans.
As our web performance specialist, you will help translate website data into clear insights that colleagues can act on, using dashboards and reporting to support data-informed decision making and continuous improvement across the organisation.
About you
You are a digitally curious and analytical professional who enjoys improving online experiences. You have experience analysing user journeys and website performance, using tools such as GA4, Tag Manager and SEO platforms to understand how people interact with digital content. You are comfortable identifying friction in user journeys, developing practical recommendations to improve engagement and conversion, and working collaboratively with developers and content teams to implement improvements.
Experience with CRO testing, GA4, CMS platforms such as Drupal, and technical SEO will help you succeed in this role, alongside strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.

About the Role
This senior fundraising role leads the strategy and delivery of high value income including major donors, trusts and foundations, and corporate partnerships.

We are looking for a passionate and strategic Philanthropy Manager to help drive our mission to restore wildlife and create a world where wildlife thrives.
